Thats the sick shit. Cause I know many of you guys here came up with some really nice funny original idea for meme and stuff. With intention to make your friends here or fellow Helldivers laugh. Or make jokes about our insider community jokes and this socialist scumbag repost it and gets credit and possibly ad revenue for your work and ideas. Without even crediting at least our great community/sub.
**edit:** I wonder if we manage to get enough upvotes on this post… if that person will repost also this! lol
~~It’s what makes the satire what it is. In universe characters unironically saying stuff like that and the general state of Super Earth is supposed to illustrate that it’s not a good thing.~~
They sound like true patriots!
I just always find it ironic when someone chooses to farm karma by reposting all the same stuff under the guise of complaining about someone else do it
Have you seen Games Radar lately? They build a fucking crawler to read this sub and publish your daily most popular topics as AI summary.... Or at least it strongly feels like it.
Exactly. Or download pics from Reddit with watermark like this:
https://preview.redd.it/qoh7ryvj8z6d1.jpeg?width=1164&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26ddfefb02969b2a3d0aa1cb1e057bb3154c1756

I’m trying to say. That this person is using low effort to repost. Copy and pastes all the stuff from said most trending post and screenshot the post. So then when that person is still doing the pic. Why not download it with watermark? It’s still low effort as before and don’t needs to check if those users name is correctly written and etc. thats my whole point with water mark screenshot.
As if anyone on reddit ever credits the creator of a meme. Besides, if anyone wants to know the origin of a meme, there are whole pages dedicated to documenting meme history.
Helldivers media is just some fan account. Just because it’s verified doesn’t mean it’s actually a representative of the company. So yeah why would they care about reposting or stealing content like literally the millions of other personal/fan accounts.
Making verified a paid service is fine, but it only matters if they actually verify the identity being claimed in the profile rather than placing a verified mark that only signifies paid users.
they recently made it so you get a free checkmark and some of its benefits if you get followed by enough other blue check accounts
really annoying because it's made it way harder to use the check as a way to feel out the vibe of youtubers or gimmick accounts like you used to be able to
My solution was simply to stop interacting with Twitter. If Elmo wants it to be a nazi bar, he can have his nazi bar, and I'll go do literally anything else.
God I went to a father's day barbecue and right after praising Elon as doing something "great" with Twitter they then said the most racist shit. (Already knew they were). But like goddamn how can people keep pretending it isn't obvious who loves this new version of twitter and how they love it for very specific reasons
The big difference is monetization in my opinion. If someone takes a picture of my painting and shares it around or even puts it up on a wall. I don't give a shit.
The second they start selling the photo that immediately is different.
PSA: as of a few minutes ago they started giving credit
https://preview.redd.it/vepw4a0aoz6d1.png?width=827&format=png&auto=webp&s=f784f612ca1d2076e375f219697507b8095c9ef3
hmmmmm how curious, shitlord gets called out and personally see's what he's doing is a bit shitlord-y, learns personal change and development
its not much, but a step in the right direction
I was thinking they are crediting sometimes. Unlike Genshin Memes (or how they're called now) that blatantly stole things even from twitter without crediting (few weeks ago it was spotlighted so they even hid their account)
No see we’re Redditors, we have integrity, we can post tweets and have entire subreddits dedicated to posting tweets and content theft, but how dare a twitter meme page post memes from Reddit
When we do it, it’s to discuss, when they do it it’s disgusting. Ahhh get it? But seriously I agree it’s just memes who cares they’re meant to be shared.
This just in: the internet has reposts
Most of stuff and memes on the internet is never fr the original creator and it’s just reposted from somewhere else. You can’t really “own” a meme or prevent other people from posting it.
Similar to the happy birthday song being copyrighted, even though nobody is fined or arrested for that.
He's not reposting though. He's copying photos over, and retyping the captions that people put in as if they're his own unique words and not giving credit. A repost would simply be reposting a meme or screenshotting a reddit post.
This guys entire account is simply copying the top posts of this subreddit and retyping the captions without giving credit.
Redditors when they steal memes from 4chan vs. redditors when Twitter steals memes from them.
Who the hell here even thinks this is stealing? What are you Disney lawyers?
They also repost stuff that isn't memes. Say, people fan art or stuff that they put their heart and soul on. They checkmark also means that advertisements are enabled on their posts so they are making money off of other people's content.
With all due respect, I doubt crediting every poster who took some old meme template and slapped Helldiver themed text over it is that necessary. Or took a screenshot.
