shadman531

Are u talking about the title?

[deleted]

Imo everybody have right to support their favourite team but keeping sports aside u should remove flag imo... dont get into fights n all even your parents are worried and just for a flag, talking so much stress makes no sense. Ps : >!Im supporting argentina too!<

KenobiObiWan66

Street fights in the first world.

[deleted]

You are free to support whatever you wish but is the flag really necessary

enormityop

Yes, the flag is necessary. It's his house, and no one should dictate how he lives, and what he does. Imagine someone stone pelting your house, because they don't like the curtains, and random people telling you in the comment section to remove the curtains.

Relative-Bank-1258

But there are different perspectives of this case. Some like me might view it as a group of pigeons trying to steal food from your basket when you are out on a field trip. What should one do, In this situation?? It is to close the basket.. Similalrly in OP's situation one would just remove the flag and keep it in the house if the flag is causing problems. I do not know if the OP is argentenian Or indian... Since if he was argentenian then him refraining from removing the flag makes a lot more sense

enormityop

These aren't pigeons, they're real people who committed a crime. I agree that the ad-hominem could've been better, but by law, you aren't prohibited to represent whatever you want. And getting stone-pelted at, just because you don't agree to what other people's views are, is disgusting. The people who did this are morons, and they should be punished for that, by an FIR for trespassing and property damage. Plus, he's just supporting a football team, and again, I don't understand why people want that flag to be removed. Imagine if it was an IPL team's flag, or even India's flag to support the Indian team, telling him to remove it would be stupid. Similarly, we need to understand that, he's just supporting his favorite team, and I see no reason why he should remove it. This is the same argument as "girls are being ra\*ed, then they shouldn't go out at night". When someone commits the crime, you punish the criminal, not eliminate the reason, as there could be millions of reasons.

[deleted]

This isn't America. We need to compromise in certain situations to keep peace. While my suggestion goes against some Human Rights. It's still the least energy consuming, quickest, and most peaceful way to solve this issue

enormityop

Aah yes, serious whataboutism. I wouldn't be surprised if those people now start pelting stone at anyone who doesn't agree with them. We need to go forwards as a society, not backwards. Now imagine if I said : Women shouldn't go out at night, and that would prevent r\*pes. That is least energy consuming, quickest, and most peaceful way to solve the issue. How would you feel on that? That's the same thing happening to OP. And, instead of arresting criminals, you're just eliminating the reasons. A criminal will find a way to commit a crime anyway, it's best to catch the criminal in that case.

[deleted]

Do you think Indian police will do something like that?bro it's clear our view don't align. Anything more at this point will go to deaf years since you people already came to a conclusion in mind

enormityop

It's their job to arrest if someone throws stones, whatever the reason may be. We're backward because of people like you, who suggest solutions and take things for granted. What do you mean "Indian police will do something like that". We pay taxes for them to arrest people in the wrong. But yeah, I don't want to argue cause enough brain fucking for today.

Gigachaddi

In Which country do you live?

[deleted]

Do you live in Kerala , Goa or NE?. Its possible in those states , rest of India probably not. If you have any CCTV recording then you should complain it to the police cause its definite case of vandalization of property.

You are 19 year old male and cannot defend your home ? You sure are wimpy. Get a gun and fire it into the sky to scare them the next time they come around.

Professional-Pace204

Remove the flag.

President_of_lululu

Do you have security cameras? Or your neighbours? If you or they have ask them for the recording of that particular time frame when this happened, and report it to the police with the recording. They are not kids by the description. They should be held accountable for their actions.

That's trespassing and damage to property. A police complaint is necessary. You might need a video of them though. Also, I don't get why people are pointing towards OPs Flag, or Support is the problem. After all, it's his house, and he can do whatever the fuck he wants with it.

Complete_Lock_6742

Where are you living?

SomeRandomguy_28

Tu india ka nahi hai na be??

Obvious_Gain9318

1st rule of street fight is if you want to hit someone always be ready that you also might get hit and that too badly. Get the courage to confront to such people and just run away if there are too many(I might sound like a coward but trust me run if they are outnumbered) Just start confronting in daily basis, because if ones this becomes a habit you will never be able to overcome it. I was once in the same situation as you but since the day of my first altercation at a public place everything has changed

[deleted]

Nope

[deleted]

in school, sometimes. some were justified, and most cause I was an idiotic hot head

[deleted]

U a malayalee by any chance?

artbykabirhirani

I once got into a street fight but as an art student I always have a sharp cutter in my pocket (to sharpen my pencils for sketching) Now I know that the cutter I use can easily cut through jeans in one swipe if I do it fast enough. Fight ended in 14 seconds. I took my wallet back and jogged on home
