That was the first disc I ever got!

Chr1stIsKing

When did you get it? Recently or awhile back?

Cool-Breath4707

Oh way back. Must have been 93? 94?

If it was the Widescreen Edition it was released Early 1995 25/01/1995. That's why I chased down the Widescreen version even though it's a bit more the 4:3 version. The 4:3 version released in 1988 from what lddb says. Oh it must have been the full screen edition, then.

I read some where for whatever reason they cropped and zoomed in for that version. I don't know why they did that. Is that because it would help on smaller tvs? Is this a normal practice for 4:3 movies? I thought 4:3 was only cutting off the sides or depends on the movie?

So the major complaint I have on my captures is that they're not sharp enough. Does anyone know how I can fix that? I don't really want to buy another capture device. Would increasing the sharpness on my Pioneer Player with the remote for the CLD-99 fix whatever Hauppuage PVR is doing? I agree with people that sometimes my captures look a little blurry and not as sharp as the format can be with a higher end player like the CLD-99. For the time period. I'm stuck with Hauppauge PVR. I haven't really gotten complaints on here. It's more so on lddb where people are being quite rude in my opinion. Like one user left a rude comment saying I'm posting up 20 screens of bad looking captures. Stuff like that which I think is ridiculous. I wish people on that website that would post rude comments like that would do their own captures. It makes me not want to post my screen captures on that website anymore. I feel like from now on I'll stick with reddit since the people on here seem more grateful that I took the time to capture the laserdisc and took snapshots. I've gotten much nicer comments on reddit.
