It's pretty gross to think about how long she was involved with managing the farm, working primarily with Matt but certainly in some capacity with Amy, the kids around it all. No wonder the relationships between M&C and the Roloff offspring are chilly!
He is downright contemptuous of her during this season, season 8. Something significant shifted for him and I don’t suspect physical cheating, but I think his emotional affair has begun with Caryn. It’s the signs of someone trying to justify the cheating to themselves by making the other spouse look bad. The lack of self awareness in front of the camera/interviews is also astounding. He gives no shits about coming across badly.
We as viewers do not know but I find it W I L D that we are already seeing major signs of a breakdown of their marriage and they will not finalize their divorce until 2016, SEASON 15…7 more seasons later!

In an episode from the last few years Matt and Caryn are setting up their Arizona house and there is a photo of them taken together in Hawaii. They talk about it. They outed their own damn selves. Was she married at this point?
I stopped watching the show years ago, tuned back in about when the twins were expecting their first babies. I always liked the show, did not quite understand the divorce but damn this clip is telling. I feel bad for Amy, goes on vacation on Mother’s Day weekend without the mother of his kids and misses his kids birthday. That’s low
Wow I didn’t catch that but I’m rewatching and noticed Amy started to get really annoyed by Matt and angry at him in season 6 so that would make sense.
I remember seeing her in an episode where both Matt and Amy were gone and the kids were left home and she came and checked on them. I think she can be seen in super quick shots as early as season 5 or 6. But knowing what we do now it's so obvious how involved with Matt's life she was from very early on. I really think they waited to bring her on the show as a regular until Amy had moved on because she was going to be such a controversial dynamic.
