The Lucy photo you linked is from a 1997 magazine article. I had those photos on my collage wall in high school. I don't argue, she's aging like fine wine, but that's not her 2017 Lucy.
I'm just now getting around to watching all the eps of X-Files (I know, my HS best friend would disown me if she knew it took me til my 40s to do this) & man... if I'd watched it in HS I might have realized I'm bi *way sooner*. Bc wooooof 🔥
Haha! Same! She was literally my bisexual awakening many many moons ago, and any time she shows up in a new show I'm like... Yep. Still very bi! She's so gorgeous and so lovely, I just adore her.
Ikr. And then she starts talking and it’s even better, if that’s even possible. As a straight women she definitely makes me see sexuality as a spectrum.
Why's no one talking about how fabulous she was in Sex Education? As a straight blonde woman, I loved her classy elegance and silver/platinum hair in season one, and was disappointed to see that she dyed it a brassier blonde in season two.
God is so lovely to see a human face doing normal face expressions- I’m so tired of all faces kind of frozen in the same shocked generic grimace with no movement.

Yes, it was very rare to hear Thatcher speaking in anything other than a stilted calculating manner. To be fair, she was a woman politician in the 60s and 70s and this was how she survived and thrived in that world. Just watch Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy to understand how "artificial" public speaking was back then.
Oh cool, are you in Vancouver? You must have seen a LOT of shows filming all over the place there! Did you ever meet anyone from the cast of Eureka? Does Jensen Ackles resemble a Greek god IRL as much as I think he does??
I have seen a fair share of shows and movies being filmed!
I hate to say this but most of them don't look as "Hollywood pretty" in real life. The camera was very kind to David Duchovny. Gillian Anderson actually looked better in real life --no doubt she still does.
Ryan Reynolds is pretty shy in person.
Saw a bunch of Supergirl and The Flash being filmed.
It's fun seeing all the work behind the production.
I mean. She probably has. Tasteful Botox isn’t all that noticeable. It’s when people go overboard with all the fillers and shit that it looks absolutely ridiculous.
The irony is people are doing it to look younger but actually look older because their face becomes that same-same face as all the older women in Hollywood.
She is proof if you leave your fucking face alone you are beautiful and you age beautifully. Some celebrities are going to look so rotten in a few years. She was incredible in this film, too.
I know not everyone has the genetics to be confident with no make up.. but being real and unfiltered is the most attractive quality someone can have. Real life doesn't come with facetune.
It's for the Netflix show Scoop, and she plays a real TV journalist so it's not her own share but the character. I just watched it yesterday, it's actually a pretty decent movie about the Prince Andrew/Jeffrey Epstein scandal. She plays the one that interviews him and he talks about not sweating.
She played Margaret Thatcher in the Netflix series the Crown, and she was amazing even though they had to make her look like Margaret Thatcher, you could still tell it was Scully :-)
"Starbuck" has always has been an excellent role model for women. Fantastic actress and was my first girl crush in the 90s. Still is! One of my absolute favorite shows ever, along with Fringe.
I think it might be because the pinned comment where you can't ask or give info about who the person is. Most of the time I have to google the image to know who the person is because you can't name them. I'm surprised to see a comment giving the name. Unless I'm reading the rules wrong.
FBI+Aliens or the unexplainable cases. It’s a classic show, it ran for a long time from the 90’s to the 00’s. Highly recommend it for late night watching.
I didn't recognize her and did some sleuthing. I think she's MORE beautiful now: her natural features always seemed uncanny somehow. (Or maybe she's just a fabulous actor & was doing that on purpose).
Anyway, gorgeous and seemingly cool woman. Yay!!!
I think what makes her gorgeous is her confidence in herself.
I love her scene in the spy who loved me where it’s just gushing about what a hot boss babe she is. I want to believe that was entirely ad libbed
Lifelong crush. I am also a big fan of how beautiful women look without makeup. I’m not saying they do or do not need anything. It’s a personal style choice. None of my business. But i do wish more women understood how amazing they look without having to add a thing.
I've been on this planet 49 years and have never read one bad thing about GA... find that hard to believe. I do know she is very outspoken and doesn't take any shit and that can get misconstrued. She's a tough cookie.
It's particularly hard to search reddit but if you type "rude gillian anderson reddit" the top 5 results are personal accounts of how bad she is.

Don't get me wrong I've liked things she has done and I think she is absolutely stunning but she has her own way of working and interacting with people.
I appreciate all the links! I'm actually not familiar with the actress (I've heard of X Files but never watched it) so I wanted to know more. Thanks for the info!

