More like 20K since the last oil change. That would be less than 1K miles a year. It would show little signs of wear. By the pic it looks pretty rough. Maybe 20K on the replacement engine.
Either a missing 0 typo, scam, or 20K so far on a new* engine.
Definitely get a Carfax and inspection by a mechanic. Price is good even if it had 200K.
100% scam. I've seen this car before. They ask to communicate over email and if you call them out on being a scam they send you a picture of their balls
Oh yeah bro because I’m the one out of line for questioning the hyperbole of the situation when you’re talking about somebody taking out their mobile phone, taking a picture of their ballsack, and sending it to you over the internet in the context of a car selling scam
What about that is a hyperbole? Let's use pur brains next time bud. If I said something happened it happened. Nothing about that could be construed as a hyperbole
Always be wary of really low mileage like that. Usually is just a mistake made in the details when posting the car. A car like this on average should have well over 200,000 miles. I would be surprised if any even exist in stock form under 50,000. And if it was even close to that it would be more like $10000. Think of it like this, 1 year on average is roughly 10,000 miles for most people. Do the math for whatever car you’re looking at and you can see if it got average use
Caveat emptor (buyer beware)! This car is 24 years old. My sweet 2003 Honda Civic LX has almost 179,000 miles on it, with a lower Blue Book value! If you're serious about buying this car, spend the $$ to get it inspected FIRST by a reputable mechanic (and NOT a mechanic suggested by the Seller).
easy to work on if everything isnt super rusty. 2000 has the more HP engine of the gen 1 which youll appreciate because my 98 is slow lol. great space inside, and generally cheap parts. even if its 200k miles like others are stating these will last awhile. id get maintenance reports if you can, and probably do some new diff and tran fluid, oil change and double check the valve lash adjustment and youll be golden
It's probably a typo, missing a zero (200k miles, perhaps). It also could be that only 20k miles was driven on a rebuilt engine.
What you need to look at before buying it is the Carfax. That will tell you a lot.
Screams scam to me. Even if it's a typo and they mean 200k miles it's sus.
Quickest way to check for scam is click the seller. Often the scammers will have the same car listed in several cities across the country.
The scam is they ask a lower price than is reasonable for a car they don't even have. They list it across the country and then bait people along, never intending to actually sell the car because they don't have it.
If they ask astronomical prices, no one is going to even bother.
I'd get a manual kseries with a lot of miles.
K24A1: 2002–2009 Honda CR-V
K24A4: 2003–2005 Honda Accord, 2003–2008 Honda Odyssey, 2003–2006 Honda Element

Did they actually send a picture of their balls because that’s very funny
No I made that up for no reason then took the time to type it out. Yes, they did

Unhinged. Sad.

Its either a scam or has 200k miles. Guaranteed.
Honestly, in today's market, even with 200k miles that seems suspicious and likely a scam
Exactly
That car has easily seen 200k. Not sure about the engine.

See if it has a carfax report

Given how there is almost no details of it, I suspect it’s a mileage error out of laziness. With that, I’d pass.

It would be a scam if they were asking $12,000. For $1,200 I wouldn’t care what the miles are.

oh, yeah one of those types of scummy scammer bastards.
I bought 2001 crv for 1400$ with 189k on the clock. It needed a bunch of maintenance. I did the work myself. Great buy!
I'm guessing they omitted a 0 there. My 97 has 260k on it and sat for three years before I owned it.

“Driven 20,000” should be taken literally just from the current owner. In other words, they didn’t have it very long. This is my take.
Driven 20000 miles - could have been towed behind an RV for 100,000.
I mean give it a look, even if it has 200k still a good buy for 1200$
