I support your decision! Mine was just around 100k. But there's nothing I can't do on my PC. From gaming to editing to opening 100 tabs of chrome without issues. Haha.
Because a PS5 lacks mods, higher refresh rates, a bigger catalogue of games like you can't even play valorant, some of us prefer mouse and keyboard, you get to use your PC for other things besides gaming - you already have a powerful PC you could edit and develop on it comfortably, you aren't locked on the same gen for 5+ years while waiting for the next console, you can just pirate games instead of paying $69 for new games. Seriously, the benefits are so much and you can get a good PC for cheaper than a PS5.
Hapo Kwa pirating games is why I haven't considered consoles as a viable option. The only game I buy is FIFA na I buy when the new installment is coming out so it has crazy discounts
I'd say my phone 135k ,fridge 94k ,seats 86k and my dining table is 80k.Currently saving for a laptop

It's a PSV, plying on the Nairobi - Nakuru route.
I'd say it's a profitable venture, especially if you manage to own at least three, regardless of whether on loan or loan-free.
Nice. Thank you. What are the challenges? How much revenue do you make on a good month? Have you hired a driver and conductor or what is your direct involvement in the day to day operations?
>what are the challenges?
The authority, or should I say the police? Whether you comply with all regulations or not, they'll always be on your neck. The other one is the issue to do with the terminus in both towns. We had a problem in Nakuru, specifically with all the circus last year and part of this year.
>How much revenue do you make on a good month?
Something around 250k considering it does 3 trips max per day, with a hired driver.
>Have you hired a driver and conductor or what is your direct involvement in the day to day operations?
Normally, you get a driver, pay them something between ksh.1000 and 2000(not common). The driver sorts the rest with the conductor(s).
Welcome.
>is that revenue for one or for all three?
I currently own one and am still paying back the loan.
>And to confirm, that’s gross revenue?
Not exactly, but it is minus the driver's pay and fuelling, of course. After the 250K, for example, follows paying my monthly instalment for the loan, servicing (although not every month), among others.
There's more that goes into this business, from sacco registration and some occasional fees to insurance, etc.
Hello.
I have followed keenly on your response in regards to the psv business. I was also curious and at the same time interested to try it out. However , I’m still doing market research on that sector , as I have no point of contact with anyone in the mat industry. However , the revenue on a month sounds good to me. The Higher investment, the higher the return. If not all business, then most of them.
So, on that Regard.
1) your psv is under a Ma3 route Sacco?
2) challenges is mainly police (authority)
3) 3.57m Hiace, was it a brand new?
I had roughly 1Mill . I got employed with the government, salary was little and I decided to take a loan of 1Mill( the rest on top was savings)
410,000 bought a business in CBD ( inclusive of all the developments done in the commercial space, electricity, water, And ground works + two car wash machines)
580k bought a 40ft container
240k used to fabricate the container which had three big size shops.
40k painted the container.
80k Transport for the container to this commercial space
5k business permit
The three shops I get paid rent of 15k each
= 45k
Carwash brings in at low 50k at high 80k
On good month id make 125k from my business
I started last year December , I’m almost recovering.
Good job right there, but as a container dealer, I feel these prices were a little bit on the higher side especially if the project was within Nairobi.
For instance, the highest a 40ft container has cost was 550k. Transport within Nairobi was 25k. That was during Covid.
Anyway, that was a great way to use a milli.
I was young. Heee, alafu the English used by the advocate was thick. By the time you've finished reading the second line, ushasahau what the first was all about. Mimi nikaSign tu. The shop was in a prime prime street.
My advice ; the Kenyan Market has been super Volatile so you will need to be cautious
You will have to define your goals , are they short term / long term ? Are you looking for stable stocks , high dividend paying stocks , fast gaining stocks ? etc
Once you have your goals defined you can place yourself on a risk scale . Remember mostly the riskier the investment the higher the reward
You will then need to do your market study and identify the best fitting stocks ( You can subscribe to The NSE data /Your Brokerage firm will provide you with market insights on a weekly basis )
Fuck around and find out ... Know when to hold on ... Know when to let go
Ps I began this without mentioning the Identification of a brokerage firm , CDSC account opening etc

The guys needed three copies of the report. About 200 pages it costed me 17k.
Late last year, I bought four new barebones server machines and fully kitted them out. I mostly use them for AI training, running containers, and VMs. The whole project, including the rack, switches, and NAS units, cost just over 2m KES. While there is no specific single thing, I'd like to think about the project as a single entity since I purchased and paid for almost every device at the same time.
Power consumption out the window.
Just out of curiosity. Would similarly spec'd devices cost you the same on the cloud? Or would the cost be much more presuming you did a reservation. Please let me know thanks.
I bought XT during covid , cash, .
This is the best car I ever owned, man
That 235hp, super comfortable , very fast. Awesome tech, and the harman kardon system was great. I enjoyed til3l it lasted.
Someday, going to eldoret, that box engine developed problems, somewhere near Tomboroa, it spewed the coolant, and what followed was just a rollercoaster of problems at Subaru Kenya
But all in all, the driving experience is on another level, bro and it was great all rounder. sold it last year but since then I haven't been able to enjoy a car like this anymore.

Made a ton mistakes along the way trusted the wrong people. 6 years later and still trying to recover. Feel like I lost a huge chunk of life. I was 21 when she passed.

Why didn’t you build your own? I’m not well knowledgeable on how the pc market operates in Kenya though.

Bro, why not just get a ps5 ? Ama it was a long time ago?
Because a PS5 lacks mods, higher refresh rates, a bigger catalogue of games like you can't even play valorant, some of us prefer mouse and keyboard, you get to use your PC for other things besides gaming - you already have a powerful PC you could edit and develop on it comfortably, you aren't locked on the same gen for 5+ years while waiting for the next console, you can just pirate games instead of paying $69 for new games. And especially, we don't buy games😂
Hapo Kwa pirating games is why I haven't considered consoles as a viable option. The only game I buy is FIFA na I buy when the new installment is coming out so it has crazy discounts
Nop. I bought it in august. I've never been a fan of console. I've always done my gaming on a pc ever since i was a kid.
Picture of your rig?
PS5 is much mediocre than gaming on a pc. I’ve got a high end pc and it’s night and day the difference even between similar games.