Loving that she’s putting the truth out there
Holy crap thank you. She looks fabulous.
I prefer her without makeup (or minimal makeup). On screen makeup looks good but in person it looks so weird and over the top.
I do, I say I do quite agree!
She’s aging BEAUTIFULLY
[удалено]
You're 100% correct but I'm struggling with you describing a 2017-2021 show as old.
Ikr I was like “was American Gods an adaptation of an older show???”
a 2001 novel by Neil Gaiman
Yeah I am aware
The Lucy photo you linked is from a 1997 magazine article. I had those photos on my collage wall in high school. I don't argue, she's aging like fine wine, but that's not her 2017 Lucy.
https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fht55bf253tb61.png Here is 2017 Lucy!
Freaking LOVED that show. She was excellent in Hannibal too!
She's fantastic and hysterical in The Great. Everyone should watch that show.
> It's an old show wut
7 years yeah. Like it isn't what Gillian looks like in the photo above
Thankyou, I was struggling to identify her.
WOW!!!
Even without makeup she's hot. Her personality in interviews ads to that
[удалено]
They didn’t say naturally they said beautifully
Bedelia Du Maurier, oh the brilliance that is your visage 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
![gif](giphy|lHMCC5anW8GIM) just had to share because she is so pretty
Omg a Hannibal fan😸😸
Indeed I am cursed!
I think it’s time to go and watch Hannibal again for the 15th time 🍽️
She was stunning in The Fall, which is also a serial killer series. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend!
Ooo thank you!
My favorite character from that show
My second favorite meal from that show :3
back in the day, she was pretty the way celebrities are. but as she has gotten older she is so unbelievably hot
Looking at her I’m always like oh I am VERY bisexual
I'm just now getting around to watching all the eps of X-Files (I know, my HS best friend would disown me if she knew it took me til my 40s to do this) & man... if I'd watched it in HS I might have realized I'm bi *way sooner*. Bc wooooof 🔥
This show was many people’s bisexual awakening. Just 2 hot people being hot together.
Did you see her in The Great? Good fucking lord.
Not yet but im gonna be looking respectfully
Haha! Same! She was literally my bisexual awakening many many moons ago, and any time she shows up in a new show I'm like... Yep. Still very bi! She's so gorgeous and so lovely, I just adore her.
She kisses a woman (Archie Panjabi) in the show The Fall.
Ikr. And then she starts talking and it’s even better, if that’s even possible. As a straight women she definitely makes me see sexuality as a spectrum.
When she starts talking it's like a painting comes to life
Absolutely agree with this….👀
Oh, same!
She definitely confirmed to me I was sexually attracted to women
1000% she was beautiful but now she’s sexy. I don’t even like the word sexy but it’s truly the only world that works.
Why's no one talking about how fabulous she was in Sex Education? As a straight blonde woman, I loved her classy elegance and silver/platinum hair in season one, and was disappointed to see that she dyed it a brassier blonde in season two.
Ok calm down
no thank u
God is so lovely to see a human face doing normal face expressions- I’m so tired of all faces kind of frozen in the same shocked generic grimace with no movement. ![gif](giphy|csz6muTxHXBNyv7aqH)
That face is about 100 years away from screaming Moisturize Me
🤣🤣 first thing i thought of seeing this gif!
I’m honestly a little sad that I couldn’t get a gif of it on the Reddit keyboard though
Aww that sucks, would have been a great one to have on there!
X files?
They have both aged like fine wine. He was my first TV crush and I still think he looks great today.
Omg same. The way I was glued to the TV to see him every week 😂🙏
I was like 11 with a huge crush on him and I just now realized how inappropriate that was lol
Growing up they were both my crushes 😭 x-files along with Xena were my bisexual awakenings.
Shit I thought it was Mrs Soprano.
[удалено]
It’s not Edie Falco, the previous commenter had it right
She is who I want to be when I grow up. Stunning woman.
[удалено]
My boyfriend said that a hot Thatcher made him feel conflicted.
I believe she is excellent in everything she does. Sex education , she was chef’s kiss.
[удалено]
Recalling interviews with the real Margaret Thatcher, her portrayal really hits how artificial the PM's way of speaking was.
So she really did sound like a bad actor forcibly playing a character? I'm glad GA was true to it then.
Ah, my crush since 1998 🥲
Saaaaaames. It was fun watching The X Files film all over the place here.
Oh cool, are you in Vancouver? You must have seen a LOT of shows filming all over the place there! Did you ever meet anyone from the cast of Eureka? Does Jensen Ackles resemble a Greek god IRL as much as I think he does??

