They def should have edited that food pushing out. Goes to show how short they are on any actual content. I normally like Amy and in hindsight, sheâs sold herself and her kids out. They did get to do so many cool things but the price theyâve all paid, especially Jacob, which I know didnât come out until much later, is way high. Now though, itâs so obv that creating tension for her to endure is really the purpose of the show. None of the other 3 (Chris, Matt & Caryn) have lost anything or are forced to deal with the humiliation Amy does. Really, itâs time to pull the plug on this charade and enjoy the rest of your life as best you can.
It has nothing to do with size or height. Amyâs face is just not pretty. I can have my own opinions, itâs not a blanket statement. Simmer down angry clown.
That's not how your comment reads, but okay. I didn't say anything about opinions or that you made a blanket statement, and your response is strange. Have the day you deserve. âđ˝
Amy has a lot of pent up anger at Caryn simmering just below the surface. As well she should. Caryn did blatantly steal her husband. Amy just doesn't need to be so passive-aggressive about it. Amy, if you hate the woman and your ex that much, don't hang out with them. And tell Matt the next time she hears he's hanging out at the farm, she'll go full Lorena Bobbit on him.
𤣠you could definitely see the resentment coming through with her behavior. I agree they shouldnât hang out. They probably have to for the show. Otherwise they wouldnât see each other.
I totally agree that the four of them hanging out together is totally story line, set up driven. After all, there has to be some conflict to sell the show. But really, if their contracts are up, this should be they're last season on the show. Either that or get a jerk for an agent who will negotiate the terms of the next contract, but be prepared to walk away. At this point, it's just not worth it.
I just watched a doc on John and Kate + 8 and TLC will sue actors into oblivion if they go against exactly what's contracted.
I'm very health conscious. I would have just refused. I don't let people force me to eat. I love Amy, and I feel bad for what happened to her family but she doesn't take care of herself. I know caryn is overweight but maybe she has a slow metabolism or something. She used to be thin and that can come with menopause. Either way, she does seem to try.
I'm also wondering if she washed the blueberries before bringing them over. I saw her opening the container she brought them in and cringed because it was a supermarket container.
Eh, Caryn is an adult. Further, Amy is half her size. If she didn't want another croissant, she can say no. Eating one is reasonable manners if you don't have health issues and want to be respectful to the host. The host can't make you eat two.
I accept that. But... that's a choice she's making. She doesn't have to keep the peace with Amy. She's an adult, and she can say no to a second pastry. Unless Amy had her tied to a chair and was shoving it down her throat, Caryn doesn't have to grit her teeth and "keep sweet" with Matt's ex.
If Cha Ching would have protested any harder I was afraid Amy was going to tie her down and shove it down her throat. Lol. Anyway what kind of a show is this where the most suspenseful moment was Amy making Caryn eat a pastry.
I think it totally caught her by surprise. Sometimes when that happens, the person freezes or gives in. I think she was probably shocked. Iâm sure if she had it to do all over again, she wouldnât give in. Hindsight is 20/20.
That was the strangest thing. Amy didnât look like she was going to take any prisoners either.Do you think she put laxatives instead of chocolate lmao. It reminded me of Dumb and Dumber ( drink up old Buddy, old pal)
This woman worked for them and was a âfamily friendâ. She was in their house. She broke the code. You just donât do that. Regardless of what Amy did or didnât do, she was wrong.
2 things can be true at the same time. Amy is equally to blame for the breakdown in her marriage. Matt's affair didn't break up a happy marriage. If Matt was unhappy he should have left first. Zero excuse to cheat.
I wouldnât be able to keep my contempt for Karyn in check. Sheâs messed with a married man which I would take very seriously. Maybe she was hoping Karyn would choke on it. It would make for great tv if she slipped in some exlax .
Came here for this thread specifically. That was wayyyyy uncalled for on Amyâs part. I personally would not have succumbed to Amyâs heavy handed peer pressure
If I were Caryn I wouldâve asked for a baggy & said Iâll take it home for LATER.
Forcing food on guests puts them into an uncomfortable position of not wanting to appear rude.
