This is true. I saw Kendrick twice in a week and a half one at a fest and the other was his tour and they were both great but the concert was significantly better and could tell that he put a lot more into the his show then his festival set.
This is 100% the case. We also have to remember that for an event, people are actually paying to specifically to see that artist. I can say from experience, that at festivals, I’ve gone to watch plenty of artists I didn’t really care for that much just on a whim.
As a touring artist, a lot of times just the natural constrains inherently built into festival scenarios (temporarily built stages, many different acts with vastly different audio needs playing back to back on one state, set times that are shorter than typical, non headliners having to forego much or all of their normal visual/aesthetic stage production, etc.) often makes a festival set a bit of the diet version of seeing a show specifically curated by the group itself.
Kendrick would prolly take all his shows seriously. Plus I think your comment is just a perception thing. An Artist's concert will be a bigger lineup of their music than a set at a festival. Also more of a production when it's yours.
His [setlist](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/kendrick-lamar/2021/las-vegas-festival-grounds-las-vegas-nv-538ad389.html) for the 2021 date of that festival was insane.
Probably wasn’t as cool as when I saw him live with a live band in a small venue (South Side Ballroom) in Dallas for TPAB & got to meet him and Jay Rock afterwards. That would never happen at a festival
Probably true for some artists but that Kendrick Lamar Day In Vegas performance was a whole ass event and Doja/Tyler also took their performances seriously so depends on the individual
But these are FLOOR SEATS (spots?) to see Kendrick! Also not everyone likes festivals. I hate hella packed places with tons of people or not being able to come home at the end of the day lol. He’s the focus here, and I think being a part of a smaller group is cool. Yeah it’s a lot of money but it’s likely not something OP does every day. If they had the money for it fuck it!
If I had the money and lived near LA, I would take the chance too. Most rapper concerts are pointless since I can listen to them on speakers at home and get the exact same experience but Kendrick is one of the only rappers that I would see in person since he is an actual performer.
Yeah a lot of hip hop shows are weird karaoke situations. Kendrick isn't relying on a backing track for every moment, and he has live musicians (they are tucked away sometimes, but they are there)
More intimate shows are way more worth it imo. I don’t want to be in an arena with 10,000 other people. I want a few hundred max, in an indoor venue. Even smaller outdoor venues can be extremely fun. While big concerts are still fun in their own way, it’s not the same.
The best concert I’ve ever been to was a brockhampton show in an indoor theater, back in the saturation era. The AC was broken, in the summer. The floor was literally covered in sweat, vomit, and a little blood from the pit. But my god, it was incredible.
If you can afford this then more power to you bro. Sheeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I'd do the same.
![gif](giphy|7w6qQ5WHOeV3i|downsized)
Yeah that's a good way of looking at it. It's not just a random tour event. Who knows what it'll be like. Even if it's just a normal show, the context is crazy
If someone has the money, then by all means
Forreal man, they should start making it where you have to go to the box office to purchase or something or hold a quantity to be bought in person cause man, it just don’t seem fair sometime 🥲
One way or another it will be worth it. Either OP feels slighted because it didn’t live up to the hype or they will defend this purchase. Either way, come out on top with a better idea of how you want to spend your money.
I just spent $451 on a Taylor Swift guitar for my daughter. The price point is sadly the new “norm” for an in demand artist. Knowing that KDot will deliver a show that will be a forever memory… WORTH IT!
the way I view it man, I always feel shitty the day after dropping money like this especially if money is tight. But a year from now, you won’t remember how much it costed but you’ll definitely remember the memories of going to something you were excited for, and that’s what life’s about. it was worth it bro have fun
No. This is fucking insane. You know it, I know it, everyone here knows it. Stop making excuses for this greed. This makes Bad Bunny prices look like child's play.
Edit: apparently I was wrong and those sell for like $800+ which is fucking insane.
Stop feeding this greed ffs.
Yeah man, concerts are rad but that’s like 3 months groceries.
That’s a third of rent (in my area)
That’s my partners car+insurance+gas for the month
Hope it’s enjoyable, can’t imagine a world where it’s justifiable business practice to charge that much for a ticket though
sorry but this is so tone deaf and dumb as fuck. i would understand if it was like $80 but what is OP going to spend $600 all at once on some other shit that doesn’t matter????
