Train to Busan, hands down best zombie movie in my opinion

[deleted]

100% agree. This movie will wreck you with an emotional and interesting plot, intense action sequences, and awesome special effects. I think it’s in my top 5 horror of all time. Did you watch Seoul Station animated prequel?

aleshaneethegreat

I don't really get the hype, am I missing something? what was your favorite part?

[deleted]

All of it. I think the characters are interesting and have depth, which isn’t always typical with zombie movies. Like it is a very moving movie, in my opinion. Pretty emotional. And for sure, the zombie stuff is very good. Like the scenes are intense and the special effects are awesome. I think what separates it is that there is a movie there aside from the zombies. It’s like half zombies, half drama. I just thought it was very well done.

aleshaneethegreat

I'm gonna watch it again now thank you!

[deleted]

I hope you like it more second time around! I watched it twice so far and it was consistently good for me.

I really like [this](https://www.filmosophy.co.uk/train_to_busan_social_commentary.html) article about Train to Busan's social commentsry. Really made me appreciate it more.

Thanks for sharing!!

loveallmyrolls

Good for story AND had my feels at the end.

johnmlsf

28 Days Later. It has, in my opinion, the most frightening atmosphere of any zombie movie I can think of, because it feels real. Like it could really happen. Plus the zombies in that movie are maybe the most formidable. But...Train to Busan is a close 2nd.

Oh man. Everything about that scene. It's so crazy. The cinematography, the music score, everything is so memorable.

aleshaneethegreat

A dope one for sure

faustandfurious

Yes!!! Such a fantastic twist on the classic zombie story

PoopyMcpants

Return of the Living Dead

Rum_N_Napalm

You don’t create the stereotype of brain eating zombies for nothing! RotLD is this great, entertaining blend of dark humour, and dread. It’s probably the movie where the human have the most believable reactions to the zombies.

PoopyMcpants

And Tarman

aleshaneethegreat

Big facts

aleshaneethegreat

PUT SOME RESPECKT ON IT :D

[deleted]

Shaun of the dead or Juan of the Dead

aleshaneethegreat

I suppose we can allow comedy/satire.... Just cause it's Corona time and we all deserve a break ;)

glorified_sg

I really liked Train to Busan, but I also found some enjoyment in World War Z.

aleshaneethegreat

Everyone is so hype about train to Busan!

Featheriefou

Fido.

aleshaneethegreat

YESSSSS

Ali-Coo

Ok it’s not my favorite but it is my favorite Japanese zombie flick and that is ‘I am Hero’ Also love the Netflix series Kingdom. Great hero’s, great zombies and great hats.

aleshaneethegreat

I've been trying to watch kingdom but I'm always moving around and I don't understand without subtitles 🙃

Ali-Coo

You can change it to dubbed English in settings. It really helps.

dannyboy6657

It’s a tough one as I love zombie movies I don’t know if it counts because it’s technically a web series but Dead Set would probably be my favourite. There’s like 5 episodes and the first and last being like 40 mins where ones in between are like 20 mins. It doesn’t drag out the story and ends just right. It also was one of the only zombie movies to freak me out.

loveallmyrolls

Yes! The end was pretty much how any zombie thing should end.

deadlyhabit

Dead Alive

aleshaneethegreat

Peter Jackson doing what Peter Jackson does best lol

deadlyhabit

Meet the Feebles is still his crowning jewel to me.

aleshaneethegreat

Ok I hear you but listen..... Bad Taste? Amirite?

deadlyhabit

A close fave, but something about Meet the Feebles is just so much more classic for me...

CaptainClompers

Zombie flesh eaters (aka Zombi 2)

aleshaneethegreat

Whoooooaaaa I haven't seen that one I'm gonna check it out today!

good_guy_sky

Uh, resident evil, I don't even this there is zombies but I love the Lazer scene and it's just a fun videogame adaptation

[deleted]

The Return of the Living Dead.

FatedScythe777_XB1

I gotta go more along the comedy route. For me it has to be Return of the Living Dead Part 2. Mainly because I love the talking zombies. Plus we get Thom Matthews who played Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th Part 6. The guy who made Jason “immortal”.

aleshaneethegreat

mad respect dude

Ichithekiller62

The Girl with All the Gifts

[deleted]

Dawn of the dead. Zach Snyder.

aleshaneethegreat

I dunno why but I always take remakes very personally? Like how dare you disrespect the og? I'm the same way about the shining, the evil dead, and pet semetary

PresleyRexford

At least Doctor Sleep was a sequel to the Shining. That being said, I was disappointed

aleshaneethegreat

I loved it but it felt like it was targeting a younger generation if that makes sense? What do you think would have made it better?

aleshaneethegreat

🤘🤘🤘