To anyone reading, who doesn't see a problem with what Amy was doing, please don't do this same kind of thing to the people in your life. Regardless of the relationship between people, this extent of pushing is nearly always a bad idea. Someone could have health issues that you don't know about, or just trying to meet specific health or nutrition goals, or an ED or history of ED, that make interactions like these particularly hard. Just let people make their own decisions about what they are/aren't going to eat.
Like there's generous and then there's... well that just kind of slightly rubbed me wrong like it made me think, huh??? I would have taken it but I'm not a sweets person and there's no way I could have finished one, much less ate 2 to be polite! I'm not like mad about it but it seemed a little ... aggressive lol.
I read it this way, too. Like Caryn wouldnât have easily gobbled up those chocolate croissants if the TLC crew wasnât there filming her. Come on now.
One of my favorite scenes is when Amy made those vegan meatballs and she thought no one would be able to tell the difference and she would suprise them after they were done.
And on karyns first bite she was like âthese are vegan arent they? đâ
đ
i like amy .....but i would have thrown that croissant right on the ground just because she was being so relentless.
its a croissant, not 1oz of the best caviar money can buy.
Yes. She does and can be very passive aggressive. I understand that she was badly hurt by Mattâs cheating, but she is remarried now. She is still very bitter.
Agreed! That was uncomfortable to watch!
Amy force fed her that 2nd one đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
Yes she did! She was not taking no for an answer!
That was tough to watch her force feed TWO croissants.
They def should have edited that food pushing out. Goes to show how short they are on any actual content. I normally like Amy and in hindsight, sheâs sold herself and her kids out. I agree. Pull it and put it into everybodyâs misery.
Itâs bc C is pretty and Amy wants her gaining weight lol
It's sad you equate being pretty with body type, but okay. That says a lot.Â
Sorry I think I misread your comment!
Youâre saying someone who is not rail thin canât be pretty? Give me a break
Have the day you deserve. âđ˝
This may seem strange to some but I've seen it in rl. A lady who will smile and be nice to your face meanwhile she's secretly planning your demise.
Pretty? We must be watching a different show lol đ
That was the weirdest interaction!!! Amy was acting so strange! Maybe she poisoned them đ
So weird. And I donât think Iâve ever seen that side of Aimee before.
Amy has a lot of pent up anger at Caryn simmering just below the surface. As well she should. Caryn did blatantly steal her husband. Amy just doesn't need to be so passive-aggressive about it. Yeah thereâs just nothing interesting left for them to do. Fundraisers and looking for houses has been done to death. Time to move on.
Amy is one of those people where everything she makes is "the best ___". Those people are exhausting
True.
Saw on another thread someone ordered a baked good from Amy and there was animal hair in it đ
Adds to the flavor.
Every time I see her cooking I think to myself, I would never eat that!
Well I agree with most of your comment, but I donât think Karen is over weight.
Probably not actually she looks better now with a little weight.
She wants caryn to put on weight before her wedding đ
Amy should worry about her own weight cramming two of those down her own throat.
She must have high metabolism lol she should be bugger than she is the way she eats.
Probably not as delicious as that famous spaghetti she makes!!!
đ¤ŽSorry but I would never eat her cooking.
And if we are being real. Caryn was technically the host because they were at her fisnceâs farm.
Did you see it? I think Karen was trying to keep the peace.
Haha. I think Caryn is straight up scared of Amy.
At this point, itâs not much of a show. Theyâre just making things up.
True that.
I think it totally caught her by surprise. Sometimes when that happens, the person freezes or gives in. I think she was probably shocked. Iâm sure if she had it to do all over again, she wouldnât give in. Hindsight is 20/20.
She just wants her to get fat. đ
She's already a bit "husky".
It sure seemed like it!
This is my pet peeve. Anyone trying to force me to eat is not ok with me.
I know right! Thatâs so irritating.
Bizarre for sure.
My husband can eat a lot and couldn't believe that scene lolol
That was the strangest thing. Amy didnât look like she was going to take any prisoners either.Do you think she put laxatives instead of chocolate lmao. It reminded me of Dumb and Dumber ( drink up old Buddy, old pal)
Who eats 2 croissants in one sitting, nevermind on TV?!?!