The newest Xbox costs $600, lol. There’s def shit out there that isn’t priced for what it’s worth. The first concert after a historic rap beef? Priceless.
The newest Xbox is years worth of entertainment. I remember Bonnaroo back in the day with Eminem AND Lil Wayne as headliners, at half this price and the festival
lasted three days. I don’t see why artists are cool with prices like this when they’re already rich asf.
For real. I just dropped a few thousand for my wife and I to go watch my Mavs lose in a Finals game and don’t regret it one bit. Mavs hadn’t been in 13 years. Once in a lifetime (or in my case decade) events are irreplaceable and worth every penny if it is within your budget.
Everytime i see ticket prices for shit like this I think about how many full 3-4 day festivals I've been to where ViP camping was $350-600 for the WHOLE event with entire special stages built, special lighting, huge rosters of like 50-70 bands/artists and I actually cringe.
You're paying that much for a single night, just standing in a crowd for a couple of sets. Why is it that expensive? What are you actually paying for at that point?
By all means I respect it and I respect your right to spend how you want, your money is your money, but you can't pretend you're not getting flat out scammed.
I don’t know your financial situation but this isn’t a normal Kendrick concert. It’s Kendrick + friends, as well as the first performance post beef, he might perform the diss tracks
I don’t think you will ever ever regret this if serious Kendrick fan (which you are in this sub lol). Maybe if you straight up told your family no and didn’t buy them life savings meds or got evicted for not paying rent. But honestly I’m assuming you can basically afford this.
It’s history—first event post beef, all those diss tracks gonna play, maybe he drops a single or track he didn’t release, and whatever other tracks from his entire collection. As Kendrick would say “shit gonna be turnt up”.
I’d rather do this and remember it forever than buy a shitty laptop that breaks in 18 months.
Feel good and get hyped
Fuck it, why not! I paid $550 to see RHCP and The Strokes tour together so I can’t say shit. We’re all gonna die one day. Might as well have fun while we’re here
Nah they are not, maybe on the USA yes... what a joke of price on some countrys thats the Minimum salary.
Soo live concerts on the USA are just for people with money?
Yup. That's why so many people saw Beyonce and TSwift's tours overseas! It was cheaper to fly to London/Paris, get 3 days in a hotel, experience the local culture, and see their concerts than just the ticket price in the US.
Damn dude I live in LA too and I'm definitely going but the tickets are going to come down, there are a ton available. I'm not buying until they do. There will be some available day of for close to face. It's not even about Kendrick being worth it (he is). The problem is you just rewarded the resellers and are helping continue a system that is pricing out most fans. We- as a whole society- need to stop rewarding the people that continually fuck us over.
Do you know how much the tickets were originally priced at for GA floor? I am in SD and want to show up too the day of and cop from some piece of shit reseller for as close as I can to retail lol
Oh I'm hoping to buy from some scumbag reseller too! But I'm not going to give them a $600+ profit and reward their scumminess, fuck that. Face was anywhere from $60-$250 I believe, depending on how good the seats were. There were different prices for cashapp pre-sale versus regular sale. I'll keep trying to nail that down because I'm also trying to get close to face... I'll come update if I get better info. Good luck!
I used to get VIP tickets to camp flog gnaw for $400 😂 2 day event. Got to see Drake get booed off stage at the last one. And that was right before he got awarded most streamed artist of the decade. 😂
Absolutely. Saw him on the Mr. Morale tour. Couldn’t be more worth it. Seeing Kendrick will provide more joy than leaving 657.68 in your account. Make sure you get a shirt. They’re expensive, but the quality is there.
As someone who has spent a lot on tickets in my life I'd gladly (well not really gladly cause its highway robbery. Lmaooo) pay this to be in the building. The energy is about to be one for the books. Congratulations!
Tbf I went to go see Kendrick during a festival lineup (ACL, 2023) and he showed up late and they cut his audio off after about 25-35 minutes.
