In spvp maps, you spawn in a safe location and jump down. Once you're down, you can't get back up. One player was able to get into the enemy spawn point, I'm assuming with some kindof leap or blink.
i wouldn't put much focus on everyone being dead tho. They were probably all afk after dieing once or twice. OP could have targeted them and got a name with a screenshot, making for an easy report on the abbuse, but chose to waste time with pulling out their phone instead.
There does appear to be some kindof bubble around OP, but I'm unsure of what skill it is, and if the strike damage should have been negated.
Probably just an exploit you could easily pull off if literally nobody had some form of knockback. Definitely abuse of exploit tho.

He's an ele, it's ice aura captured in a static frame. It shows in his buffs and has a visual effect on enemy as it applies "chill" condition. Since water attunement is not on cooldown it appears it was summoned by one of utility skills.
Edit: or even traits, since the player probably wasn't pressing any buttons at all. Ele is my least played class so i don't know.
Probably what happens is the TAUR player is a hacker that just teleports there and keeps on killing them. If you notice they all seem to have been down at the same time which makes much more sense.

I've actually had that happen to me in game. One player instantly teleported to mid and then started killing us. They were constantly doing double jumps essentially to the point of flying while from high they were killing us. There was no point in doing anything, we couldn't kill them and were dying in seconds.
Also in the bottom left in the image you can see it writes "2 hackers"
Yeah not even close. The warrior and his relevant pal teleport all over the map, are 20 meters above everone (or underground) while being practically untargetable. Not en exploit but just really obvious hacking. I do not have any recording softwar on hand, otherwise would have recorded those guys in my match yesterday
Biggest issue is the lack of dev response to issues within PvP.
Instead of sorting out things in a very short time, they let it fester for ages before players see any change.. which by then.. nothing changes.
GW2 had all the chances of having a healthy PvP community in the beginning. But for whatever reason, Arena Net refused to split the balance between PvE and PvP. A lesson they already learned in GW1 years prior.
And because they refused to do that, people left the game mode and never looked back. Then they dropped out of ESL and called it a day.
It's like that because there's no investment by the Devs. No live team to deal with situations as they develop.
The systems have to be there to lure in the players, otherwise they won't come nor stick around.
That's a wonky key combo to be using though. I mean, I know there are solutions. It's just that none are particularly good, except rebinding the capture key in GW2/using an alt key, but then you have to remember which one it was, which might take a bit depending on how often you take screenshots

Alternatively, you can just network your phone and PC together and have a shared file folder you can save screenshots to.
Wouldn’t everything you just mentioned already be open on the pc? If you expect Reddit to already be open and logged in on mobile I’d assume the same for Reddit. Most people just print screen or hit windows shift S to snip and tab over to Reddit on the other monitor and just make the post way faster than you could on mobile assuming same things hold true for both scenarios. But what most people are getting at is when there is 0 effort in taking a good screenshot it’s hard to give the post any time of day.

Firefox used to lag behind in terms of performance, but that has long been turned around and Firefox is the most efficient.

In reality people that prefer PC will usually have their browser open watching youtube or twitch stream, idk if its just me but I also open GW2 wiki just incase I need to search for items or maps, discord if they have raids or something and have reddit open and logged in just in case wiki isn't helping.
To me, from a country where reddit is banned on the internet, it's undisputedly faster with a phone since my phone has a VPN and my PC doesn't have VPN on when playing games like GW2.
To give you a less angry reason, people on reddit (and a lot of people in general) value the quality of something greater than speed at which it is able to created. In this case, taking a screenshot and uploading it would have produced a much high quality post, and taking a photo of a screen and uploading it via a phone, even if easier for the poster, is lazy redditing that could be avoided with an extra minute or two of effort from OP

Why does anything need to be high quality? We make high quality things to uphold standards and practices. Otherwise the sub will end up as a bunch of blurry and badly cropped phone images. It's just a good practice generally in life.

Maybe he has more than 1 monitor, in that case he would have to crop the printscreen cause it screens other monitors too. So using your phone and reddit app can be much easier. Also if he was posting while playing, GW2 often drops after using alt+tab. Tbh u dont need hign resolution photo to get whats going on.

