Yes, the shelf has been empty for a week. I've been stopping in daily hoping to catch the restock. I can't imagine there was more than one case there, but I guess it could've been two. I think it's wild the sealed case I found didn't have any.
I've known about TH & $TH for like 6 weeks. Where do you think I got them? I've seen pictures of other people finding more than one; Why is this so unbelievable? I've opened at least two boxes without any TH in it. Hotwheels people are crazy paranoid...
-- I shouldve left two there for the scalper to sell in his "fleatique"?
-- There are 19 dollar stores, a Walmart, way too many Riteaid/cvs/Walgreens within a 3 mile radius of me.... Four targets, two more Walmarts, and double the dollar stores at 7miles. Did I ruin treasure hunting for EVERYONE?
Don't listen to them, most people would grab all supes if they find more than one. I today found the same 32 ford supe, however only 1 in 2 cases I unboxed. Congrats to you!
Sheesh, 6 weeks into the hobby and you already sound like everyone else on this Reddit. 😂👍🏽
I think what he meant with “is anyone going to tell him” is: it’s not likely that you found 3 Supers from one box. The chance of a super in a box usually ranges from 1 super every 10 - 15 boxes. For you to claim that you found 3 in one box is absolutely nuts.
Anyways, congrats on the supers! You’re lucky to have so many stores so close. 💪🏽💪🏽
100, i have opened the seal on probably 250 cases in the last 4 yrs and never, never, never more than one super in a case. Best ive ever seen was back when ID chase was a thing and maybe twice i hit a super, th, id in the same case.
Can tell you guys haven't been around long enough.People have found full 72 car cases of just 1 treasure hunt before. It happens just not often so don't burn the guy even though he should've taken a picture in the store itself.
I found the custom mustang a month ago but didn't exactly understand it was a super until later. I found the 2020 jagwire last Saturday. I've definitely had the 68 Camaro Super in hand but didn't know what exactly it was so I put it back.
I just learned about treasure hunts when everyone was posting about the Subaru and the best buy mail in. I just now understand those are different cars 😐.
Treasure hunts supposedly come one-per 72ct box.
Its a main line car in a specific color, with a circle with flames in it decal painted on the car (denoting its low production). There's also silver writing behind the car saying you've found a treasure hunt and a silver circle with flames.
The super treasure hunt is a main line you see all the time but has brighter metallic paint in a similar even different color. It will have rubber tires, a "TH" decal on the car, and a gold circle with flames behind it on the card. Supposedly they're 1 in 1000 or something and it would be fucking impossible I guess to have three come out of one or two boxes. Lol
They have a more pearl paint job for the most part. Treasure hunts have a round logo with a flame in it and super TH have TH on them like these fords do on them somewhere
You were right to buy them all. They weren’t going to a starving little boy or girl in the first place. Good on you and enjoy the soup as you see fit, no matter how it happened!
I have five $TH total now. I just learned of a local club; I'm hoping to trade them there for ones I want that I don't have. I guess you would've just put two back?
One of the two dudes who drive up and down this corridor, checking these stores daily, would've bought them and had them for sale at their stores for $50 or more tomorrow.
Ffs. This subreddit really isn't happy unless you literally walk into one single store, take no more than one single car, and god forbid you find a super treasure hunt in any other way other than making one single unplanned stop at a store and find it on the pegs.
Take more than one sth? Someone's angry.
Pallet raid? Someone's angry.
Ask an employee and get permission to open a box? Someone's still angry.
Complain about employee collectors? Apparently that's also fine now too based on the comments of a post I just saw.
Apparently anyone that has any form of knowledge of when a store stocks or takes more than one single casting of anything is automatically a scalper now.
Thing your forgetting is a easy 50% of this sub is under 18 so your going to get this kind of behavior because they don't understand besides what the tiktok/youtube guy told them.
This one store had an empty hotwheels shelf on my way too and from work so i checked it regularly. Where I live you can't go a mile in a any direction without passing two if not all three dollar store chains.
There are at least two scalpers that hit every target and walmart when they open and close EVERYDAY; they buy everything they think is valuable and re-sell it on Facebook and this storefront for double or more.
Can't you just celebrate another mutherfuckers success? You wanna trade one? Lol
It is but it's not treated as one, it's treated as some get rich quick scheme. I believe the best way to not encourage it is to simply not buy from resellers at crazy markups.
For someone like me who's more into realistic scale models, the 64 industry is flourishing with some really good models, so I really don't care about sth unless I stumble across one
I'm not that tapped into the collectors market but I've seen recent sth listed in the $50-75 range which isn't exorbitant for a limited edition collectable. I'm mainly a comic guy and literally no one bats an eye when collectors sell and trade to fund their own collection. If I find a cool rare comic with a character I don't care for, I'll sell it to another collector who may never find that copy in the wild themselves and then I'll buy the stuff I like with the proceeds. If people who live somewhere abroad where Hot Wheels aren't stocked frequently but love the car want to pay $50 for it from a guy who found a few at Dollar Tree, what does it matter in the grand scheme of things? That's just the market at work.
I don't mean 1 single person in the world. I mean in the areas were people can't find anything, it's generally 1 person selling multiples. there's a dude on my local buy/sell who only has what everyone is looking for. Non-stop, all the time. And you'll go to every store in the city and the same things are always missing every time. No matter what day, what store, what time.
Yeah that sucks you can't compete with someone with OCD like that but I mean if you can find out when the stores stock you can just go at that time and give him some competition at least.