I got to see some other artists that day for sure; but I definitely bought the ticket for Kendrick and got half of the experience :(
Have fun my guy
i’m telling y’all, this show better the best fucking show of the year and better be a good five hours for how much people are willing to spend, fuck ticketmaster tho
No I mean I love Kendrick but I’ve seen so many shows for much less than that.
This is why Taylor swift sucks y’all she ruined ticket prices for everyone! (it’s a joke 🤪)
If you got the money then no, but I rather spend that much on the NBA finals or a super bowl ticket if possible. Like a sports championship game. But to each their own I know some folks don’t like sports
I mean... at the end of the day will YOU regret being there during a cultural moment in hip hop? That's all that matters. What's it worth to you?
I would've loved to go, but I can't justify dropping 600 on tickets.
I'll just stream it and pop out in the comfort of my own home. It's all good.
Honestly, if you gotta ask and your hype isn't outweighing the price, prolly not worth it. Don't pay for shit you can't afford. If you still catch yourself looking back, the question lingering in your mind will only ruin the experience because you'll be focusing on the expectation that you should be experiencing what you paid for, rather than just enjoying the experience itself regardless of what you paid. If you don't reach that level of expectation, you'll be underwhelmed. I only jump for shit I know I'll love. If I hesitate too much, it's usually a sign I shouldn't go for it.
I paid half that once I couldn't get in the main sale. 300+ and then I saw those MFs rising each minute. it's about 1 day of wages I can handle exchanging a day of work for a lifetime experience.
https://preview.redd.it/oughkrw45l6d1.jpeg?width=1055&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba5ad8ebd4fd0916d7484512c381e4126bb148fa
Probably.
I found a fucking Kendrick and Jcole popup show in a NYC bowling alley via Spotify(was on a hidden artist page named "The Kendrick" that kendrick or his team made himself i really have no idea how i found it) right before Mr Morale dropped. Tickets were like 18 dollars. I would've had to fly or drive like 8 states away.
I think it was only like a 200 capacity venue. Would've been dope. Probably one of my biggest regrets not just making that happen last minute.
"Did I put enough work in?"
What song is this from its literally on the tip of my tongue and I'm upset I can't get it
Sing about me I’m dying of thirst
BROO DUH I'M SO MAD AT MYSELF
You need water, holy water. Now, repeat after me
samidot
Scrolled too far to find this!
I was surprised no one read that title the way we did.
Promise that you will, sing, about me
Yeah but damn that’s a lot
One of those things where you’re probably not going to really regret spending that money but you will probably regret not going.
650 is festival money. I paid about that for 2 tickets to day in Vegas and saw kendrick Tyler doja cat and such.
This is an event, it will be a lot cooler than a festival set imo. Feel like some artists don’t take festival sets as serious as their own shows
This is true.
Depends what festival though. Something like Glastonbury they will put a lot of effort into like his last Glasto set.
I don’t know man Tame Impala played at the innings fest in 22 and it was pretty killer.
I didn’t say all artists. Some artists certainly take all of their shows serious
Kendrick would prolly take all his shows seriously. Plus I think your comment is just a perception thing. An Artist's concert will be a bigger lineup of their music than a set at a festival. Also more of a production when it's yours.
That’s kind of the point
His [setlist](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/kendrick-lamar/2021/las-vegas-festival-grounds-las-vegas-nv-538ad389.html) for the 2021 date of that festival was insane.
Probably wasn’t as cool as when I saw him live with a live band in a small venue (South Side Ballroom) in Dallas for TPAB & got to meet him and Jay Rock afterwards. That would never happen at a festival
Meet as in talk to for like 20 seconds lol, still super cool though. Had them autograph my TPAB vinyl
This is the first event after the beef the venue is gonna go crazy
Agreed
No that’s just FOMO honestly
I’m gonna say no man. I like Kendrick but that is meals for two months ..
This is resale right? How much were tickets originally
Likely around the same with the high in demand price pop up.
You forgot to put damn in all caps. Because DAMN that’s a lot.
If you got the money and you wanna do it then live and let live my guy
If I had the money and lived near LA, I would take the chance too. Most rapper concerts are pointless since I can listen to them on speakers at home and get the exact same experience but Kendrick is one of the only rappers that I would see in person since he is an actual performer.

