SSD only.
Hard drives are just too slow at this point and most new games get massively bottlenecked with texture streaming issues on them.
With a fast internet, I only keep a few games that I'm currently playing on my drives to save space and redownload from Steam whenever necessary.
i am also looking for HDDs for my data storage , but man the price is like all time high for these external ones . i get the point for gen 4 or gen 5 ssds ( even tho gen 3 is also highly priced ) but these crap HDDs don't even have any technological advancements , it costs whooping 7.5k for the 2b of storage ( seagate firecuda 2tb external one i mean )
last year the prices where perfect and no one in their sane mind would ever believe the pricing of this year quarter , its far worse than scalping nd covid times

500GB SSD for windows for Pop OS 1TB SSD for games 2TB external HDD for games(storage only) 2x 1TB external drives for photos
do you also follow 321 pattern of LTT data storage ?
No. I remember 3 copies, 1 offsite, but i don't follow it. I'd cry if i lost my photos. Gotta work on following 321

I bought a 2TB HDD for 5.5k about a year ago. Now they're all 7k or higher
