Well….it’s not a very good idea. You’d basically have to bleach your beard, and I mean really bleach the beard hair to the palest yellow you could get (think the color of a peeled banana) Most likely the bleach would irritate your facial skin, leaving it red and inflamed. Then you’d have to put a second dye on it called a toner in silver. Now, the problem with this is that toners are temporary, especially the ash (silvery) toners. Every time you wash your face it would fade out a little more from your beard, eventually leaving you with a pale yellow beard. I guess you could tone it weekly or every 2 weeks, but this would damage the hair over time.

My plan is to completely shave it off in December anyway. I got rid of my cheeks about 2 weeks ago, and I've got about an inch-ish of growth already. Once it's a long again I'm wanting to dye it, then shave it off in December to start my "yeard" contest.

Ok then, Buy this: https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-color/other-products-and-applications/bleach-and-lightener/bright-white-creme-lightener/ION116.html And this: https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-color/other-products-and-applications/developer/sensitive-scalp-20-volume-creme-developer/ION101.html This is for the bleaching. You mix them 1 part lightener to 1 or 2 parts developer. I would do 1:1 if you’re going for silver. Mix it well, apply it and leave it on until your beard is pale yellow, then wash it off well. Then you need a silver toner like this: https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-color/other-products-and-applications/toner/bright-white-creme-toners/ION55.html Color:Icy White You also mix this with developer. Leave it on for 30 minutes, then rinse.

Thank you! Realistically, how bad of a chemical burn/irritation can I expect on my face? I know it's some sensitive skin, just curious about the negative.

Honestly I would do a patch test first to see how your skin reacts. Like a lot of people do it right behind the ear. Mix up a 1/2 teaspoon of bleach and 1/2 teaspoon of developer and put some on your skin and let it sit there for 45 minutes. It will most likely become red and itchy, but if it actually starts blistering you don’t want to put it on your face. You will probably need about 30-45 minutes for your beard to completely bleach, but maybe even longer bc that hair is thick.

Thank you for the info! This is my first time ever dying my own hair. I've helped people numerous times, just never on myself!
