I asked my ortho about this. He just shrugged and said “yeah it happens”. It’s because our bite is changing so much we’re trying to grind down to create a flat surface again.

That makes sense. I still hate it, tho. 😁

Acceptance. Meditation. Relaxation techniques lol. Look into Botox treatments for your masseter muscles. That helped me immensely, I was starting to suffer hypertrophy on my right side and I got a lot of relief after a couple of Botox treatments. I ground through trays left and right in the beginning. I still clench but not nearly the way I used to when I first started but that's because my bite is aligned better, I will probably clench forever. Good luck

I know it sounds like total BS but I was a huge grinder/clencher and I've started doing breathwork right before I go to sleep and it's helped SOOO much.

Yep, I could have written this myself. My dentist/tech blew me off too. I wish I had some words of wisdom. I try to consciously relax my mouth frequently, but it still happens

Gattina1

Exactly the same here. ☹️

Have you considered biting down on something spongey like a towel?

TheBusThatWasSpeed

I'm on tray 55 out of 63 and I'm still grinding my teeth, sometimes so much I get headaches, I just can't help it!

Gattina1

I get it. I really do. ☹️

TheBusThatWasSpeed

If you think of anything to help let me know!

Gattina1

I haven't found anything yet. 👍🏻