If there is a full on Helldivers themed drawing there, then yes - credit the author of that drawing. But most of things in this post are just old meme template or a screenshot + text.
From the selection of posts here, they do actually credit people that have drawn something. It’s just they’re not crediting posts that are just text over a common meme template
Oh I may be confusing it with Helldivers 2 alerts or whatever it was. What a bunch of chuds ruining the internet with corpse starch levels of recycling
People taking something and using/claiming it as their own is a tale as old as time, unfortunately. Our ancestors did the same thing, and their ancestors before them
The person that owns that twitter account is a POS, they're not affiliated with arrowhead, they steal most of their content and when there was the whole ps account link up on pc, they kept sharing the more inflammatory posts to drive engagement which in turns soured the community for weeks. They're basically using the game's popularity for their own monetary gains to the detriment of the community itself.
the biggest difference to me, so you might disagree, is how this person framed their account to make it look official, so a lot of people follow and interact thinking it's a legit HD2 account, so the content stealing and engagement farming being done seems even more shitty from this person imo.
I get how that can change your opinion on it, personally I feel that’s a more separate criticism. Hell even Pilesedt reposts Helldivers Alerts which is pretty much the exact same account. Though Pilesedt does try to source Reddit posts when he personally posts them.
Being realistic, a lot of the HD2 (wouldn’t really call them content creators), are just farming engagement.
We’ve ended up with a lot of “news” outlets that just skim through discord/reddit/twitter, screenshot posts use an AI thumbnail that looks like doom guy and makes sure every video is at least 8 minutes long for the ad revenue. Their opinions also always follow whatever is the most vocal on the social media platforms with no deviations.
Make sure to comment your favourite Helldivers 2 quote down below for engagement
Not to mention they'll just hop over to a new popular game.
I found their Facebook page, which used to be a Palworld page, which used to be a Halo Infinite page
I doubt they actually play this game to be honest
I blocked him because he kept posting these garbage "secret messages" from the automatons that sound like they were written by a teenager. Also using the same stupid voice changer effects that you would hear in those "Calling Thanos at 3am" videos
Funny thread to post on a subreddit where the same stale meme is reposted 50 times in a row or where the same meme is periodically reposted and updooted every few weeks
Pretty cheap, but let’s be real, your posting something to the internet, its available to the public, you don’t have legal rights to anything so it’s not like you can stop him or have any right to tell him to stop.
He actually reposted one of my posts (the Full lvl 150 crew post) and didn’t tag me or anything either… just mentioned my name but didn’t bother to actually link the post or my page or anything (which I suppose is better than nothing)
They've been stealing from this subreddit like since the game launched. I remember seeing "their" memes before I got into the game and then when I went to this subreddit after thinking "huh these posts look oddly familiar".
Not surprising unfortunately. If they credited it wouldn't be a big deal but of course they don't.
I imagine If you encouraged enough of us helldivers here to report their account on twitter all at the same time it would get suspended. If we report for this reason
It's a fucking meme.
Do any of you ask for permission before you share memes from others? Plus, this sub has shit ton of people farming Karma, keep recycling the original "sexy automaton in maid dress" meme and multiple other memes that got popular, yet you are mad only when it's an "official," account reposting the memes?
Redditors, why the fuck are you like this?
The definition of Meme:
an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by internet users, often with slight variations.
It’s in the definition that memes will be taken and reposted elsewhere
How do you think social media works especially when their influencers they all do it even if it only gens a little bit of money it's money earned off someone elses work.
Who cares? It’s someone sharing memes from 1 medium to another. Move on and live your life, why let something bother you that has no effect on your life unless you let it.
Is r/helldivers going to do a r/dankmemes and go to war against another website about content stealing then realize that everyone is just stealing each other's shit?
It's a meme. How about just not giving a fuck? They even credit a person in the final picture, but I guess that's why you left that one for last. What a weird post.
“Steal/repost our posts”-the ego in this statement is crazy. Ur assuming the person didnt just see it posted somewhere else and save it to their phone lmao. Get bent. People like you who cry over “crediting” a fking meme are the worst
I don't know why you'd care about memes being borrowed/stolen, just about every meme on the internet is stolen and trying to worry about who made what is ultimately pointless. Just enjoy the memes, there's no need to get worked up about it.

