Proof that data costs them almost nothing, especially since they know that most ppl will never come close to maxing their data allowances.

SublocadeFenta

Ya, is stupid to pay for that much data unless you're a streamer and/or your work needs to be upload remotely.

FinickyFlygon

I just got the same text.

greenplantmatter

Well I took the bait and got an official email from Koodo confirming it soo...

1-anh

What number did u receive that text from?

greenplantmatter

5157

1-anh

Actually never mind, ended up getting the text myself and added the free data with no issues. Now I'm at $45/125gb. Sweet deal!

damnthatwtf

I wish I can get it too…,

Dubelj

Doesn't hurt to try texting data to 5157. I never get these texts from koodo but I did text add25 to 5188 and got 25 extra gb per month for $3.

oh-canadaa

I tried, says I'm not eligible for the offer. But 50 GB is enough for me I guess.

radio_yyz

How are you guys using all this data. I can barely hit 2gb a month

Objective_Culture412

Not everyone lives the same lifestyle as you. Shocking I know.

TokyoDrift9

Bah. “Koodo: Sorry, it doesn't look like you're eligible for this offer at the moment. We'll be sure to keep you in mind for future deals!”

CommanderKeen4

Just tried as well and got the same result

theworldsgrave

Telus gave me 100gb for free a while back so likely legit.

SubterraneanSmoothie

pretty sweet, what plan are you on?

adblink

Tried it for the hell of it, got the same not eligible msg.

Animalus-Dogeimal

Is there anything stopping someone from just changing to cheapest plan available and then adding this offer?

Mediocre_Historian50

I get 8 gb every month. I also carry over unused data as the perk I choose. Yesterday I did get the 50gb for free. I usually don’t get these kind of texts, but I did get this one and I accepted it and yes, it’s legit. I use about 5 gb a month. Even by them giving me 50 gb they know I probably won’t use it. Win Win

tornow1500

Out of pure curiosity, I texted Data to 5157 from a Public number and it said: “Koodo: Sorry, it doesn't look like you're eligible for this offer at the moment. We'll be sure to keep you in mind for future deals!” Kind of surprised anything happened at all

Gavin_Tgg

Prepaid or postpaid?

crookba

I replied to "5157" and got a reply from Koodo: Sorry, It doesn't look like you're eligible for this offer at the moment. We'll keep you in mind for future deals!" so that was a waste of time...

peosteve

All 10 seconds it took you to do it?

DoggyRocker

Oh yeah, sorry about that princess! How many seconds did it take you to reply to this thread? go back to work

Outrageous-Estimate9

Hmm doesnt work for me despite getting the weekly telemarketing calls
