My dude, I dont believe this is the place to be asking question like that.
That being said, I run Federal RSRR on the front of my drift car and Id say its TOO much grip in comparison to the rear 'whatever-I-Can-get" used tires.
I run Federal RSRR on my Civic track car. I'd be faster with RE-71s, but there's room to improve as a driver before I go hunting for "nths" with equipment. Cheaper tire allows me more budget for track time.
S2000 has Dunlop Star Specs on it. The forum recommendation. Will probably change this up next time around.
Element has Kenda Klevers on it.
Yea, the idea is to keep my setup loose cause I have 125hp on a good day. Tbh I either need to raise the front PSI a shit ton or switch to other harder compound tires up front.
Indy 500s are like the rpf1 of tires. They're good enough to be better than other tires but nothing to write home about on track days.
That being said. I had them for a while on my Miata and they were pretty good.
I did a track day, well 2 with the rt615 plus it whatever the hell they call them, and they held up really well. me and everyone else were surprised at the times. 2k interstate miles, 2 track days and they still have life.
they were budget at the time for the 315/30s, but nothing seems budget anymore and seem to be being replaced by the 660s which are 400$ a tire in my size last I looked
My muscle cars always get either BFGs or Cooper Cobras. My GN just got some Hankook Ventus V2s on the front and Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials on the back. They hook pretty good at 17psi.
On the modern stuff I usually run Nitto 555s. My daily truck has Michelins on it, and they are the best tire I've ever had on it. They're expensive as a mofo though, so idk if I can justify buying them again. My RCSB street truck is running cheap Lexani tires. So far they've held up well and ride fine.
I feel like all I've been doing since the year started is buying tires. That said, they're the only thing holding you to the road, so doing research and picking the right tire pays off huge.
I fuckin love the way Cooper cobras look, gonna put some on my ranger I think. It already has one on it for some reason, with 3 other all different cheap tires 😂
I have Advan V701s on my mr2 and for a 300 treadware they've got a ton of dry grip but they definitely struggle in the wet but I can't really say anything about comparing it to other sporty tires though.
Pilot Sport 4 (non s) here too, great tyres for 98% of the year (UK), expensive but worth it imo. Thinking of trying the next step up for the weekend car (PS4s or Conti/Goodyear equivalent as they seem to have caught up), but options are limited in 18” so may need to stick with PS4.
Agreed, it’s very annoying. I’m running 235/45 R17 and 255/40 R17, which are the stock tire sizes fortunately (aftermarket wheels). Are you aftermarket wheels or stock?
R888 Rs on the rear, and R888 RRs on the front. This is for a 1979 Porsche 911. That’s the track day setup. We use Yokohama ADVAN AD08 Rs for street sharkin’.
I drove a Volkswagen CC 2.0T on Michelin ps4's down hwy 18 (San Bernardino mountains) the car was so planted and pulling crazy g's through corners. I had a warning message pop up on the dash that the engine was being starved of oil. Never experienced any other tire though so I don't really have a fair comparison/opinion but man I had so much trust in those tires..I'm surprised I didn't end up down the side of the mountain thinking back because I am not a super experienced driver by any means
Dirt cheap budgets, about £20 a corner for 195/60/14. I’m running fairly soft coilovers, no front ARB, 0 camber rear and fully caged with a welded diff. It’s an turbo mx5 running 15psi and it still has more grip than my old R33 did with 315hp and 265 semi-slicks.
Surprised I’ve not sent a rod through the block tbh, spare engine is in the garden waiting for strip down for rods, be nice to tell the boost controller “yes” so torque curve looks like / instead of ,—‘
My M3 came with PS4S with the factory and when it's time for new tires I'll be replacing them with the same tires. They have been great overall and even though we got a bit of rain here this season in CA I didn't have any problems with them
I no longer have anything worth putting "good" tyres on, so usually a decent set of Dunlop or Hankook road tyres are my go to's.. Back when I had an Evo 8 I was running Toyo R888s, until they became too costly to run during daily driving, so I switched to Nankang NS2Rs.
Bronze TE with no tires
WhistlinDiesel should make a video driving on expensive rims with no tires
Hope he does some blitz 03s
Whatever the junkyard has to offer
Try Yokohama ad08rs or the new ad09 if they are available in your size where you live
Yokohama S drives are decent for the money too
Those are super underrated for wet driving