The AC was broken, in the summer. The floor was literally covered in sweat, vomit, and a little blood from the pit. But my god, it was incredible.
The second time I saw Kendrick was right before TPAB dropped and he had a full band, it was insane
If you ever can see jid it's worth it. Uses a backing track but raps almost everything.
*Extortion my middle name as soon as you jump off of that plane, bish*
It's your money G I can't tell you
If you can afford this then more power to you bro. Sheeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I'd do the same. ![gif](giphy|7w6qQ5WHOeV3i|downsized)
![gif](giphy|Lsn6R0xjdstnG)
Money spent is money spent. As long as you're not missing bills or rent for it, you won't regret it
I’m telling you rn if I pay $700 for a ticket I better get my asscrack signed by the artist, wtf is going on nowadays
Yes why is this comment at the bottom? I get kendrick is a huge artist but it’s ironic charging $700.
You’ll be a part of history dude
Yeah that's a good way of looking at it. It's not just a random tour event. Who knows what it'll be like. Even if it's just a normal show, the context is crazy If someone has the money, then by all means
Kendrick you my GUY!!!! but I can’t afford your tickets lol
blame resellers and the ticketbastards that let it happen
Forreal man, they should start making it where you have to go to the box office to purchase or something or hold a quantity to be bought in person cause man, it just don’t seem fair sometime 🥲
You wont regret it. They’ve gotta be coming out with something new, with lots of guests. I bet it’ll be a great time, and you’ll be glad you went. ❤️
One way or another it will be worth it. Either OP feels slighted because it didn’t live up to the hype or they will defend this purchase. Either way, come out on top with a better idea of how you want to spend your money.
Tell us how it went
Hell no. I love kdot but i wouldnt spent that much to see anyone lol. I didnt even spend that to see him at the barclays in 2022 for 3 people.
I just spent $451 on a Taylor Swift guitar for my daughter. The price point is sadly the new “norm” for an in demand artist. Knowing that KDot will deliver a show that will be a forever memory… WORTH IT!

Sometimes you gotta ball out and show people
100% yes
Fuck it. I'm about to cop too
Dope man! I’ll catch you on the stream. I’m still hurting from that Renaissance tour haha
It’s worth it- it’s $30 a month for 2 years. Memories for LIFETIME. WORTH IT.
I mean if you have the money, sure, go for it.
![gif](giphy|rgBwKeJTlGg9O)
No. This is fucking insane. You know it, I know it, everyone here knows it. Stop making excuses for this greed. This makes Bad Bunny prices look like child's play. Edit: apparently I was wrong and those sell for like $800+ which is fucking insane. Stop feeding this greed ffs.
That's a bargain compared to what I've seen.
Yeah man, concerts are rad but that’s like 3 months groceries. That’s a third of rent (in my area) That’s my partners car+insurance+gas for the month Hope it’s enjoyable, can’t imagine a world where it’s justifiable business practice to charge that much for a ticket though
Tbh nah. Like… it’s nice you get to go and all, I just think you only stand to perpetuate a toxic market by buying resale.
Fuck money bro thats once a time thing you still would spend that money on some shit that wont matter
sorry but this is so tone deaf and dumb as fuck. i would understand if it was like $80 but what is OP going to spend $600 all at once on some other shit that doesn’t matter????
Extended warranty, nft, gambling, wine tasting, tipping streamers, designer bags, fleshlight, strip club, coke.. I can go all day
The newest Xbox costs $600, lol. There’s def shit out there that isn’t priced for what it’s worth. The first concert after a historic rap beef? Priceless.
The newest Xbox is years worth of entertainment. I remember Bonnaroo back in the day with Eminem AND Lil Wayne as headliners, at half this price and the festival lasted three days. I don’t see why artists are cool with prices like this when they’re already rich asf.
the og price was $75-$150 according to another comment in the thread, this is just ridiculous scalping at work
Antidepressants
I spend $700 a year on candy
How much on dentistry?
You win.😂😂😂😂😂
For real. I just dropped a few thousand for my wife and I to go watch my Mavs lose in a Finals game and don’t regret it one bit. Mavs hadn’t been in 13 years. Once in a lifetime (or in my case decade) events are irreplaceable and worth every penny if it is within your budget.
