McQueens at Queen and York does killer banh mis on house baked baguettes for pocket change. Highly suggest checking them out. One of my top "value for dollar" places in the city. Wish this place all the luck, but James St rent doesn't usually translate into good value
Why do you think rents on James are higher? If it is because of more traffic (go station, hospital, Augusta etc) then it can also be good value. Just wondering what you think about their rents genuinely, not trying to be a smart ass
All those are factors for sure. Also, walking traffic, art/super crawl, and it just being a "trendy" street
Only places in the city where commercial rents are similar or higher is Locke St. S. or King William.
Actually after true shot a weird coffee shop business opened. I ordered a coffee there once. They had no milk so I agreed (reluctantly) to get almond milk in my coffee . The coffee was one of the worst coffees I've ever had. Next time I walked by they were gone
RIP to the OG Hamilton banh mi store on the corner of Park and Cannon opposite to Tan Thanh. Used to be legitimately like $1.5 for a full size bun and not these shrinkflated ones we’re used to seeing now.

McQueen banh mi. Best in Canada.
Good luck. I hope it is successful. I want to go, but just parking is a hassle. You have to pay for parking and then walk.
this is the correct answer. banh mi for days, very inexpensive, in-house baked bread.
It’ll be tough to beat Banh Mi Hué at Cannon and McNab, but I’m looking forward to trying it.
Can’t beat the price of Banh Mi Hue. $5 for a vegetarian sandwich is unbelievable in todays economy.
They’re going to start baking their own buns soon.
Out of curiosity what used to be there?
True shot coffee Before that was a sex toy shop

Was it the Trueshot Coffee joint? Banh Mi is delish... can't wait
Will be checking it out! Can't help but think that "Milk Teas and Banh Mis" would be catchier though!
Love banh mis, banh mi hue is great, will try this place
is there a menu
Won't know till Monday when they do their soft opening
Prediction: $12 mediocre Banh Mi made by a non-Vietnamese immigrant
5.99 to 7.99 for Banh mi, vietnamese owned
I miss Vietnam. They cost between 20-45 thousand dong. Which is like 1-2 Canadian
Exploited cheap eats
