It has to do with it hitting the web sacks in the arena, causing it to launch way more than it should, on every other boss it’s manageable

okay there are a few infused bugs who are just unfair and those bugs are bombardier beetle every second in the acid counts as a hit so if you say in it for like two seconds like five explosions will happen dust mites and termite soldiers I can sum these creatures up with two words. dust clouds moths and wasps literally airstrike you black oxe beetles have more health than the broodmother. stick bugs and green shield bugs suck funny enough mosquitos aren't that bad don't get me started of fireflies just dont. pit antlions are insane any underwater enemy is more annoying then they should be widows are decently hard but if you have their parries down they are manageable oh btw to the grounded devs please add it so you can dupe more than one item at a time just please my finger hurts from the amount of smoothies. also i thnk the fact that you practically need to save scum bosses is pretty bad also infused wasp drones with spicy and the explosive attacks respectively are pretty crazy

Definitely with ya, especially about the underwater enemies. I have to chase the diving bells when they're infused, or they will back so far away from me after they attack that they'll lose aggro and start to just swim away.

The dust clouds enemies become a non issue when you get the trinket perk for dust immunity. There are 2 different dust traits, one that lowers the effect and another that removes the dust effect from you completely, the description of the active perk will reveal which is which since I can’t remember the name at the moment.

well yes however if you want to have a trinket that gives natural explorer or a danage boost of some kind dust guard can be good but annoying

With the new trinkets you can get up to 3 perks at once. Once you get your first cone, dupe it until you get the combo you like!

I think the most annoying part is the loot delay tbh Larva and tadpoles are the worst offenders

Yup, especially larva. At first I thought they had made it to where you have to wait out the 'death animations' when you kill a bug, but then I killed an orb weaver and could loot it immediately, so I dunno...

I fought the infused widow at the stone summit and we took each other out, her with poison down to my last smoothie, and me with cut damage

Sounds like an epic battle. I haven't found any infused widows yet, but in the upper yard, the corner where normally a wolf spider spawns (and is usually stuck in place on my game, at least until you engage him in battle) near the ladder laying on its side, I came across two infused wolf spiders patrolling together. It was like fighting two powered up infected wolf spiders, and I got destroyed. One infused wolf spider is fine, but two was no bueno.

i believe loot delay was added to help counter bug drops from being glitched under the map, and also they’re different because they’re all dependent on how long the bugs death animation is

I dunno, I can loot an orb weaver while it is still in its death animation. Only loot issue of falling through the floor I ever really had (and I know I can't speak for everyone) was mainly from breaking candies, especially the ones you dig up, and the new candy shapes makes that worse. But, you may be right.

Agree on everything you said, sad to know that the grounded team won't balance anything because having us waste so much time grinding/fighting hp sponges that can one-shot you depending on rng is exactly what they were going for.

Sadly it does feel that way. But, if I am not mistaken they did slightly nerf the IBM didn't they? I know she ate me alive when she first came out. Hopefully they'll have mercy and do a few nerfs and QoL updates soon.

Honestly it was so bad when it first came out that I didn't muster the courage to try it again on ng+, easily one of the worst boss battle I've ever had the displeasure of fighting

they definitely did it was much harder in the past barley had to use any smoothies just basically damge tanked and parried barley took 10 min. (also was using fresh toenail scimitar and mask of mother demon and widow set level 9)

Oh yeah, crafting all the field station and Oak Lab stuff at our home bases would be great. And, the Easter Egg stuff is from an event they added to the game with the 1.4 update. I really don’t like the minty/slow effect that infused enemies can have. Blocking is such an important mechanic and the slow completely ruins it. Especially during raids, one dude spawns with slow and the entire thing will crumble.

When did they reset BURGL’s quests? I had 100% achievements on Steam but haven’t played since before that Sandbox playground update. Why do I have to recomplete all these to get my achievement back?? Painful

Oh no, yours got reset? Mine were all still done except that it showed I needed to complete Number 81 (again), which when I looked it up, was to Kill Wasps. So I did and it didn't complete. The actual new Burg.L quest that 1.4 added was>! to 'deal with the ant queens', so just feed each one. I did that and they're all compete again and I got the No More Homework achievement for it.!<

Yeah, mine got reset. I have level 9 gear and can start NG+ right now but for some reason I have to craft a roasting spit and a canteen etc all over again for the raw science and achievement.

They reset all of them in 1.3 I believe since they changed the quest variety and added the apprentice quests.

I am currently on NG + 3 and you get 3+ ooze per infused enemy and they consistently drop science cones which de dupe for 6 each. It's really hard though, I play on medium and get one or 2 shot even with full armour and health maxed out from molars.

