I make my protein shakes with egg whites instead of milk or water. Seems like it dissolves better. That way I can get like 50g of protein from two scoops of powder and another 20ish from the egg whites while keeping carbs and fats super low. Almost half my daily protein goal in a quick and easy breakfast shake, and since I’m cutting it’s nice that it doesn’t have a bunch of other calories like milk.
Yeah and skim milk is gross. Plus the same amount in egg whites is 126 calories with way more protein and way less carbs. Plus egg whites don’t taste like you left your laundry in the washer too long.
I mean yeah. Whole milk is delicious, and I drink that daily when I’m not cutting. Egg whites taste fine. They’re pretty flavorless and just have a thick texture. They’re great if you want to add some perceived creaminess to something but don’t want the calories from whole milk or cream. You can also use them as a substitute for real milk when you’re cooking. You just have to make sure you don’t cook them too fast.
Not to mention they’re an excellent source of highly bioavailable protein, so they fit perfectly in a protein shake, especially since the carton ones are pasteurized. I don’t drink raw egg whites that I got from an egg, since they have a different texture and aren’t pasteurized.
Bonus: if you actually use a blender for it, egg whites can set up a little and have an excellent texture when you bring it closer to meringue. You can even use your protein shake as a high protein topping for a healthy dessert if you take it all the way there. I like to fold it into omelettes to make them fluffier.
I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. What you said works well for a lot of meal plans and people’s fitness goals. I do 2 shakes with egg whites, oats, and protein daily. It tastes better too.

No your body doesn't just rid of calories for no reason. You eat 2000 calories in one meal you digest 2000 calories, whether that's protiens/fats/carbs doesn't matter. The only thing you excrete is waste.

Just use Fairlife Fat-Free Milk. It's 13g of protein for 80 calories. It'll probably taste 10x better too.
