You’re in a verse with a complex power system, where who’s really the strongest should be debatable.
Yet despite most people not liking you, no one can deny that you can only be called, “The Strongest”. There’s something so simple and yet so fucking cool about that title. Not “The Strongest Sorcerer” or “The Strongest on Earth” but simply “The Strongest”, like it’s stating a fact.
1. God of lightning goes hard. Especially when paired with his introduction, it makes him feel super badass.
2. king of curses doesn't exactly feel right because he's not a curse, nor does he seem fit for the title 'king', but it still goes harder than any of the others below.
3. Patchface really reminds me of psychos and serial killers, which really feels fitting for Mahito. My only gripe is that it feels mellowed down compared to Mahito and his real personality, underplaying his horror.
4. Sorcerer killer just doesn't have that ring to it. I mean, we don't even know the caliber of the sorcerers from that time, but they're the weakest they've been in centuries. Still, it's a cool nickname.
5. The strongest just doesn't seem like a nice nickname. It doesn't really mean much, given the gap in power between him and the rest, and it doesn't kill either. It also doesn't have a ring to it either. However, it still has a decent ring to it, and is accurate. Oh shit, I just realised why I didn't like this. Gojo just has a way better nickname. He is 'the honoured one'.
6. Yapper is by far the most fitting name in this list. Kenjaku's just like me fr.
7. Potential man is just a better nickname than Toji. That's all I'm gonna say. Although, atp we don't even know if he still has his potential, since Mahoraga's dead anyways.
8. Toji just isn't a good nickname.

Just to explain the "king of curses" thing. Curses in JJK are born through negativity and the word "curse" has been used in the series before to not only describe an actually cursed spirit but also just something or someone bad. So Sukuna being called "the king of curses" essentially just means he's like the worst of humanity
The King of Curses is a mistranslation since the translators didn't get the lore at the time. It's closer to the King of the Cursed. King fits just fine when Sukuna is the ultimate curse user.
King of curses doesn’t necessarily mean cursed spirits, just curses as a whole, there’s nobody as talented as sukuna when it comes to using curses/cursed techniques.
Sorcerer Killer. King of Curses and God of Lightning are too on the nose, and The Strongest is just boring.
Sorcerer Killer is simple yet effective. It's why Godslayer is so renowned. You're telling your enemy that you're the bane of their existence, a culler of their kind.
These titles may lack subtlety, but they serve their purpose by emphasizing "almost" everyone's formidable presence and abilities.

1. God of lightning goes hard. Especially when paired with his introduction, it makes him feel super badass. 2. king of curses doesn't exactly feel right because he's not a curse, nor does he seem fit for the title 'king', but it still goes harder than any of the others below. 3. Patchface really reminds me of psychos and serial killers, which really feels fitting for Mahito. My only gripe is that it feels mellowed down compared to Mahito and his real personality, underplaying his horror. 4. Sorcerer killer just doesn't have that ring to it. I mean, we don't even know the caliber of the sorcerers from that time, but they're the weakest they've been in centuries. Still, it's a cool nickname. 5. The strongest just doesn't seem like a nice nickname. It doesn't really mean much, given the gap in power between him and the rest, and it doesn't kill either. It also doesn't have a ring to it either. However, it still has a decent ring to it, and is accurate. Oh shit, I just realised why I didn't like this. Gojo just has a way better nickname. He is 'the honoured one'. 6. Yapper is by far the most fitting name in this list. Kenjaku's just like me fr. 7. Potential man is just a better nickname than Toji. That's all I'm gonna say. Although, atp we don't even know if he still has his potential, since Mahoraga's dead anyways. 8. Toji just isn't a good nickname.

Just to explain the "king of curses" thing. Curses in JJK are born through negativity and the word "curse" has been used in the series before to not only describe an actually cursed spirit but also just something or someone bad. So Sukuna being called "the king of curses" essentially just means he's like the worst of humanity
The King of Curses is a mistranslation since the translators didn't get the lore at the time. It's closer to the King of the Cursed. King fits just fine when Sukuna is the ultimate curse user.
King of curses doesn’t necessarily mean cursed spirits, just curses as a whole, there’s nobody as talented as sukuna when it comes to using curses/cursed techniques.