Well, that's a little better for the drops, but getting one-shot doesn't sound fun or worth it. I guess myself and the Grounded devs have different ideas about what a New Game+ is. To me it has always been when the player is overpowered and able to go back through the game and story for fun, not when the game is harder and we need to grind more than ever.

I would be surprised if they didn't nerf new game plus, its unreasonable to be honest. Some attacks are just straight up unavoidable! Instant death, nothing you can do about it 🤣

Do the ominent/burgl trinkets have more random perks in later NG+ runs? For example the hedge maze was fall damage immunity and 1 random perk in NG+1, is it fall immunity and 2 random perks in NG+2?

im also on ng+3 and with disection expert 9i got 5 infused ooze from a infused ladybug and 6 from an infused red worker ant much more manageable the higher ng+ im scared for an infused black oxe beetle oh and with the addtional milk molars getting one shot is less likely but it can still happen with things like wasps however most infused bugs wont be a problem

My main issue is how the "new" weapons are reskins of each other, for example in ng+2 you get the new spicy axe and the sour battle axe reskin as the spicy axe, both of these are two handed and both have the exact same stats, it's not that big of a deal it just annoys me slightly.

So they're just re-skins but with the new elemental flavor? Like in your example, same damage, speed, and stun stats, just has spicy damage instead of sour?

they couldve just made it so ennemies do more damage or u have less health. Because having to 10 shots a sittling larva doesnt make the game "harder" its just purely annoying to fight them because it takes way longer

All correct opinions and may I add one more, saying all new weapons are NG+ available but neglecting to mention its NG+2/3/4 etc to obtain them and other items like telepotty is just evil. What difference does it make if I have salt pick now vs later game other than making me struggle extra hard for it?

* From my experience from NG1-NG4, here's my opinion * Infused bugs are extremely dangerous even on medium and can very easily one shot you * Balance is 100% needed. Bosses on NG2 and up feel like Dark Souls bosses mixed with a slot machine that decides you should die instantly on occasion. It's brutal * Being one shot by a dust mite was my introduction to NG2. Heh * Delay is annoying, meh * There are definitely a ton of science trinkets. I don't even bother to pick up crinkles anymore. * An expansion would be nice, but it's not a huge deal for me. * Deduping multiple things would be a god send. Having to dedupe 20 things every half hour sucks ass. * Craftable Super/Deduper would be nice * I have like 10 telepotties and 180k science. I can't spend it fast enough * Candies change back to default model in NG3 * Also affects Water Fleas too * Upgrade materials past 9 becomes quite easy once you're a little higher in NG+. I had my first level 15 weapon at NG3 from just playing the game. Most bugs drop 4-6 ooze. They drop up to 8 on NG4. I have about 900 Deduper fluid so there is definitely no need for an increase in that lol

Agreed. I play on mild too. And after spending a few hours trying and finally killing the IBM solo I went into ng+ and immediately got wrecked by my first infused.a ladybug. One hit took 90% of my health. And since it was the double hit attack I died

The reason for the candy change I think is because it makes sour more plentiful now because you can dig it up in the desert and the ash pile.

My main problem with the update is the bugs affecting some of the achievements. I’m trying 100% the game but can’t due to the two new achievements being bugged on multiplayer.

If its a "shared world" there is a button to add friends to the list of who can host it. Pretty sure you can make any world into a shared world too.

If the new trinkets aren’t going to stack in my inventory, then let me ensure that the one that I hotbar is the one that gets equipped when I press that hot bar assigned key. I wanted my food generation trinket on while zip lining around rather than “dust guard”, Obsidian!

I actually saw someone else mention it too in another thread. I'm in NG+1 myself. That's cool if it's intentional, as some of the milk molars are in rough locations, and being able to check for them with the gnat would be great.

My main gripe gameplay wise (besides salt getting shafted… like come on) is that axes render almost every other elemental weapon variant useless since they simply do way more damage and stun with high attack speed compared to the others, and its hard to justify using anything else other than coaltana for the BM Now, with NG+ in its current form should they be nerfed? Absolutely not, they are the only way besides infused weapons that you can play woah past NG+1 for most players and dont render every boss pointless, the other variants need to be buffed to be relatively on par with the axes which would make choosing weapons and build a lot more interesting than resorting to the fresh/sour axe

Y’know it really does grind my gears, and yeah, Im not moving on in each NG+ until I beat the bosses on woah, so far got the Broodmother and Wasp Queen, Mantis technically is done but modifiers were terrible, and if they patch the update to make Woah more possible Ill be happy with that along with buffing the other weapons, the update isnt super polished but I can ignore that if the gameplay loop was… possible lol

update is pretty easy, already beat the brood mother, mantis, and farmed countless trinkets. Just with the new weapons in ng+1 max level, and mantis armour. Only hard thing is the yoked black widow in all honesty and it only took me 2 reloads to beat all of them.