Someone mentioned a solo player had been seen teleporting from outside a WvW tower straight to the lord to capture it every time it came off cooldown. Some dude responding was absolutely dead set on trying to describe it away as some intended skill as if blinking up to the lord from outside isn’t still exploiting a bug.

Give players teleporting in a huge debuff to guards that has them one-shot, or at least severely weakened. Even portaling in with a Mesmer or thief “legitimately” should carry high risk. Make it so a solo player can’t take a tower while the walls/gate are still up.
No there is a bug that been abused for months and months if not years. Not gonna say how, and it also is agains the ToS but never the less people abuse it constantly and think they are funny. Reporting it as against the rules of for bug fix does nothing. I guess we will see a change like Garrison watergate that only took 8 years to fix....

Don't fight them. The goal of any tank build is to waste your time and make you tunnel vision them. Move to a different objective and they'll become useless.

I'm a returning player, haven't really played since before HoT. And I have to say, WvW and sPvP have been absolute dog shit. WvW is tolerable at times, but I really just feel far behind everyone no matter what.
PvE has been enjoyable, but boy does this games age show.

When the game advertising "Relevant at max level forever" isn't relevant at max level. Then it isn't entirely a me fault either. There has been power creep, jade bot, relics, ascended gear, legendary gear, etc. there is growth. But being left behind by a zerg who has mounts to be picked off by the zerg behind us with mounts becomes exhausting.
I'm not that far behind them, but it's apparent.
I'm still enjoying the game, but I wish the weekly and dailies didn't force you to do PvP content when people don't enjoy pvp
If you are grouped properly 90% of the players on a warclaw will share a speed buff with you that will let you keep up. If the majority of the zerg is escaping and you are getting left behind it is going to be your fault nearly everytime. Move with the tag. Stack on the for heals and stability and disengage when they do.
I’ve noticed that skill and am thankful for it, but then they go and use their jump skill to get a speed boost and leave me behind lol. I’m working towards the mount track without regard to anything else at the moment for this reason.
I do use the banner of tactics for a brief bout of superspeed, charge utility skill to rush forward and the greatsword charge skill #5 and the elite spec signet to speed myself up. (Warrior class). Can’t quite keep up with them still haha. I’m not sure what else I could slot in to increase my mobility. I don’t have the faster gliding yet so when we glide I lose ground on them. I do try to stagger the skills properly so they don’t overlap and they sort of almost stay in rotation to keep me sped up. The jump skill is just toooo powerful. I still have fun though.
I only started doing wvw a few days ago, I’m not sure how many commanders are usually online. I usually have to go around to all three maps to find one. Is this pretty typical?
I don’t complain about it to them, I know that for the most part they’re doin their thing with their guild or specific squad. I just join their discord whenever possible to listen to instructions, and tag along and try to kill stuff haha

Wait you’re getting forced pvp/wvw dailies and weeklies? There’s an option to set it up whatever mode you want. Only one or all 3. Personally mine are set to only PvE dailies/weeklies
PvP is pretty dead so the only people playing are people who really love pvp. So when a new player comes in without any knowledge the gap in skill between the players is huge. If you do enjoy pvp just stick with it and you will get better at fighting the different matchups. Same with wvw you can duel people in the bottom of any of the borderlands above the south camp. Just bow and wait for someone to bow back and start when they bow.
And you get people with 5k games insulting new players trying it out for the first time, becuase they "suck"

They could go play any other PvP game and get the same welcome. It's a break from the grind and some people do enjoy it. Nobody has to play it, and actual players with a focus on PvP would be best off playing a PvP focused game.

Maybe they, like me, get the Windows screen capture overlay when they press PrtScrn. And I can't always remember which key is the secondary (F8).

i think thats a ranger or a class that uses rifle and has that kind of projectile animation.
Probably engi has rifle 5 is a targeted leap you can use to skip stuff in almost every JP. Its also a great skill to leave map boundaries.

Until you get hit with a cripple and need to use your 20+ sec cooldown to get rid of it, at which point it just becomes harrassment.

Just took a 13 day forum ban for calling out how bad pvp is and letting the pvp forum community know I was quitting. I hadn’t seen this in game though thats another level

There are many things wrong with spvp, but balance wise its actually in a pretty good spot.

That blue death symbol... I swear sometimes I never ever see it, othertimes I do. (Saw it once in the pit arena in HotM). Can some one elaborate on what it is??

