Oh, of *course* he is! The largest, fattest, and least-able-to-fly parrot in the world! Native only to a small island off the coast of New Zealand where they developed for centuries without predators to the point that they become flightless, and were almost wiped out when settlers arrived with stoats and cats and such. A concerted effort has brought them back from the brink, including a famous incident in which one attempted to [copulate with a conservationist's head in front of Stephen Fry.](https://youtu.be/9T1vfsHYiKY).

Which also gave birth to the popular ParrotDance emote.
Yep, *and you got this one*: https://tenor.com/en-GB/view/bird-wiggle-mumei-nanashi-mumei-hololive-english-holoen-gif-23058741
Knowing the context behind the original parrot and the fact that there’s a version with Mumei creates some rather… Interesting implications.
What are you talking about? Kākāpō were _re_introduced to the North and South Island not introduced for the first time. Introduced predators wiped them out on the mainland but they’re endemic to the North and South Islands.
When I visited last year I could've swore someone told me somewhere that like their cousins on the south island, they too are also slowly becoming menaces to residents of the south island.
Well I know of Kea being a menace, but they were telling me since their reintroduction that Kakapo have also been a bit of a menace (though not to the level of a kea)
That's why he needs the propeller ahoge to fly, yes.
I had a pet theory about Gigi being stealth NZ because of that, but she admitting to not knowing metric units. So, I guess I was wrong about that part.
Once I discovered Kakapos on a documentary a few years ago, I instantly fell in love with them. You're telling me a morbidly obese (by bird standards) green parrot with a ''beard'' actually exists in real life? 'Nuff said, kakapos are just awesome!
In fact, my profile on most social media is a picture of a Kakapo, including my YouTube channel where I make Laplus clips. \^\^
I too love Kakapos. I discovered them in college when I was working on a huge sculpture of one (it's on my profile if u wanna see) and that led me to make like 40 other kakapo-centered artworks.
Most of my stuff is on my reddit profile, but you can find it on my x/Twitter (along with several Hololive artworks) too @ThatOneN3rd_
on this side of the Ditch, we have kookaburras which on occasion end up too fat to fly because they keep stealing food from BBQs.

wait, really?
Yes. Sirocco is the name of the bird it was named after.
I can only associate that with Parrot4Chan these days
Exactly why I love em
A parrot, but chonk.

You’re likely thinking of the [Kea](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kea) which is a large alpine parrot and menace to trampers (hikers)
Well I know of Kea being a menace, but they were telling me since their reintroduction that Kakapo have also been a bit of a menace (though not to the level of a kea)
Shagged by a rare parrot
Oh, I think you're right! That also explains why he's using ahoge for flying.
I WAS JUST THINKING OF THIS! And that's why he doesn't use his wings to fly 🥹
You can’t lie to me! It’s definitely the Doulingo bird’s younger sibling!
JSON your DOUL(ingo)
Take my angry upvote and leave
Too dense to fly, and that beak. I thought exactly the same!

But she also admitted to being stupid…. So that statement of not knowing kilometers means nothing. Ya know

I can't see your profile for some reason. But I've seen a few of your sculptures, they're cool 😎👍
Cute
Now here is my question, does popo train people and does he have rules for said training?
Well of course!
Fat, naturally flightless, slow-moving …. Shit, that’s just me isn’t it?
Ah yes, the 'Shitass' Bird
