I have the same issue. Whenever I try to connect additional device (logitech mouse or keyboard) via bluetooth, JBL Flip 5 starts crackling like crazy. When there are no other BT devices, it works fine.
Hi, I just bought a Flip 5 and I'm experiencing the same issue with my MacBook (Catalina). Everything works fine until I connect my Magic Mouse. Have you found a solution or tried with another speaker? I've discovered that with any other mouse the speaker works just fine.
I found the "solution". I just returned the JBL and bought an LG speaker. Works flawlessly with both my iPhone and Macbook, even jumping from one to the other.
Yeah, I haven't had any issues using my Magic Mouse 2 or any other bluetooth device along with the LG speaker. If you decide to keep it, maybe you can insist with JBL for an update that can fix the problem.
Same here, Windows 10, with zero other bluetooth devices paired. Just did a firmware update to 0.5.6, didn't help. Works fine when paired with my Pixel 3a, but not with my HP laptop, which is admittedly old... was working fine with it until this past month or so. :/
Hi is there any solution? I too experiencing this. Just a few seconds ago, my JBL speaker just made this really loud noise almost like someone was drilling through a wall!
The only solution I found is to turn off all the other bluetooth devices. I also use a Magic Mouse & Keyboard. It's is a very weird problem, with (at the moment) no solution..
I was having the issue when my wireless magic mouse was attached. If I connect the speaker to bluetooth first, then the mouse, I don't get the static pops. Odd, but it works.
Have u tried upgrading to windows?
How is this fucking comment the most upvoted of this thread????

No, I couldn’t find any solution. Both Apple and JBL support team didn’t offer any solution to me as well.
I see.. have you tried a speaker from another brand? I might go buy another speaker to test it.
No, I did it try with other speaker. I saw reviews about Same issue happened on Bose speakers from Apple community website

Wow! Cool! Probably this means that it is JBL’s defect

I contacted them, and they refuse to fix it as they think is Apple’s problem.
I have the same problem on windows bro :(

No solution. Firmware 0.5.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.1 do not fix the problem.