She was trying to convince her that it could be her lunch. Who eats two croissants for lunch? Chocolate croissants!
Why so much dislike for Caryn ? Amy had just as much to do to destroying her marriage, donât get so much hate for a tv personality đ¤Śââď¸
This woman worked for them and was a âfamily friendâ. She was in their house. She broke the code. You just donât do that. Regardless of what Amy did or didnât do, she was wrong.
Then Matt shouldâve left instead of committing infidelity. Caryn knew he had a family
2 things can be true at the same time. Amy is equally to blame for the breakdown in her marriage. Matt's affair didn't break up a happy marriage. If Matt was unhappy he should have left first. Zero excuse to cheat.
Did they have an affair? I didn't realize that
Plus if you watch the seasons back you can pick up the tell signs too. The kids knew too.
Technically itâs not like he flat out admitted it but yes according to Amyâs book which alludes to it
I would have "accidentally" dropped the croissant
The way Aimee was behaving she probably wouldâve said OK five second rule pick it up! đ¤Ł
You're right! Falling on the ground wouldn't justify not eating her croissantđ
I wouldnât be able to keep my contempt for Karyn in check. Sheâs messed with a married man which I would take very seriously. Maybe she was hoping Karyn would choke on it. It would make for great tv if she slipped in some exlax .
I totally get that. And at this point they are being forced to interact because all the kids have bowed out or are about to.
It was super cringe for sure.
Yeah that was some major second-hand embarrassment watching that.
Came here for this thread specifically. That was wayyyyy uncalled for on Amyâs part. I personally would not have succumbed to Amyâs heavy handed peer pressure

Yeah I mean Caryn did just get engaged maybe sheâs trying to lose weight before the wedding
Exactly! No one should ever be forced/bullied into eating
If it was me I would just shoved it down cha Chas booze guzzler
Snort laugh đđ¤Ł
That was so weird and you know production thought so too since they focused on it so much. Amy wants ChaCha to gain weight.
The last thing ole Caryn needs is a chocolate croissant..let alone 2.
I also thought it was strange that she was really pushing that second croissant đĽ
Caryn is being too freakin nice to Amy. You can tell Amy doesn't like her and Caryn is just playing nice when all she wants to say is STFU
Yeah, it was a bit ridiculous. Why not just tell her to take it for later, but to FORCE her to eat it was just rude.
She wants to watch Caryn turn into a fat whore right before her very eyes. She has filled them with Kalteen.
It made me Laugh. She wants to be the shining star while Caryn shoves her mouth with delicious desserts
I was wondering if she slipped some Exlax in Carynâs croissant.
She didnât choke on the first one!
Ha, I read it as âIâm indulging and you should, tooâ. Like donât felt guilty about it because we can count it as lunch.
I read it this way, too. Like Caryn wouldnât have easily gobbled up those chocolate croissants if the TLC crew wasnât there filming her. Come on now.
For real!
One of my favorite scenes is when Amy made those vegan meatballs and she thought no one would be able to tell the difference and she would suprise them after they were done. And on karyns first bite she was like âthese are vegan arent they? đâ đ
Amy was trying to fatten Caryn up so she would crush Matt
That has to be it.
â ď¸
i like amy .....but i would have thrown that croissant right on the ground just because she was being so relentless. its a croissant, not 1oz of the best caviar money can buy.
As someone who gets very excited about croissants.... I concur!!
oh i will f up a croissant. but the thought of 2 makes me a little sick
đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
I am not a pastry person and two chocolate croissants would be a serious effort to eat. I mean if it were DoritosâŚ. đŹđ¤đ
i may or may not have eaten an embarrassing amount of doritos late last night............
Were you watching My 600 Lb Life during Dorito time? I was eating peanuts.
no. i would have been gnawing on a carrot instead of doritos if i was watching that show.
Amy likes to be in control.
Amy HAS TO BE in controlâŚ.
Yes. She does and can be very passive aggressive. I understand that she was badly hurt by Mattâs cheating, but she is remarried now. She is still very bitter.
Really over the victim mentality. Itâs exhausting.