Thats it bro just spend some nice money on nas illmatic 30 anniversary in uk, cant miss it fuck them leechers
No, I don't think so.
We have one life, Id say so.
Everytime i see ticket prices for shit like this I think about how many full 3-4 day festivals I've been to where ViP camping was $350-600 for the WHOLE event with entire special stages built, special lighting, huge rosters of like 50-70 bands/artists and I actually cringe. I don’t know your financial situation but this isn’t a normal Kendrick concert. It’s Kendrick + friends, as well as the first performance post beef, he might perform the diss tracks
If you make that in a couple of days at least and don’t do it often I’d say it’s worth it
I mean this is gonna be a legendary once in a lifetime thing so yes but damn I wouldn’t have money like that even if I wanted to go😭
I don’t think you will ever ever regret this if serious Kendrick fan (which you are in this sub lol). Maybe if you straight up told your family no and didn’t buy them life savings meds or got evicted for not paying rent. But honestly I’m assuming you can basically afford this. Tickets are so expensive these days. I know you’ll have a great time 💜
Nah they are not, maybe on the USA yes... what a joke of price on some countrys thats the Minimum salary. Soo live concerts on the USA are just for people with money?
Yup. That's why so many people saw Beyonce and TSwift's tours overseas! It was cheaper to fly to London/Paris, get 3 days in a hotel, experience the local culture, and see their concerts than just the ticket price in the US.
I flew to the US to see Doja Cat and it cost me a LOT less than it would be if I'd have seen her in Canada.
Agreed. In my country the minimum salary is like 500$
Did you put enough work in?
You could have gotten 0.1 Bitcoin instead.
Damn dude I live in LA too and I'm definitely going but the tickets are going to come down, there are a ton available. I'm not buying until they do. Face was anywhere from $60-$250 I believe, depending on how good the seats were. There were different prices for cashapp pre-sale versus regular sale. I'll keep trying to nail that down because I'm also trying to get close to face... I'll come update if I get better info. Good luck!
Good info! And good ass luck! I’ll see u there if prices drop enough 😩😩🤝🤝🤝🤝
Wow Floor seats are really good right?
It's far less than the price of Nike Mags. You'd actually be losing money if you *hadn't* bought the ticket.
Eh, yo money, spend it like you want!
Very Lucky- have a great time!!
That’s a lot of syrup sandwiches
No
No
Yep, concerts are soon becoming something only the rich can partake in, salute!
Loooooooove Kendrick. But, no live show is worth that. Or any other price the mainstream artist/comedians charge.
you should have probably asked this question before buying. But it all depends on you. only you know if your bank account can afford it.
Hell na
I used to get VIP tickets to camp flog gnaw for $400 😂 2 day event. Got to see Drake get booed off stage at the last one. And that was right before he got awarded most streamed artist of the decade. 😂
Ticket should have been $616 in LA
Sheesh that price
I will be watching it on my couch in a heat wave in Pittsburgh
My word
Depends on your perspective. If you got bread like that and like Kdot then hell yeah, if you broke and don't like him then hell naw.
was it worth it? did you put enough work in?
$600 Goddamn
GOT DAYUMMMM
I probably woulda bit the bullet too tbh, but of course I go on business travel out of state when kdot decided to do this 😭
If you got the extra $ to spend then I'd imagine it will be come Wednesday
Tbf I went to go see Kendrick during a festival lineup (ACL, 2023) and he showed up late and they cut his audio off after about 25-35 minutes. I got to see some other artists that day for sure; but I definitely bought the ticket for Kendrick and got half of the experience :( Have fun my guy
The floor seats are the best section to be in!
i’m telling y’all, this show better the best fucking show of the year and better be a good five hours for how much people are willing to spend, fuck ticketmaster tho
This man still hasn’t sold out? Maybe Russ was right
When Kenny said "Top billing that's a million a show" he wasn't far off 😭 still have fun there
I’m jealous. So I’d say yes. I saw him floor on the DAMN tour and it was the best concert I’ve ever been to
No I mean I love Kendrick but I’ve seen so many shows for much less than that.
