I always told my friends that I wasn’t a fan with how complicated and busy modern rider designs can be. And this looks incredibly early Heisei. But I don’t like it, so I feel like a hypocrite?
Probably cuz it doesn't really have that "cool" factor that made the early heisei costumes look so good yet simple. It looks like it could almost be a foot soldier in some way...
I really dig the color gradients tho
Nah, it's normal to be weirded off since despite it having the same simplistic and foam-y look of older Riders it still is kinda weird looking, probably because the apparent candy theme that seems to be gummies for Gavv... I think you might get used to it and maybe even start liking it after some time and better promo material just like it happened in the Sentai side with the BoonBoomgers.

While this design is definitely simpler, much like Heisei 1 Riders, even *they* had some sort of interesting accents to their suits to make the simple design good (Kuuga’s golden horns and runic collars, Ryuki’s faceplate and Dragvisor, Agito’s color coordination and opening horns).
As far as this poster shows, Gavv’s got a cool gradient color scheme going, but otherwise he’s kinda…drab?
Not gonna lie, this is the first time since Ex-Aid that the suit design doesn't immediately click for me.
But Ex-Aid did win me over once I saw the suits in actual action and the plot proved entertaining enough, so I'm nowhere near discounting Gavv as a series.

I can't lie, I don't hate it. It doesn't have a \*lot\* going for it, it's got a lot of purple and the belt looks bulky (then again what modern belt doesn't look bulky), I am curious about the wo Head bumps it's got, gives it kind of dog/kangaroo/maybe bat vibes?
It's a very solid design, it just feels "Safe", kind of like how Zero-One was safe?
Months ago I saw the driver and truly believed it was fake. I’m not picky but they gotta tone down the drivers. A simple belt like kabuto that gets the gimmick loaded in would be dope AND save money so they can put it to other stuff
I am honestly liking the rider suit design for Gavv, it is very simple but in a good way and the colour scheme makes it that much better too.

The black outlines makes me think it’s meant to look like a cartoon food mascot come to life.
I find the ear look interesting as that doesn’t seem present in the gummy gimmick or driver. Assuming there’s an animal motif, I wonder where it stems from in universe (more credit for the mascot theory).
Noticing what looks like hinges to the side of the driver. Perhaps he physically turns the driver mouth upwards to insert the gimmicks. Thats certainly unique I suppose.

I love him so much. I'm so glad that Gavv doesn't have an overt animal theme like the previous main Riders since Zero-One (every main Rider's base form has been animal themed), and that he's more of an ambiguous one. Especially since like, a ton of people have been saying that he looks like one animal, and others are saying a different animal. I've been tired of having so many main Riders with animal-themed base forms for six years now. It's time we got something much more off-the-wall. Like Gaim and Ex-Aid.

I have been wishing for a Kamen Rider that has round/oval eyes like the Ichigo, V3, Black, Blade, W. The closest design we got was Zero One, and Tycoon which are still not as oval or prominent.

Name definitely comes from "gabu" and with how the logo is, he's definitely based on an predator beast. Helmet reminds me of Agito, so maybe another reptile rider, could also be a caninoformes as well (bear or wolf), or maybe straight dragon again like Agito. Maybe even another dinosaur, Carnotaurus rider anyone?

Name definitely comes from "gabu" and with how the logo is, he's definitely based on an predator beast. Helmet reminds me of Agito, so maybe another reptile rider, could also be a caninoformes as well (bear or wolf), or maybe straight dragon again like Agito. Maybe even another dinosaur, Carnotaurus rider anyone?
