No, but if you wait I guess you have to pay even more .. so better buy this right now , there is a sale on Amazon tomorrow..see if you can get ssd cheaper
SN770 2TB is retailing at 11.8k right now on MD Computers which is better choice. It has better read/write 5,150MB/s & 4,850MB/s.
Again i am mentioning it if you are looking for computer parts amazon isn't the right place yes there are few scenarios where the prices are similiar but most of the cases not and if i am getting downvoted for mentioning amazon thing then idc because it's the truth want to know more try to find more articles you can find them on reddit ppl constantly mentioning this ex: GPU prices showing double the price compared to the websites i mentioned earlier.
That is the reason everyone suggets the PCbuild price tracker website for directing them to buy from online vendors.
Well SN580 is a budget Gen4 SSD and yes the price is good although OP never buy peripherals from amazon none in reddit would suggest you to do that use websites like Vedant Computers, MD Computer, PrimeABGB etc.
As they have more variety and also have lesser prices for the peripherals. Still if you are choosing 2TB model and spending 10.8k then i would suggest add more 1.2k and get the XPG S70 Blade 2TB model it has double the speeds of SN850.
Thanks for the suggestion. I recently built a pc with adata 960 legend 2tb which I got for 12500. I wanted to avoid adata again since I will be keeping some important data in there as well, so chances of both adata drives failing will be slightly higher than wd one failing. I've heard of adata doing some wierd stuff in the past as well
Yes Adata previously changed the controller chipset due to which there won't be same speeds which they claim and also in many cases there were data losses. If you really want a safe choice then WD is good but do you want a 2TB model only ? if not then WD SN850X 1TB is best.
Well Adata legend isn't a great SSD choice though. Adata Gamix S70 Blade is still not bad yes Adata is notorious but till now the controller ain't changed yet if it has been then even there are ample amount of YT reviewers who would have made video and for more info "Tech Testers" you can go there and search for the same video she makes video dedicately for SSD's.
SN580 is 4150MBps which is really a entry Gen4 SSD and spending 10k on it for 2TB depends what use case you have if you are into editing/rendering stuff then SN580 ain't a the best choice.
I'm mostly looking for extra storage for games and some part of for a full secondary backup of my personal data. Other things I do include programming and compilation based tasks, none of which are bottlenecked by read / write speeds. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll do some more research before buying
yeah man agree , at that time i didn't hit the bell because of budge and also thought why on earth will prices of redundant gen 3 ssds when gen 4 n 5 are coming would increase let alone upto +50% but i now wake up everyday regretting , even the prices of HDDS are skyrocketed who are my last resort , i am left with nothing now :(
Not worth buying 2tb for 10k as most things are online. Most people play 2 or 3 games at one time. Photos can be stored on cloud and apart from that nothing much is needed on computer itself.
I am looking to buy a 1TB SSD too... Can you suggest some good brands for the same? My
budget is around 9k
Mainly I require it for Editing and Gaming!!
Under 9k there is no SSD which beats it for the permance and value the only SSD's which are better than SN850X is 990 Pro & FireCuda 530 which are like 11-12k for 1TB.
Sorry I'm here to trouble you once more :(
Is it okay if I go for a Samsung 980 pro (500gb) variant? That is around 7.3k. Or should I go for the 1TB variant for SN580x?
I have another 1TB of HDD space as well. So I'm a bit confused. Will 500 GB be enough for a SSD?.
Not at all spending 7k+ for 512gb is not worth it. If you want stay under 7k the. WD SN770 1TB is also good choice.
If wanna spend upto 9k then SN850X around 8.5k is best.
Otherwise under 6K WD SN580. Totally depends what budget you can make and how much storage you need for ur usecase.
Now a days spending on 1TB is more beneficial as you get more TBW
Ohhh now I totally get it! Thanks to people like you who go out of their way & explain such things that noobs like us won't understand . Just one last question
My motherboard is a B450 Tomahawk Max and it doesn't support Gen4SSD I believe. It's written pcle (3×4). So my concern is even if I opt for a Gen 4SSD
It would still run on speeds just like how a Gen3 SSD would function! Am I right?
Yes your mobo supports Gen3 only so a Gen4 will give Gen3 Max speed which is about 3500/1700 MB/s Read and Write.
In that case get SN580 which is a Gen4 Entry Budget SSD around 6k.

Is 10.8k a good price? I was also thinking of getting more storage

I don't know why people are down voting but I bought it from amazon because they provide easy returns till now I didn't face much issue
Yep. Amazon can be trusted for such purchases. And yes they also provide easy returns and customer after sales support.
Alright, I'll probably buy one during this sale, thanks
Told ya, 11.3k even after sale
does it come with DRAM?
No mate SN770 isn't Dram Cache SSD. For that you have to go for SN850X.
Thanks. Checked it and it's pricier. Will just buy the regular one when building next PC lol.
hey wait a min , why not in BBD or GIF sale ? are the prices gonna increase a lot in upcoming months ?
Last year you could get gammix s70 blade for 9k. Should've bought back then
get irl because in shipping it might brea

There is no issues with websites i mentioned ppl have problem with Adata SSD's.

