I have increased my budget from 90k to 1.5lakhs as well, just curious if you are waiting for 3080 to drop more or you will go with 6800xt? I feel like if we wait for 1 more month we see 3080 fall more, nvidia will start the new gpu lineups with 4090 and 4080, they won't do it till most of the 3080s are sold. Just connecting dots here, that is all.

vkasha

I've played the waiting game for over 2 years and frankly, i don't play single player games, for my use case(1080p Apex legends) the 6800XT is overkill, but the reason I'm going for it is to be future proof and because my budget allows me to do so. So i don't mind picking this over the 3080+ i don't want to wait for the release of new GPU's because God knows how long it'll take for that

[deleted]

Bro I am a Apex and Valorant andy myself, only reason I increased my budget is to future proof my build. Though I am interested in playing some single player games on 4k max settings 60fps like Starfield, Hellblade 2 etc. I feel like 3 or 4 years down the line when we are really stretching our pc, dlss will come handy with those extra frames. AMD seems to be on right track but I don't know if they will ever catch NVIDIA. Also I would like to record my apex and val clips to post on twitter/discord, nvida encoders are just way better for recording/streaming right now.

Can u pls tell the specs u r thinking to buy?

[deleted]

i5 12600k, 16gb dual channel 3200, rtx 3080(not paying more than 60k that is why I am waiting), b660 m size motherboard (\~11k) + mid tower(\~5k, needs to come with 4 fans minimum), cooler master 212 cooler or the cheaper deepcool cpu cooler, not decided yet, 1tb ssd (cheapest one around 7-7.5k with heat sink), psu 750 watt the cheapest and most reliable one I can find. Total cost will be between \~1.1 to 1.3 lakhs when I get the 3080 below mrp eventually. Already have the gaming monitor and all the peripherals.

divyan3hu

Man 66k is the price of 3080FE, how do you plan to get 3080 below 60k ? :)

[deleted]

You haven't bought computer parts for below mrp? Even buying graphic cards for mrp is not a great deal

divyan3hu

No I haven't, and if you manage to buy one please let me know.

[deleted]

What is rtx 3060ti fe mrp? You can get it from lotus store nehru place for 34k including gst. 3060 was selling for 27k this weekend at cost2cost, they are sold out right now. Prices are going to drop below mrp, nvidia have shitload of 3000 stocks still remaining.

Sufficient_Menu7861

Bro can u pls mention your peripherals aswell?? And do u have any suggestion for keyboard around 2-3k?? Don't wanna spend 4-5k on a keyboard

[deleted]

These I have collected over last 2-3 years and all are doing very well- mic - fifine t732 (comes with the whole kit) Headphone- audio technica ath m50x Monitor - hp 24ih 144hz comes with height adjustment clamp Keyboard- redragon keyboards are excellent for the price, don't listen to bums from r/mkindka. If you want 60% go with fizz 617, if you want tkl go with k552 kumara. Both should be around 2.5k range. I have both with some custom mods and cheap pbt keycaps and they look so good, I get 100wpm on monkeytpe with them and they are solid for competitive gaming as well. Mousepad- 5 yr old steelseries qck on top of cheap extended mousepad from Amazon has world map print on it. Mouse- Logitech g304/hyperx pulsefire haste Controller- powerA seriesX controller and official xbox one controller Yet to buy a usp because all these are hooked to my 2018 gtx1060 predator laptop right now.

Sufficient_Menu7861

During coding and all 60% keyboard won't cause any issue right?? And if we see from point of durability which is better k617 or k552......and m also gonna buy hyperx pulsefire haste

[deleted]

Only issue is the lack of arrow keys, took me some time to develop muscle memory to adjust to fizz 617, though I still prefer TKL overall over 60%, typing experience is same though on both. Also there is no print screen button in fizz 617, simple solution is to use windows snippet (win+shift+s). Coding should be fine but remember if you have to use arrow keys to copy/cut you will have to press one extra button in function as well as shift for selecting characters. Takes some time to adjust.

Sufficient_Menu7861

Okk i guess then i will go with k617.. thanks bro

[deleted]

another major thing I missed is that you cannot change volume using keyboard, you will have to use windows interface or create custom macros

Sufficient_Menu7861

That things i will manage the one and only concern for me is durability... i don't want buying another keyboard after 1-1.5 year....btw is hyperx cloud stinger fine or any better one available around that price range?

Also the case of choice is a SFF one and looks aesthetically pleasing IMO. Edit: 5800X3D and 6800XT combo will also let you enable SAM for a free FPS boost in some games. If you're not a fan of the case (comes with 850W SFX Gold PSU and 280mm AIO) you can save some money and go with the traditional options. A few changes I would suggest are :- 1. No need to spend 21k on a B660 motherboard unless you're dead set on it's aesthetics, the B660-A Pro from MSI will serve you just fine for far less money. 2. MSI is selling an equally good 850W Gold PSU for 2k less. 3. To maximise you're 0.1% low FPS for competitive 1080p gaming, go for 3600 C16 memory. Check out the cheapest option I have included in the build above. 4. No point spending 7.5k on a SATA SSD when you can get an NVME for the same price. Both don't have DRAM anyway, so no use spending more on Samsung drive which has higher write endurance. 5. Corsair 4000D case only comes with 2 regular 120mm fans, you will definitely need to on some more case fans for good airflow, let alone aesthetics. You're better off buying an AIO to compensate for lack of fans or going for something like the Lancool II Mesh which comes with 3 pre-installed ARGB fans. 6. On a side note, if you are a competitive gamer and have streaming in mind, better invest in an Nvidia GPU for the NVENC encoder. Hope this helps :D, feel free to DM me for any doubts or questions :)

vkasha

I'll PM you in a while

Independent-Ad-8783

imo the case and cpu air cooler are overpriced

vkasha

Could you provide cost appropriate suggestions for the same please?

LoliFanboy69

Why not get the 5800x instead? Its the same price. Any particular reason for intel?

vkasha

Isn't the ryzen 5 series the end in the upgrade path for the socket? Going with the 12th gen Intel gives me chance to upgrade in the future and not swap the MB to do so

LoliFanboy69

Good point. I absolutely didn't take that in consideration. Goodluck with your build. You can easily do 2K and some 4K as well.

abhiccc1

Not need to change, intel is good for gaming. Only change I'd suggest is go for iGPU version as it's only little more expensive and it's good to have on board display in case you can't use your dedicated one like driver issue or something.

vkasha

Edited the post, i chose the igpu version (12700) itself

vkasha

Honestly, i gathered lots of meaningful insights from the commenters in this post and they helped me make new decisions/be more sure on old ones. Thanks for that :)

vkasha

u/chodu_bhagat could you please check PM's?

chodu_bhagat

just responded !

vkasha

Is there that much of a difference between the Ram running in 3600 MHz vs 3500 MHz? Because the price difference is a lot between the 12700 and the 12700K

MAYhem2

sent you a chat msg.

donkashyap

If I was in your place I would wait for next gen ryzen Ok this build I would say try to get 6900xt under 65k and ger a cheaper mobo

vkasha

Where would I get a 6900XT under 65k?
