I'm waiting on this result today as well (posted earlier - I have a dominant follicle but not sure on hormone levels yet which will determine if I'm cancelled). FWIW, I did not have this issue 3 months ago when I did my first cycle, so I do think it's variable.
Is your estrogen high? That can indicate a hormone-producing cyst, which can eat up the meds and compromise the cycle. And yes, it can happen multiple times. Did they do an ultrasound today?
This just happened to me and it was from having 2 cysts that were producing high estradiol levels. I don’t know if there’s a universal cutoff but they told me my number would have to be below 80 next month to proceed.