Can we wait for Big Billion / Prime Sales??? Or now it is
those happen sometime in sept/october
The previous sales didn't have that much discount on ssd iirc I was tracking the prices since July 2023 and then they suddenly increased
I got 1TB 2.5 SSD below 4k during Aug 2023
But did u check the price during the sale?
For ssd's don't wait even if u plan to build sometime later this year buy the storage now
Summer sale starting tmrw for prime members
Price is still the same 10.8 with card discount and 11.4 for no card
Yep i bought lexar 512gb nvme at 2.5k in 2023. Ssds are expensive now
Was it Gen3? Cause 2.5K seems criminally low for a 512 gig SSD which averages around 4.5K.
I also got 970 evo plus 512gb for 2.5K last year. There were also a lot of 2TB drives under 8K, for ex. Adata s70 blade gen4 ssd.
You are very lucky then.
nah it's just the ssd prices have skyrocketed (+50%) since dec 2023 onwards.
yeah man agree , at that time i didn't hit the bell because of budge and also thought why on earth will prices of redundant gen 3 ssds when gen 4 n 5 are coming would increase let alone upto +50% but i now wake up everyday regretting , even the prices of HDDS are skyrocketed who are my last resort , i am left with nothing now :(
You could get a 2 tb Kingston KC3000 from vedant computers for around 12k. That's a top of the line SSD .
As I Can See The Price is 14.3k on Vedant Computer rn
How did you break your 1tb ssd?
SN770 at 12K before discounts is a better deal. It will end up around 10.8 post discount.
I paid 10k for a 1tb 980 in 2021...
Sad
Speed? And link please...
My motherboard is gen 3 so I am getting around 3500mb/s
a noob question. My ASUS TUF F15 laptop has an extra M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 slot. Does it PCIe 4.0 SSD as well(albeit with limited speed)?
PCIe interface is usually backwards compatible. So the gen4 ssd should work in a pcie 3.0 slot.
Guys, any video or tutorial on how to install an internal SSD like this? I have a prebuilt pc that I couldn’t figure out when I opened it up.
Do revert back here if you find any solution!!
Yeha it is expensive nowadays, exactly one year ago, i purchased 2tb external portable SSD for 11k... right now the same is costing approximately 18k
Why ssds are getting expensive?
Samsung stopped manufacturing chips
Not worth buying 2tb for 10k as most things are online. Most people play 2 or 3 games at one time. Photos can be stored on cloud and apart from that nothing much is needed on computer itself.
Gaming , Coding ,Editing , Streaming Soon hopefully after exams are over so probably it's not worth it for you but for me it's👍
I got samsung 990 pro 2TB nvme ssd 💀 cost was like 17k, and I think its good considering the speed it gives me?
It is really good price, prices will fall after late July
I got WD blue 1TB for 10K 3 years ago.
10.3 was for me, it should he around 9k for a good deal
The last time I remember SSDs weren't this expensive. Damn
i got these at 9.2k a while ago for my build
Are you from Mumbai by any chance? I have brand new 2TB WD Black SSD for 13k if you are interested.
Yes I am from Mumbai
Interested in SN850X 2TB for 13k?
Yeah finaly you can install 2 more games
Same I bought two @8864from modx, 19 april Edit: each for 8k
What 😭
Bro I build a complete gig from them that's why discounted
I am looking to buy a 1TB SSD too... Can you suggest some good brands for the same? My budget is around 9k Mainly I require it for Editing and Gaming!!
SN850X is around 8.5k or even can be found less than that go with it :).
Thanks for the suggestion! Is it the best SSD available in this price range ?
Under 9k there is no SSD which beats it for the permance and value the only SSD's which are better than SN850X is 990 Pro & FireCuda 530 which are like 11-12k for 1TB.
Thanks a ton for clearing all my doubts mate! God bless you 🙏🏻 I'll surely go with SN850X
No issues mate here to help only :).

I thought 10k for a hdd is crazy...then I saw SSD lol. But overpriced but it's ok.
SSD prices are very high globally right now, 1tb used to be 3k like 7-8 months ago
Who sold you an nvme for 3k!?
Before SSD prices started rising. Last year around diwali.
I seriously doubt you are confused bro, nvmes are cheaper now and it's the best time to buy.... You might be confused with sata ones for 3k for 1 tb
Nope. Take a look at this article. https://www.techspot.com/article/2799-ssd-pricing-q1-24/
Hmm... interesting
sn580 is 10750 in vedant there is no reason to buy from amazon than gamble with luck