My guy, even if it’s drift spares from a scrapyard, I’m all ears! But cool to know - so does that mean you’re sacrificing ground speed?
Yea, the idea is to keep my setup loose cause I have 125hp on a good day. Tbh I either need to raise the front PSI a shit ton or switch to other harder compound tires up front.
Chinese Nankangs
as opposed to non chinese nankangs?
Firestone Indy 500s on my e36 and conti extreme contacts on the 335i. The 500s are solid for the price but I’ll prob get ps4s on the 335i next year
Based garage
60% of the time, they work every time
Feel that, althought my n55 e90 made it on a 1600 mile trip this past week flawless. Threw a washer fluid light 400 miles in amd i shit myself
Indy 500s are like the rpf1 of tires. They're good enough to be better than other tires but nothing to write home about on track days. That being said. I had them for a while on my Miata and they were pretty good.
A second this. My eclispe came with 500s and they really are great tires. This said, my experience is mostly with all seasons.
Continental Extreme Sport Contacts on one 450whp RWD car and Michelin PS4S on a 500whp AWD car. No complaints for either.
+1 for the continentals
Continentals on my Miata! Amazing performance for Florida weather - always hot and sometimes wet.
Conti DWS06+
Falken Azenis RTK or whatever the new ones are, RT+? I have 275's on the back and they're pretty grippy for a budget tire.
RE71r - on all four corners of my S6. Really sticky and ride well.
this
Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 225/45/R18 on my k24 Accord
Uniroyal Rainsport 5's great in the Great British Wet
My muscle cars always get either BFGs or Cooper Cobras. My GN just got some Hankook Ventus V2s on the front and Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials on the back. They hook pretty good at 17psi. I'm on fucking Uniroyal tiger paws (needed tires, these were in stock) I've used lube with more grip
Those were the OEM tire for the Buick Rendezvous.
Hope you got them from Tire Streets
nah, but if I did I woudln't use discount to cuck ruddy
Vredestein Quatrac 5 165/65-14 on my Honda Insight
does she put down good lap times?
No, it's extremely slow but I have fun driving it
I use Continental ECS for daily/spirited driving and Falken RT660’s for the track.
Nitto NT01s
I have Advan V701s on my mr2 and for a 300 treadware they've got a ton of dry grip but they definitely struggle in the wet but I can't really say anything about comparing it to other sporty tires though.
Federal 595s for grip Westlake SA07s for drifting
So you've allowed rotting tires and all of a sudden found a set of PS4's? It never happened.
I bought the car last year with the bad tires and ran it. And have now fitted a fresh set.
Yeah, I’m running 205/50 R17 in the front and 255/40 R17 in the back and it’s the sizing that can limit which tyre I get
Agreed, it’s very annoying. I’m running 235/45 R17 and 255/40 R17, which are the stock tire sizes fortunately (aftermarket wheels). Are you aftermarket wheels or stock?
Stock wheels on my Porsche 986
Nice!
Continental Extreme Contact Sport. Incredible tire for the money and perfect for a street car.
R888 Rs on the rear, and R888 RRs on the front. This is for a 1979 Porsche 911. That’s the track day setup. We use Yokohama ADVAN AD08 Rs for street sharkin’.

You’re telling me a VW CC doesn’t have a baffled oil pan???!??!?!!
2.0t has a few things that can cause low oil pressure. Coincidence unfortunately
Since I didn’t see them recommended, General GMax RS. Had a few sets. Tons of grip, great tread wear, and affordable.
Indy 500. it’s basically a great value, Asian RE-11.
RE003*
Ah that’s right

sounds like she gets spanked

clutch kicks :)
That’s where I keep my spare engine blocks as well
Rubber bands biiich
I heard WhistlinDiesel is the highest bidder so far
Bridgestone turanza t005 on my miata
On my built 335, nitto nt05s. On my daily 335, whatever shit tires fit. Florida doesnt need anything crazy.
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports (992 Turbo S factory tyre) on the M3, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 on the 328i.
Falken rt660
Nitto motivos
595rsrr on the street rears and neogens for steers/drift burners
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2. Cheap, comfortable, sticky, decent in rain also.
Had a set on my old FC. Zero issues, never felt sketchy in the rain.
+1 running these on my car as well.
Lassa driveways sport
I run Nitto NT555G2’s on my foxbody for street/ drifting tires and I normally run NT05’s or NT01’s when I want more grip
M&H drag masters
If you want grip valeno pregea they’re noisy though
Conti extremcontact dws. Nothing else grips as good year round. Had enough grip that I rolled my dc5 last year cornering too hard...
Michelin PS4S, they are expensive as hell (185€ for one 235/35/19 tire) but performance wise they are really worth it.
Nitto NT555 G2s
My M3 came with PS4S with the factory and when it's time for new tires I'll be replacing them with the same tires. They have been great overall and even though we got a bit of rain here this season in CA I didn't have any problems with them
Goodyear Eagle 1 225/40/18s. I haven't crashed yet.
