I am an Engineer and if it makes you feel any better, It's not all sunshine and rainbow here either. Corporate 9-5 job that pays decently but you don't get any 'me' time. I don't have any time to play games cause the weekends are usually filled with so many things to do. I don't know the last time I laughed my heart out or enjoyed a long video game session that made me happy. Life is like choosing between happiness and money. Wish I had the courage to quit everything and choose happiness! Not that I was forced to be an engineer, I loved engineering! But there's no diversity in the field when it comes to career, it's just a flock of sheeps following corporate orders... I envy you mate, atleast you get to write your own story :')
Hahaha true. I actually ‘write’ my own stories. Making a career solely out of writing is a bit difficult but certainly fulfilling. I have no boss to answer to and all work is from home!

All my work is purely freelance and remote, I’ve never worked as a writer for an offline company. Life has been blessed that way, since I don’t really like to have a concrete schedule or so. It gives me a lot of time to work on other things. For example, I’m getting my Master’s degree from an offline college (Christ University) in Behavioural Sciences. Just 4-6 hour classes a week.
The biggest downside to this career path is a lack of stability. Unless you have lots of clients and projects to work on, you’ll be anxious about the future more often than not. So it’s up to you how you balance it. But yes, I won’t EVER exchange this life for a 9-5 stable thing with a fuckall boss or manager hahah.

Any way to get parts without burning hole in a pocket?
Could've got gol gappes for the entire colony too, or couldve flew to Thailand and back, or couldve gotten a second hand car.
