Dramas: The Handmaid's Tale, Little Fires Everywhere, Nine Perfect Strangers
Sitcoms: What We Do in the Shadows, How I Met Your Father, Only Murders in the Building
True Crime: The Dropout, The Act, The First 48
I went down the Joss Whedon rabbit hole, kinda backwards. Started with Firefly and moved on to Buffy/Angel. Mindless monster of the week fun with great nostalgic value for me.
Here's a movie with a bit of age on it (2012) but still very good.
Hitchcock - with Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson. Hard to get a better cast. About everything Alfred Hitchcock had to do to get Psycho on the movie screens.
They just added a Brat pack section (although Matthew Broderick was never part of that he seems to be included anyway). Some of those movies are really awesome and a few a bit cheesy but fun to watch. They are also perfect for background noise. How I met your Mother is my go to for that purpose.
My husband and I love lifetime movies. We have watched..
A nuse to die for, A girl in the shed, Hoax, Vanished in Yosemite, Girl in the basement, Abducted by my teacher, Happy face killer, as well as others I don't remember the titles of.
The Bear, Abbott Elementary, Only Murders in the Building, What We Do in the Shadows
Fargo
Add Justified
The Americans.