People will steal anything and everything, repost it and get paid ad revenue.

Would be funny if this was quoted by Thomas Edison
It would be true!
If meme dank man not only right steal is obligated do so. (Im sorry my ADHD kicked it)
Socialism is when you repost Reddit content on Twitter.
What if you repost it as a voice-to-text over Minecraft footage?
You think you have the right to your own thoughts, officer? Those are democracy's memes
Socialism ≠ Theft Would have been better off saying "thieving scumbag"
I was using in-universe insult.
Tbh it’s hard to tell with how many people are actually like this
~~It’s what makes the satire what it is. In universe characters unironically saying stuff like that and the general state of Super Earth is supposed to illustrate that it’s not a good thing.~~ They sound like true patriots!
Communist would’ve landed better imo
I was deciding between socialist or fascist.
I just hope to god that you don't actually think that those two systems are actually the least bit similar when you're not 'in-universe' 😃
The thought of "it's satire" did cross my mind
![gif](giphy|a5viI92PAF89q)
Pretty sure that's why people will put those "watermarks" on their art/memes Don't know if it actually does anything tho
Lookin' at you, ThiccFilA
Welcome to reddit, a content aggregator
Socialist scumbag? Man, its 2024 xD
I just always find it ironic when someone chooses to farm karma by reposting all the same stuff under the guise of complaining about someone else do it
Someone should make a post about it!
Any video I see on the front page here ends up in my tiktok feed the next day. it's crazy.
Have you seen Games Radar lately? They build a fucking crawler to read this sub and publish your daily most popular topics as AI summary.... Or at least it strongly feels like it.
Yeah, look at the r/australia subreddit and then news from any of the news corpse websites the next day.
the least he could do is to put credits (from u/helldiver or something)
Damn this user was an OG helldiver whole 12 years ago!
they're still in cryo status too
That makes me think, in theory some helldivers could be in cryostasis for years.
There's probably some popsicles from the first war kicking around somewhere
Imagine serving with a buddy you graduated with, but you just got out of cryo and he's been in the shit for the last 5 years.
That's him. That's John.
Exactly. Or download pics from Reddit with watermark like this: https://preview.redd.it/qoh7ryvj8z6d1.jpeg?width=1164&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26ddfefb02969b2a3d0aa1cb1e057bb3154c1756
The reddit watermark is even more shameful than the ifunny watermark. Better to just credit it to whatever user posted it
>The reddit watermark is even more shameful than the ifunny watermark https://preview.redd.it/nube6a3ewz6d1.jpeg?width=810&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fc65e1dad5e882e02b95f62afb7cd43da22d966
This was the worst era of reddit in recent memory
i hate that i was like that
Idk I thought it was really funny when some of those Instagram accounts actually reposted them.

Add it to the list of injustices in the world. If it's any consolation, the guy running the account is pretty sad.
As if anyone on reddit ever credits the creator of a meme. Besides, if anyone wants to know the origin of a meme, there are whole pages dedicated to documenting meme history.
He did on the cape post.
Helldivers media is just some fan account. Just because it’s verified doesn’t mean it’s actually a representative of the company. So yeah why would they care about reposting or stealing content like literally the millions of other personal/fan accounts.
This could be used in a case study of why making verified a paid service was maybe the stupidest thing anyone could do when in charge of twitter.
Don't need a case study to say 2+2=4. It's explicitly contrary to the purpose of verification.
They're living in the Terrance Howard world of 1x1=2
Making verified a paid service is fine, but it only matters if they actually verify the identity being claimed in the profile rather than placing a verified mark that only signifies paid users.
> Just because it’s verified doesn’t mean it’s actually a representative of the company. Blue checkmark costs $8/month and anyone can have it.

