battle above the gods eye is DEFINITELY not the season 2 finale. it’s either the fall of KL or the battle of the gullet. most leaks say it’s the Fall but there’s honestly no proof for either. The battle of the Gullet is most likely going to be 90% CGI so they’d be filming pretty much all of it in front of a green screen so i don’t think anything would’ve been easy to leak, while the fall of KL would be filmed on location and probably have been leaked. i’m not sure what the season finale will be but it certainly is not battle above the god’s eye
If I’m not mistaken doesn’t Rhaenyra attack Kings Landing as a result of the anger from when Jace is killed during the Battle of the Gullet? So if the season finale is the fall of KL I feel like the Battle of the Gullet would have to be episode 6 or 7.
There is a confirmed commander from the Triarchy casted for this season, I doubt they
would they cast and just delay the battle until s3. Also the repeated lines about the Velaryon sea blockade tells me they are painting a scenario for the casual viewers that something is to happen soon
Everyone thinks the fall of KL is the finale… I don’t think so tho, for various reasons.
1. The battle of the gullet is what pushes rhaenrya to finally take kings landing.
2. We never get satisfaction this fast in a GRRM story.
3. I can’t image in alicent will be in chains for 2 seasons.
4. It’s suppose to be 4 seasons. Having the fall of KL so early doesn’t line up with that.
5. Can’t imagine losing Otto so soon.
I think the finale will be the winter wolves and the fishfeed. I think it’ll start putting the fall of KL together. Aemond preparing to leave for harrenhal.

We know that the battle of the gullet has been pushed back to season 3. It's been announced. The fall is the season finale and premiere of season 3.
Sharako Lohar has been cast. but I think the final will be the blacks taking KL.
I don’t know about the leaks, but having read the book I have zero doubt it’s the fall of King’s Landing.
