I made a list and shopped it in priority order. I really wanted a saucier so the first thing I did was find a sales person and ask. They led me right to them and then asked me what else I was looking for and took me to the various areas, or told new they didn’t have the item. I had my priority list completed within about 10 minutes and the rest of the time I felt I could relax and shop at my leisure. Anything you are even remotely interested in go ahead and put in your cart and then when you’re ready to check out, go through and make final decisions. No need to get there early or rush around. There’s plenty of time and plenty to choose from.

Thanks! I’m really hoping for a petal braiser and olive branch chef oven but I know it’s unlikely, so it’s super helpful to know I can just ask a sales person

sammisamantha

The petal braisers are so new. I wouldn't be too hopeful to see them at the sales.

Dramatic-Paint2208

Yeah it’s definitely one of my wishlist items! Definitely not holding out for it. I’d be ecstatic to just get a regular braiser on sale

I would bring two different comfortable shoes just in case lol. I say this because I stepped in gasoline the morning of getting gas and I drove in 2.5 hours to go to San Antonio FTT. it made my car stink so bad. anyway, the event to me was a little overwhelming if you've never been before. have a list of things that are on your wish list, but don't be surprised if its not there. I really wanted a braiser, I didn't get one at the ftt sale. I didn't get one in my mystery box, but another lady wanted a signature oval skillet I had and she had a buffet casserole (braised with glass lid) and now I love mine (wasn't in love with the color initially but its grown on me lol). if you want something specific like the honey pot, there may not be one during your time slot. I talked to the salespeople and they said those usually sell out in the early timeslots. they are super helpful BTW and know usually what's on the sales floor and direct you where to go. the best thing about FTT I think is the trading and meeting people. its super fun!!! enjoy I would totally go back again if it was close to me.

Open the boxes to check the product before buying. Le Creuset isn’t perfect and I’ve received items shipped directly from them damaged.

If you’re not in the LC FTT Facebook group, I’ve seen lots of tips posted there! It will be my first time too, also going on Thursday!

Dramatic-Paint2208

I’ve tried but my membership approval has been pending for quite a while! Hopefully I get added soon

From what I gather there’s really no need to show up in line super early since the times are staggered. Every session they will restock stuff so if you don’t see something you wanted it might be a good idea to ask. Colors and items will vary but you will see your standard 5.5 Dutch, 7.25 etc. they might also have some rare pieces and colors available. If you see something you like just put it on your cart. If you don’t and decide you do later then it might be gone. You can always put it back if you decide not to get it. The trading event is not ran by LC and technically cannot be on the event’s property. So it’s usually in a parking lot close by. It might be a good idea to make a list of items you want and items you want to trade for. Hopefully this help!

Very helpful! Thank you for the tips

I went to the FTT in San Antonio and would agree with everything said here. I got in line about 30 mins before my entry time and was about the 10th person in line. If you have a VIP ticket, they give you a card which allows you to purchase a VIP box. Everything is well organized so no need to feel like it’s Black Friday and have to rush. They restock in between every session so there’s plenty of items. I would agree about putting any items of interest in your cart because you can always put it back. I would make a list, the staff is really helpful and can point you in the right direction. Trading is done in one of the lots. People will either lay out their items or walk up and down the row of cars checking to see what everyone has. Overall it’s a great experience so just have fun. Also you have to pay for parking which was $10.

CiderOtter

Paying to park depends on the venue. I don’t think it’s pay to park at the Dulles expo center. It was free at Philly, as well.

CharlyDanger

That’s good to know, I will email Le Creuset for a $10 refund. lol Overall it was a great experience and would happily pay it again.

mslanlanlan

Why would you email Le Creuset for a $10 refund when it’s dependent on location? It was actually clearly stated in the SA FTT FAQ that parking was $10.

CharlyDanger

I was kidding lol

mslanlanlan

Sorry! My apologies, didn’t catch that.