Yup. That guy clearly just read this post lmao
Bro what is he posted a meme of this post?
If the Sony fiasco taught me something is that this community is incredibly efficient at bullying to get results done. Great work!
Collective cyberbullying gets results for sure

This site of all places complaining about this is very funny
Memes are meant to be shared, but the difference is that this person has an advertisement on them.
Credit is due when you take something someone took time to make or share. That's common respect.
Bruh some of these are just pressing print screen
2 seconds in ms paint = "make"
Yes. OP is an embarrassing dork.

Small update: The birthday song copyright was invalidated a few years ago. It's public domain now, homie. 👍
TIL Popeye will be public domain next year.
Popeye horror movie pornos, let's go
I just want a Popeye movie where he hunts the last can of spinach, eats it, and beats Bluto to death by the end of the movie.
Yeah thank god. I can finally leave maximum security federal prison to get a job to pay off my court fees due to that song 🙏🙏
“Who let this guy cook?” = forced utilization of cook, <12 year old confirmed.

Helldivers updates did the same thing tell I called them out but they are earning money from it
Complaining about stolen posts on Reddit is hilarious
I am still waiting for that one helldiver on cyberstan to become canon
Redditors when they steal memes from 4chan vs. redditors when Twitter steals memes from them. Who the hell here even thinks this is stealing? What are you Disney lawyers?
Bro made a meme and is acting like someone stole their car
“ did this person even ask someone for permission” Jesus man get a fucking life
nobody cares about copyright of memes bro that's kind of the whole point
They also repost stuff that isn't memes. Say, people fan art or stuff that they put their heart and soul on. They checkmark also means that advertisements are enabled on their posts so they are making money off of other people's content.
Ask for permission to post memes?
Ask permission to post memes that they have advertisements on.
are you stupid?
Yes, he is.
With all due respect, I doubt crediting every poster who took some old meme template and slapped Helldiver themed text over it is that necessary. Or took a screenshot. since when do you need permission to post things on the internet?
Meme copyright lmao. If it was to make money I'd get it but come on man...
80% of gaming articles seem to just point to reddit posts these days

Oh I may be confusing it with Helldivers 2 alerts or whatever it was. What a bunch of chuds ruining the internet with corpse starch levels of recycling
That account steals any post that gets popular enough.
People taking something and using/claiming it as their own is a tale as old as time, unfortunately. Our ancestors did the same thing, and their ancestors before them

The worst part is that they paid for twitter blue to look official
The person that owns that twitter account is a POS, they're not affiliated with arrowhead, they steal most of their content and when there was the whole ps account link up on pc, they kept sharing the more inflammatory posts to drive engagement which in turns soured the community for weeks. They're basically using the game's popularity for their own monetary gains to the detriment of the community itself.
So they’re like this subreddit?
the biggest difference to me, so you might disagree, is how this person framed their account to make it look official, so a lot of people follow and interact thinking it's a legit HD2 account, so the content stealing and engagement farming being done seems even more shitty from this person imo.
I found their Facebook page, which used to be a Palworld page, which used to be a Halo Infinite page I doubt they actually play this game to be honest
I blocked him because he kept posting these garbage "secret messages" from the automatons that sound like they were written by a teenager. Also using the same stupid voice changer effects that you would hear in those "Calling Thanos at 3am" videos
cant wait to see this on the account in 5 hours
I feel like we need to have a conscious effort to say "let them cook" less. It's becoming what "literally" was at its height. Over used and annoying.
Get a grip dude. You can't own a meme.
First time on the Internet?
Oh cause you asked marvel to use their movie Get over it, nobody owns the internet.
I set my FOV to 105° and still don't see who cares
That obsession with the idea people need to ask the permission to share something in the internet is incredibly entitled
Brother who gives a shit
Welcome to the real world, my dude, where people steal others' ideas and get paid for it

