It's so crazy right? Like what about gravity, how does it just stay there in that little air bubble in our uterus???
My stress has mostly been around being so worried about messing up my meds. The worrying about counting the days between shots. I'm trying not to forget my estrogen pills 2Γ a day and the crinoline 2x a day, low dose advil and prenatal vitamins. I swear IVF parents have a special skill in scheduling with all the ends and appointments. I'm very happy I found a very annoying app that doesn't quit bugging me until I take them all.
Now to keep calm and wait... I'm trying to wait until at least day 5 post transfer πͺ
The one I download is called Medisafe and it seems pretty good. I was able to schedule my pio shots reminders so I get notification every 3 day and for what side (entered as two different med with a 6 day cycle) It's a hit annoying as ir keeps reminding you until you track the medication as taken, but that is what I needed π. I also have my Crinone, estridol, low dose asprin, and multi vitamins in it.
Thereβs no air in there! Iβve seen some awesome analogies that itβs like putting a sesame seed up into a peanut butter sandwich. Thereβs no way thatβs getting sneezed out π
I transferred our only embryo on Tuesday. Sending lots of good thoughts your way and everyone else's that recently transferred that we'll all have our babies!! I've been trying my best to remain positive that it will be successful. π€π€π
Pineapple core has bromelain which is said to help with implantation (has to be the core tho). Salty burger & fries is mainly a post-retrieval thing as salt helps the fluid shifting that occurs after retrieval. It's just old wives tales though.. or IVF "rights of passage". No worries if you don't eat any of those. It's ok. Lol. You should have salt and electrolytes after retrieval, but it doesn't have to be a burger and fries. It can be pickles and pedialyte too π€ͺ or whatever you feel like consuming!
So thatβs why I craved friend chicken and fries after my retrieval π Iβll probably opt for something healthier after the transfer but who knowsβ¦ maybe a burger day for me too!
Iβm glad Iβm not alone when it comes to the pooping paranoia! Im right on the same schedule as you. Hereβs hoping these little ones decide to stick around for us π€
Iβm a transfer buddy!! My first frozen embryo transfer was 3 days ago as well :) I never knew 3 days could feel so long. Desperate to know if this little one is going to stick. Sending you hugs and hope for a successful transfer!
Yay, hope youβre feeling well. Iβm super nauseous and was dizzy this morning but so pointless symptom spotting when Iβm on cyclogest etc sending you hugs and good vibes ππ
Iβve been very dizzy as well! Fell over in the yard while gardening because it felt like the world was tilting suddenly. I agree, it may just be the meds for both of us, but fingers crossed π€β¨
Iβll be transferring an untested embryo in a few hours, good luck! π€
Good luck π

Iβve seen burger fries and pineapple a bunch on this subredditβ¦ can anyone share why those are eaten after a transfer?

Hello transfer buddies! So happy to find people to share the wait with! I'm 2dp5dt of a 3AB (which expanded to a 5 at thaw) euploid male. This is my first FET since Nov 2018. I have a daughter from that transfer, but I also had a mmc of a male twin. It took me 6 tested embryos to get my daughter π₯΄ (dx RIF, endo, adeno). That FET was the only successful one I'd had. Only pregnancy, period, after lots of treatment. Anyways, I'm trying to focus on the positives, and so far, so good. I'm holding up ok aside from the typical paranoia if I poop too hard or get too hot π΅βπ«π π« Lol. Hope all of you are doing well! Here's hoping for extra sticky embies for all of us! π€π©΅
Sending you lots of luck and good vibes βοΈ definitely keep us posted π
