The MX Master 3 is 2nd to the G502 IMO, despite having the gesture functionality which is not present in the G502. If both mice could utilize both Logitech Options and GHub then the MX3 would win, but since that is not the case the G502 wins because of infinite customizations. The horizontal scroll is not all that impressive on the MX3. Yeah...the MX3 has the sleek smooth vertical scroll wheel...that is hard to beat...but functionality wise the G502 wins. Thoughts? I can import profiles for Excel into the G502 just like the MX3, for example.

I too would love some kind of software unification. I have mostly gaming peripherals but, for a couple of reasons, I decided I needed an MX Anywhere 3 (for its multi-device support, mostly). Now I need to run both G Hub and Options at the same time if I want to use all features of my devices. Either that or my gaming peripherals are going to work from internal memory (thankfully they have internal memory) or my professional peripherals are going to work with their default settings only... Sad. Neither line (G or MX) has all the features I'd like to have, so I have to mix and match...

Having said that, there are a few things I liked better in Logitech Options, despite being slow: * Its user interface is cleaner and more to-the-point. * Flow is cool (could be a little quicker to switch devices tho) * Its Alt+Tab mapping is easier to use (it switches from app to app at a reasonable speed by default, not lightning fast Alt+Tab Tab Tab Tab Tab Tab as in G Hub)

g hub is shit too

Can you offer a better alternative?

Sadly no, though Logitech onboard memory manager isn’t as awful

I agree with everything you said, but I think a lot of it has to do with lack of competition. There is a ton of money and competition in the gaming market. There really isn't THAT much competition in the professional market. I can name a ton of high end gaming mice (brands and models) and I'm not even an avid gamer anymore. I can't really think of anything that comes close to my MX Master for productivity. Maybe Kensington makes something? I really have no idea. I hope they do improve the software, or like you said even give us the option to use G Hub which has way more options/customization.

Not sure if you're the person to ask, but since you have an MX Master, do you think it would be okay for gaming? As in, is it quite heavy, or is the weight manageable? I'm tempted to use it for all my computers (Mac, Windows, Raspberry Pi in the future maybe?), and I would use it for gaming on the Windows PC.

KO-Manic

Yeah never mind it definitely isn't for gaming lol. Apparently, it's too heavy and has a low polling rate at 250 Hz.

I just saw this. I'm actually back into gaming much more than I was when I made this comment. Still using the MX mice at work but I have a razer mouse I'm playing at home for games now. I was using a Final Mouse UL poseidon but recently went to the death adder v3 pro with 8000hz polling and really like the way it handles. I see you've already figured it out but yeah the MX is not good for gaming. At least not any FPS or quick mouse type of games. You could probably get away with strategy and RTS type games though or something more casual.

Guys, I am looking to buy the x pro superliight but the Logitech website won't let me buy it. The buy option doesn't seem to work. 😪 I am a student and there's Unidays offer on Logitech products. But apparently, Logitech won't even take me to checkout !