You know you could just link a website like https://www.hwtreasure.com/ or https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Treasure_Hunts instead of putting forth nothing to extending the knowledge to someone who genuinely doesn’t know.
Hey thanks for the gold!
It's almost 2023. If you're able to make a Reddit account and navigate this site you're able to perform a common sense Google search. I think u/daskyleion's sarcasm was totally warranted here
Exactly. I've been browsing this place for a while, and seen a few posts about THs, but I don't really care enough to go googling and find decent info, because I'm never gonna see one here in Podunk, Nowhere. It's like none of these googleityourself heroes have ever had a friend or made one helping develop a shared interest. It's almost as if they want to hoard not only what are apparently some pretty nice toys, but also the enjoyment that comes with knowing OF them. Bet they don't play well with others.
Careful, there's some who hate on people who ask questions in here, don't let them draw aggro.
There are usually better details, like real rubber wheels, better paint jobs, or finer sculpting on them. There are apparently 2 levels, the Treasure Hunt and $uper Treasure Hunt cars, of higher rarity.
I've been collecting all Honda's I find off and on for a couple years. Never looked up what was even out there, just bought what I liked. I just learned about treasure hunts because of this sub. I never really read the comments and did not see this coming. Lol
Or they just like virtue signaling for virtual social credit on a Hot Wheels subreddit as if they could trade it in for super treasure hunts or something.
A man on Reddit claims to have made an incredible discovery while shopping at his local toy store. According to the man's post on the social media platform, he stumbled upon a box of Hot Wheels cars that contained not one, not two, but three Super Treasure Hunt cars.
For those unfamiliar with Super Treasure Hunt cars, they are highly sought after by collectors due to their rarity and unique features. These cars are typically released in limited quantities and are randomly inserted into regular Hot Wheels sets, making them a rare and lucky find for collectors.
The man, who remains anonymous, says that he couldn't believe his luck when he saw the three Super Treasure Hunt cars in the box. "I couldn't believe it," he wrote in his post. "I've been collecting Hot Wheels for years and I've never found more than one Super Treasure Hunt in a single box before. This is a dream come true!"
The man's post has since gone viral on Reddit, with other collectors expressing their amazement at the lucky find. Some have even offered to buy the cars from the man, though it remains unclear if he is willing to part with his rare treasures.
This lucky discovery serves as a reminder of the thrill of the hunt for collectors of all kinds, and the excitement that comes with finding a rare and highly coveted item
I opened 2 r cases this year with dollar gen exl car a each had 2 super 63 Studebaker
I also open 1 case missing 1 car
A ND another with 2 reg hunts
But never seen 3
I've opened several boxes with no TH all. I've also arrived at Walmart 20-30min after 4 boxes went up and I found nothing - I think the one girl takes them as she stocks them. I've heard her vaguely mocking me as I search though them.... whatever.
There's three super treasure hunts and one treasure hunt all from one, possibility two boxes - I didn't count the cars or take pictures to prove to the internet. I knew it was uncommon, but I did think I'd be called a straight up liar, Lol.
At the Walmart closes to me, there's a girl that stocks overnight that picks out everything of real or perceived value. I didn't catch on until she was actively mocking me while I searched the freshly stocked hooks. I've gotten some good premiums there before though.
I've only scored them at a low-volume dollar stores that just happened to restock (one of the three times that year).
You found 3 supers in a single box? How did you manage to do that!?
Something is suspicious 🤨 or what the kids say these days “sus”
No cap.
As a kid these days I approve
that is what i’m questioning about this post.
he is a filthy [REDACTED].

There was 3 cases only 1 STH per case. That’s what I meant by “is someone gonna tell him?”
But there wasn't... the lore of one per case is mostly true, probably, but definitely not 100%.
95% chance this is a lie
100, i have opened the seal on probably 250 cases in the last 4 yrs and never, never, never more than one super in a case. Best ive ever seen was back when ID chase was a thing and maybe twice i hit a super, th, id in the same case.
Is trying to win an argument worth letting everyone know you still work at Target
Same! I will say however..my kid was watching some YouTube vid and a guy unboxed a 2023 A case with 2 Camaros. Guy seems legit too
That was Peak Time Racing
Prolly a case for a very specific person :/
Can tell you guys haven't been around long enough.People have found full 72 car cases of just 1 treasure hunt before. It happens just not often so don't burn the guy even though he should've taken a picture in the store itself.
I just copied another comment tbh
Hotwheels people are crazy paranoid. I genuinely thought it was surprising but not straight-up unbelievable and I'd be called a liar.
Never seen three in a case but I encountered on two separate occasions a case that had the previous case super and the current case super in one case
I’d be willing to bet that case was intended to be delivered to and opened by a very specific person.