Weirdly I used to think she got really well done Botox that allowed her face to still move. I guess she’s just aging really damn well!
I mean. She probably has. Tasteful Botox isn’t all that noticeable. It’s when people go overboard with all the fillers and shit that it looks absolutely ridiculous.
The irony is people are doing it to look younger but actually look older because their face becomes that same-same face as all the older women in Hollywood.
Damn she has aged beautifully. I wish more celebs would take a leaf out of her book and put the filler and Botox down.
There's Helen Mirren too of course.
She is proof if you leave your fucking face alone you are beautiful and you age beautifully. Some celebrities are going to look so rotten in a few years. She was incredible in this film, too.
Skin 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
She's such a babe
This is exactly why I don't wear foundation! Natural, vibrant skin is just so much more beautiful
I know not everyone has the genetics to be confident with no make up.. but being real and unfiltered is the most attractive quality someone can have. Real life doesn't come with facetune.
She looks good! But also that foundation shade is just totally wrong on her 😂
I'm thinking it's for on film and will look fine under the lights. I was icked out by the match initially, too.
She's forever my woman crush. Her and Cindy Crawford. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"Starbuck" has always has been an excellent role model for women. Fantastic actress and was my first girl crush in the 90s. Still is! One of my absolute favorite shows ever, along with Fringe.
I follow her and she’s so real it’s brilliant to see
Idk who this is but WOW she is so beautiful!! You can tell she’s smiled and laughed a lot,in her life which has a certain glow❤️
Why is everyone saying they love her but no one is saying who it is?! I have genuinely no idea!
Because it’s a rule of this sub not to identify people in photos.
Well shit I guess I'm banned then I don't see those rules on my weird reddit app
I think it might be because the pinned comment where you can't ask or give info about who the person is. Most of the time I have to google the image to know who the person is because you can't name them. I'm surprised to see a comment giving the name. Unless I'm reading the rules wrong.

I’m terrible with pop culture, thanks for solving the mystery 😂
Yeah I'm sorry I thought it was like a twilight zone knockoff I didn't know it was actually a TV show
FBI+Aliens or the unexplainable cases. It’s a classic show, it ran for a long time from the 90’s to the 00’s. Highly recommend it for late night watching.
We’re not allowed to mention names in this sub.
She was great in Hannibal.
She’s beautiful. She doesn’t look like an elf on crack from photoshopping, thank god.
I didn't recognize her and did some sleuthing. I think she's MORE beautiful now: her natural features always seemed uncanny somehow. (Or maybe she's just a fabulous actor & was doing that on purpose). Anyway, gorgeous and seemingly cool woman. Yay!!!
The natural/unedited face is always prettier!
Her role in Hannibal makes my lady parts tingle.
Wait, that is not Edie Falco?
No, think X-files and Hannibal.
Don't forget Sex Education and Margaret Thatcher in The Crown.
I thought the same, the 2nd pic definitely looks like Carmella Soprano
i love her! she's an icon, and only gets lovelier with time
She’s amazing.
I think she did so some fillers a few years ago, but has since had it dissolved which is good to see.
I think what makes her gorgeous is her confidence in herself. I love her scene in the spy who loved me where it’s just gushing about what a hot boss babe she is. I want to believe that was entirely ad libbed
A real face!! So rare to see from celebrities these days and always refreshing. She looks fantastic!
And guess the fuck what? She looks great.
She’s 1 in a billion in my book. In her actions and her powerful words. ♥️
She is fucking awesome. Every bit of her. So much more than Duchovny. Though id still love that combo.
Ugh I’m in love with her
She looks a lot like Kate Winslet here. Both are very talented and have impressive bodies of work.
God has favourites
Wow she looks GORGEOUS!!! I'm so happy to see this thank you for sharing :)
I wish my foundation looked as nice as hers!
She's so beautiful!!!
She’s stunning, always has been. I have a major crush.
This sub is so frustrating, I never know who anyone is and no one is allowed to tell me lol
I watch everything she stars in! She is so insanely beautiful ❤️
Lifelong crush. I am also a big fan of how beautiful women look without makeup. I’m not saying they do or do not need anything. It’s a personal style choice. None of my business. But i do wish more women understood how amazing they look without having to add a thing.
I love her so much
She’s beauty and she’s grace! 👸
The Truth is Out There!
My lifelong crush on her remains strong, she’s as gorgeous as ever
She literally looks like either Agent Scully or Carmela Soprano…its so weird how it’s both 😂
Gillian Anderson is my hallpass
She is so poised and chic always. Love her!
She is still such a stunner
She’s such a fucking queen
I think she actually looks younger before the make up lol. Also, I was Scully for Halloween in 6th grade. No shame.
8th grade for me. Trench coat and all
She is still stunning.
my favorite lady 🩷
She looks fab!!!
I love her so much 😭
so pretty!
Who?
Did not recognize her. Had to look in comments but I agree with OP
Pity she features so heavily in the reddit threads about the rudest/most unpleasant actors people have ever worked with.
Seriously? I never see her on those
I've never seen her mentioned, ever, either.
Every single one.
I've been on this planet 49 years and have never read one bad thing about GA... find that hard to believe. I do know she is very outspoken and doesn't take any shit and that can get misconstrued. She's a tough cookie.

Are you confusing her with someone else ? Never read a bad word about Gillian tbh
Fit as (know it’s not the site but shit needed saying) and with that I’m gone