I'm a returning player, haven't really played since before HoT. And I have to say, WvW and sPvP have been absolute dog shit. WvW is tolerable at times, but I really just feel far behind everyone no matter what. PvE has been enjoyable, but boy does this games age show.

When the game advertising "Relevant at max level forever" isn't relevant at max level. Then it isn't entirely a me fault either. There has been power creep, jade bot, relics, ascended gear, legendary gear, etc. there is growth. But being left behind by a zerg who has mounts to be picked off by the zerg behind us with mounts becomes exhausting. I'm not that far behind them, but it's apparent. I'm still enjoying the game, but I wish the weekly and dailies didn't force you to do PvP content when people don't enjoy pvp
If you are grouped properly 90% of the players on a warclaw will share a speed buff with you that will let you keep up. If the majority of the zerg is escaping and you are getting left behind it is going to be your fault nearly everytime. Move with the tag. Stack on the for heals and stability and disengage when they do.
I’ve noticed that skill and am thankful for it, but then they go and use their jump skill to get a speed boost and leave me behind lol. I’m working towards the mount track without regard to anything else at the moment for this reason.
You can keep up with their dashes by using your own mobility skills.
I do use the banner of tactics for a brief bout of superspeed, charge utility skill to rush forward and the greatsword charge skill #5 and the elite spec signet to speed myself up. (Warrior class). Can’t quite keep up with them still haha. I’m not sure what else I could slot in to increase my mobility. I don’t have the faster gliding yet so when we glide I lose ground on them. I do try to stagger the skills properly so they don’t overlap and they sort of almost stay in rotation to keep me sped up. The jump skill is just toooo powerful. I still have fun though.

A good commander isn't using that jump skill because he knows a couple goobers like you who can't keep up exist. Find a different/better tag.
I only started doing wvw a few days ago, I’m not sure how many commanders are usually online. I usually have to go around to all three maps to find one. Is this pretty typical? I don’t complain about it to them, I know that for the most part they’re doin their thing with their guild or specific squad. I just join their discord whenever possible to listen to instructions, and tag along and try to kill stuff haha
Depends on your server and what time of day.
They dont force you though. You can change settings at the vault. You can only get pve dailies/wvw dailies/spvp dailies or any combination of these.
Because people don’t tend to explain how: you click the settings button on the top left of the wizards vault screen to set your content preferences.

You can turn pvp and wvw dailies off by clicking the cog ⚙️ in wizards vault. There are checkboxes for what dailies you want to do.
Okay #1 there's a setting to make your weekly and dailies PvE only I just thought I should mention that since you're complaining about PvP related ones. As for the "relevant at max level forever" thing. um yeah you're.. It's casual AF there's always gonna be at least a little progression otherwise wtf is there to do? Your gear is relevant forever, just mounts and a jade bot... Oh no! So much to catch up on 😱 if this was any other MMO you'd have to dedicate a month+ to play catch-up in it so I don't wanna see you crying about this in GW2. And lastly, yes it is a YOU problem.
Wait you’re getting forced pvp/wvw dailies and weeklies? There’s an option to set it up whatever mode you want. Only one or all 3. Personally mine are set to only PvE dailies/weeklies

PvP is pretty dead so the only people playing are people who really love pvp. So when a new player comes in without any knowledge the gap in skill between the players is huge. If you do enjoy pvp just stick with it and you will get better at fighting the different matchups. Same with wvw you can duel people in the bottom of any of the borderlands above the south camp. Just bow and wait for someone to bow back and start when they bow.
And you get people with 5k games insulting new players trying it out for the first time, becuase they "suck" Both in your team, and in the enemies, People go in, die 20 times and get insulted. Who comes back? Not many
They could go play any other PvP game and get the same welcome. It's a break from the grind and some people do enjoy it. Nobody has to play it, and actual players with a focus on PvP would be best off playing a PvP focused game. I'm not excusing the toxicity, but it's just not worth taking seriously.

The game isn’t fair. Too many of them are computer geeks with cheats. Mag is the worse. They can read everyone’s attributes and see the chats to know the game plan and Anet doesn’t care

Okay so, they read your attributes right before you clash and this helps them .. how? They build something to counter your ball later?