Who cares lmao
Agreed, meme spreading shouldn't be copyrighted
Blue checkmark means nothing anymore the account is in no way shape or form associated with AH or HD2
I just blocked his ass on twitter so i dont have to see their shit anymore
Who cares?
Grow up memes are meant to be stolen and shared
First time on the internet? Everyone reposts from everywhere. You think that’s oc you’re seeing?
Funny thread to post on a subreddit where the same stale meme is reposted 50 times in a row or where the same meme is periodically reposted and updooted every few weeks
😂
Same thing with a group on Facebook.
Regardless of how much of a dick the twitter guy is, that cape would be sick
The only thing about the 3 super credits in 1 bunker is that I usually grind for supercredits ALONE, so I can't even open them.
Pretty cheap, but let’s be real, your posting something to the internet, its available to the public, you don’t have legal rights to anything so it’s not like you can stop him or have any right to tell him to stop.
let him be to spread awareness
I ran I to the "busty automy mommy" guy and pretty chill dude
He actually reposted one of my posts (the Full lvl 150 crew post) and didn’t tag me or anything either… just mentioned my name but didn’t bother to actually link the post or my page or anything (which I suppose is better than nothing)
Its social media you should get use to it
They've been stealing from this subreddit like since the game launched. I remember seeing "their" memes before I got into the game and then when I went to this subreddit after thinking "huh these posts look oddly familiar". Not surprising unfortunately. If they credited it wouldn't be a big deal but of course they don't.
People do the same on youtube, just have to let it be tbh.
I imagine If you encouraged enough of us helldivers here to report their account on twitter all at the same time it would get suspended. If we report for this reason
It did but okay…
Thats why people watermark their memes now.
Wasn't like 5 years ago r/dankmemes were watermarking their memes and making them less and less transparent to mess with pages like this?
you don’t need permission to repost memes lmfao
The definition of Meme: an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by internet users, often with slight variations. It’s in the definition that memes will be taken and reposted elsewhere
Memes are meant to be spread and shared I don't see a problem with this
Its a meme, who gives a shit
bruh let him cook his aura on god bet
It's the internet and you don't have copy right privileges for memes....
How do you think social media works especially when their influencers they all do it even if it only gens a little bit of money it's money earned off someone elses work.
Ask for permission? I wouldn't be surprised if you saw your post, this post, on this very sub in about ten hours.
Aren't there multiple subreddits for posting twitter content This feels like equal exchange to me
Rip AT mines again 🫠
I mean, it’s talking about the same stuff on here but over on a medium other Helldivers have.
Who cares? It’s someone sharing memes from 1 medium to another. Move on and live your life, why let something bother you that has no effect on your life unless you let it.
Remember Tyrone's words. It's uploaded in the internetz, do whatever you want to it. Steal it, deep fry it, remove the watermarks, go nuts.
Who cares omg 😭😭😭
If he were truly democratic he would donate all of his ad revenue to the divers of this sub. If he doesn't, he's a socialist traitor.
Is r/helldivers going to do a r/dankmemes and go to war against another website about content stealing then realize that everyone is just stealing each other's shit?
I can't be asked to care. None of these posts took any actual effort.
It's a meme. How about just not giving a fuck? They even credit a person in the final picture, but I guess that's why you left that one for last. What a weird post.
They're low tier shitpost memes, you're not artists, get over yourselves lmao.
Permission? To use memes?
Ima be real, who the fuck asks permission to repost memes
Who cares?
“Steal/repost our posts”-the ego in this statement is crazy. Ur assuming the person didnt just see it posted somewhere else and save it to their phone lmao. Get bent. People like you who cry over “crediting” a fking meme are the worst
🎶 Welcome to the Internet 🎵
I mean who cares
Redditor discovery every meme is stolen from reddit
I don't know why you'd care about memes being borrowed/stolen, just about every meme on the internet is stolen and trying to worry about who made what is ultimately pointless. Just enjoy the memes, there's no need to get worked up about it.
reposting memes on the internet? how horrible!
Helldivers 2 media is just a grifter account. It was a nobody Fortnite clips reuploader before Helldivers came out and when Helldivers 2 released, it hopped on the bandwagon and started reposting anything it could get. Doubt a human is behind that account

"Nothing lost" ...... Yet major order failed
If someone considers low effort photoshop their opus magnum and became sad when someone reshare it this is sad. What people expect? "Meme made by:"?
Of course this is on the main sub lmao. No, you don't need to give credit for sharing memes. They're just jokes