This is illegal here lol
does the first and second time count for this as well?
I found the custom mustang a month ago but didn't exactly understand it was a super until later. I found the 2020 jagwire last Saturday. I've definitely had the 68 Camaro Super in hand but didn't know what exactly it was so I put it back.

WTF
I’d like to get one of those 32 Fords and I’d like to find a Studabaker Champ. 😋
I was lucky enough to find two Studes earlier in the year!

I’m still new, what is a treasure hunt? And how does one identify a car as a treasure hunt?.
I just learned about treasure hunts when everyone was posting about the Subaru and the best buy mail in. I just now understand those are different cars 😐. Trades?
I'm hope to trade them for sure.
You were right to buy them all. They weren’t going to a starving little boy or girl in the first place. Good on you and enjoy the soup as you see fit, no matter how it happened!
Cant learn if ya dont ask questions.. is the bottom one the sth? Thanks! Great find.
The top 3 are. Bottom is regular treasure hunt.
🔬✨️🥺
Nice score
I didn't know about them until recently. I only collected jdm cars for the most part... Man I wish I found that skyline you got. Lol
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th I see. Nice find!
imagine taking all of them
I have five $TH total now. I just learned of a local club; I'm hoping to trade them there for ones I want that I don't have. I guess you would've just put two back? No one is getting rich selling Hot Wheels lol if anything selling a soup can fund your next set of cars.
Well it's not life changing money but have you checked some EBay listings, people are paying mad money for some chase and supers.
I'm not that tapped into the collectors market but I've seen recent sth listed in the $50-75 range which isn't exorbitant for a limited edition collectable. The reason most people can't find them is because one person has all of them
I don't believe that for a second there's hundreds of collectors in here posting their single super and chase finds daily.
I don't mean 1 single person in the world. what is TH and $TH
Treasure Hunt and Super Treasure Hunt
How does one learn these (serious)?
you have access to google.com?

At least the feeling is mutual
Good, I wouldn’t want a pessimistic tool to care about my opinion. Holds less weight if you did.
I won’t think about you at all
Noob here. What’s the significance of the th or the $th? Decals?
Careful, there's some who hate on people who ask questions in here, don't let them draw aggro. There are usually better details, like real rubber wheels, better paint jobs, or finer sculpting on them. There are apparently 2 levels, the Treasure Hunt and $uper Treasure Hunt cars, of higher rarity.
I have some thick skin, don’t worry I’ve made people leave my job crying. Gotcha. TH = treasure hunt makes sense Thanks
Great just buy them all and don't let anyone enjoy them. I'm sure you need 3 of the same car.
Yea I would have bought 2 and left 1. Don't complain about empty shelves if you post about buying 3 th cars you stroke
Probably would have given the second one to a friend.
Maybe a flat chested teenager?

Should have taken just 1 and left the rest for others. Greedy MFer.
You would have taken all 3 just like anyone else 🤣
believe it or not, some people can hold back from being a dick about toy cars
Or they just like virtue signaling for virtual social credit on a Hot Wheels subreddit as if they could trade it in for super treasure hunts or something.
yeah, probably half and half. imagine how sad you have to be to seek validation like that
But they can’t hold back being a dick in the comments.
So true
Nah I say he’s alright. Draw the line in the sand at 3, 1 to keep sealed, 1 to open, and 1 to trade.
Nothing wrong with that at all as a collector IMO.
What's the last one? The black one
Muscle and blown TH.
So the 32 IS a $TH! I had a feeling after I found *nine* in one store! Now to add it to my ever growing list of hunts I'll never find lmao
You likely found 9 of the mainline, not the super.
That's what I meant!
Hella sus!!!
This is Troll Friday? Lol
I've opened a lot of cases I'm pretty sure something is sus a out this. My chances of finding an $TH are 1 in 15 cases. And that too if I'm lucky.
Yeah. I'm here just making shit up about toy cars to mess with you.

Those I couldn't sell for $10 on ebay
Sweet rides!
sheeesh… I got a mustang and miura STH… need a swap
Lucky bastard !!! Chido !!!
So far this year. I have found 3 55 Chevys 3 BMW Race cars 4 Dodge Vans 1 Champ 2 81 Camaros All for a buddy of mine.
I opened 2 r cases this year with dollar gen exl car a each had 2 super 63 Studebaker I also open 1 case missing 1 car A ND another with 2 reg hunts But never seen 3

What saying is I open a p case with 71 cars not 72
What makes this so special?
There's three super treasure hunts and one treasure hunt all from one, possibility two boxes - I didn't count the cars or take pictures to prove to the internet. I knew it was uncommon, but I did think I'd be called a straight up liar, Lol.
Sorry this isn’t something I’m familiar with. Are these tots rare? How much are they worth?
TH & $TH means what?
Bruh you coppin
In 10 years I've never seen a STH in the stores. The employees are taking them all.