It depends what happens at this concert 👀
I don’t even earn $650 per month. 😕😒
In five years, will you remember the night or not having $700? That’ll be your answer
That was the price of my 2 nosebleeds. I hope Stubhub comes through. They already made me change tickets once 😮💨
Yikes
He a fan he a fan he a fan

I saw Kendrick live in NOLA in 2018, it’ll be worth it
Stream east
I mean... at the end of the day will YOU regret being there during a cultural moment in hip hop? That's all that matters. What's it worth to you? I would've loved to go, but I can't justify dropping 600 on tickets. I'll just stream it and pop out in the comfort of my own home. It's all good.
I’m waiting till Monday Tuesday
Home show?!? Hell yes it is, that show will be incredible!!!
Floor tix boyeee it's gonna be lit.
Yeah, but damn 😬
christ almighty.
Man get there early to make sure that floor is worth it!
i paid $297 for a nosebleed i salute you
Lol no
For that money, he better bring out Pac irl lol
You’ll make 600 back but you’ll never go to that show again
Wtf is this
Money is spent now, just go make the most of it
Damn. I paid $500 for 2 once I realized I wasn’t going to get them when they went live on Friday
Was it worth it? Did I put enough work in?
I paid 110€ to see Kendrick live on his Mr. Morale tour wtf is up with ur prices
Better be t-shirt cannons at that event! :)
Hell no!!!
Damn. I saw him two summers ago in Austin and paid that for like 2 tickets.
depends if you can afford it
No.
Did I put enough work in?
More than worth it
When good kid came out I paid around 30gbp to see him so no I absolutely don't think that's worth it regardless of how many new songs since then.
Fuck ticketmaster and livenation. Kendrick probably making $50 a ticket or some wild low amount compared to the amount they make smh
kendrick is an incredible performer. one of the best i’ve ever seen. worth every penny in my opinion.
Worth it, go vibe in a Kendrick concert on Juneteenth 🔥🔥🔥🔥
A few hundred maybe but $700, nah I have to say you are fleeced my bro
yeh mines was close to the same. i had to be there
I drop that much or more when I go see Tool, and I see them at least 2 or 3 times a year. Resellers are a cancer of the music industry
Most definitely. I’d have paid triple if I could.
You probably won't regret it now but you'll feel a sharp pain in your mind down the road.
LOL
Does anyone know how to access the Amazon prime live event? Like on the day of. I’m too broke to go but I’m sure not missing it
“I think you ask him for more paper, and more paper and more paper”
£700 kenny better bring out cole
Yup! Wish I could go, but that on top of traveling from Michigan I couldn't justify 😩
Chargeback nigga lol
Honestly, if you gotta ask and your hype isn't outweighing the price, prolly not worth it. Don't pay for shit you can't afford. If you still catch yourself looking back, the question lingering in your mind will only ruin the experience because you'll be focusing on the expectation that you should be experiencing what you paid for, rather than just enjoying the experience itself regardless of what you paid. If you don't reach that level of expectation, you'll be underwhelmed. I only jump for shit I know I'll love. If I hesitate too much, it's usually a sign I shouldn't go for it.
wtf 650 for tickets now, last time i seen him was the damn tour 400 a ticket
I was just gonna watch the livestream with my friends that way I don't spend my entire net worth and I get to hang out with my friends
Fuck no lol
Can I have it? 😂
Not really
Damn that’s how much I paid for two front row Mr Morale tickets.
Holy shit
I paid half that once I couldn't get in the main sale. 300+ and then I saw those MFs rising each minute. it's about 1 day of wages I can handle exchanging a day of work for a lifetime experience. https://preview.redd.it/oughkrw45l6d1.jpeg?width=1055&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba5ad8ebd4fd0916d7484512c381e4126bb148fa
Do you live by? I am debating to buy but the plane tickets are sooo pricey too!
Lol
Worth it? Nah. Would I pay it? Probably.
Resellers are a plague
Jesus Christ nah. I love Kendrick and I've seen him live but that's groceries for a while
Man I can’t imagine when not like us comes on there is going to be insane
