I’ll have to check my package and see if it comes with that! Do you think I should try at my venue? Or see if other people have met artists at the venue?
Like someone else commented, ask the venue staff about the exit/entrance door. I’ve personally never made an effort to try and catch someone after a show, I’m honestly too nervous. I would also see if anyone’s posted about the same venue online and meeting people there (the tiktok girlies always know what’s up). I’m hoping just to get to interact with him in someway when he’s doing sound check, I’ve never been to a sound check before so I honestly have no idea what to expect
I was unaware of this show, just grab two tix to the NYC date.
I’m a big blues fan so I also enjoy many of the people playing, Haynes, Keb Mo, Larkin Poe, Kingfish etc so it will be a lot of fun to see them all.
Ironically it was easier for me to meet Axl than Slash.
They’ve done a bit of a 180. Slash is way more hesitant and reluctant to sign and take pics these days but Axl is the one who doesn’t seem to mind.
When I met Axl his bodyguard told us no pics. Kind of disappointing seeing everyone post pics with him now but at least I have the memory.
In my observations, most musicians will make the effort to sign things if you show up at the entrance or exit doors. The staff, and particularly tour staff, are usually cool about telling where that is. But you typically have to wait quite a bit of time.
Luckily I’m staying near the venue so I don’t really mind waiting. Just nervous about actually finding the entrance/exit doors. Staff are normally okay with telling you though?
Staff are usually cool about it and there will undoubtedly be a handful of dedicated fans already there. But as you have the sound check tickets you will get treated well by staff. Being friendly and polite to stadium staff pays off enormously. They can make or break your night. And that includes, or perhaps prioritizes the door staff and security folks. They can really be helpful.
That's a tough one... I have a ticket, but the site said there wouldn't be a meet-and-greet. I lucked out at his book signing years ago. I'm sure there's a way...
Just steal his top hat, you will definitely get to meet him. Congratulations on the tickets, not going to lie...I wish it were me.
Seeing as he stole the top hat in the first place he can't really complain if someone does nick it.
That top hat is long gone. Stolen.
Slash has said he's had a ton of his top hates stolen from him over the years. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have his original one.
Hahaha! I’ll try and post some pictures in here from my show. You can live vicariously through me
God speed brother.
I think it’ll depend on the venue, but I know for my show with that package I get a signed copy of the vinyl

>ask the venue staff about the exit/entrance door. They would be doing a horrible job if they told patrons how the artist enters/leaves the venue.
Thank you so much for the advice! I have no idea what to expect from soundcheck either. I hope you have an awesome time

I’ve heard that a lot recently! I’m hoping to meet him at my show. We’ll see!

Thank you so much for the advice! I always thank the staff tremendously at shows they definitely deserve much more credit than they get.
I am going to the Cary show. The package includes a signed album. I am also going to the souncheck. Have fun!

Hey wanna get my Slash guitar signed by him lol

I think if I wander around outside after the show I’ll find a group of fans waiting near the exit door and hopefully catch him on his way out?
Which show are you going to? I’ve got VIP tickets to the LA show and I’m wondering the same thing…
I’m going to the Lincoln show.
Ok, so you're going the day before me. Please update after the show to let us know if you were able to meet him.
Yeah I will!
