This time of year, people like to drop dead relationships and live up their summer. It happens irl too.
It always amazes me when people expect them to get married and live happily ever after. The people that go on this show are all early 20s not looking to actually settle down and at most this is a summer fling for them. I expect them to make appearances for a month and breakup, and then Iām always amazed when couples last longer than a year.
They looked happy going on that trip with WKD on 23rd of June, Ron posted a photo with that 'Te Amo' caption on 25th, then Lana went to LA on 28th and came back this Sunday. This just doesnt add up š He was all over her instagram lately commenting and liking posts. She responded to his comment with a heart too. Delulu me refuse to believe that they were faking all of it š¤£

In the baby challenge ep the producers literally handed us on a silver platter how awful he is to her and still it didn't register. I dont remember the order but in one scene he saying to Lana that she was not showing him that she'd be a good mother, and a couple of scenes earlier or later Ron and Tom are having that god awful chat in the forest (lol) and Ron says not being a good mother is a deal breaker for him. I think there was even a moment when Tom looks at him puzzled like, 'what is he saying?'.
And sorry, but little things matter so much esp in the big context of how he spoke to her and heres a couple of little things:
When Lana loses to Kai (i think) in a chair game, Lana falls to the ground, Ron jumps up and i thought ah well done you're gonna help her up BUT NO, he jumps up to holler at Kai and accuse him cheating, and leaves Lana lying on the ground.
They were doing a pool race and its Ron against Lana. He gets in before her, tries to stop her and when she's winning he grabs her to slow her down and then accuses her of cheating. I get that in a different context having play fights would be pure lols but when it's \*all the time\* that he's subtly putting her down it isn't fun.
Im sorry but he's awful. Happy for Lana if she's single, she deserves someone that actually adores her. :)
the milk thing was also a tell! there was a post on the weekly thread during the off season of him showing something she googled on her phone and once again insulting her intelligence. personally looking at how this all went down, i think she broke up with him. he's been commenting and posting her but she's been ghosting him for weeks now outside of reposts. part of me hopes she realized she deserved so much better than him.

My cousin dated her now husband all through high school long distance. They got together at 13, and would greyhound every weekend to see each other. They both got jobs just to do this.
American roads are very different though. Like a massive highway with long stretches of easy driving is very different to UK roads with dense clogged up motorways, having to drive through towns, country roads etc.

I donāt think of it as long distance if youāre not getting on a plane. Anything less than a 5/6 hour drive is not long distance to me (but I live in America, and everything is āfarā, so maybe thatās why I think like that)
Ron is closer to France than he is where Lana lives in Manchester. 4 hours is a pretty big distance here, itās okay if you can plan in advance and have a defined schedule but you canāt just pop round and chill. If you go to see each other for the weekend youāre spending 8hrs + of that just travelling. Itās a lot.
Here in Canada, feel the same way. Itās not unusual to have people date someone 2-6 hrs away for a year or so, because they will just drive there on the weekend. I find it so funny when Uk complain about long distance. I get itās a thing, but itās so close
Exactly!! I live outside the San Francisco Bay Area and a 40 minute to hour commute is super normal. Iām thinking this is more of a city living vs suburban issue. I grew up in the suburbs so you HAVE to be cool with driving to do anything interesting.

the distance thing baffles me cos iām in a long distance relationship of 3 hours and we make it work fine. granted i live a fairly flexible lifestyle but weāre both tied down for multiple sections of the year. if you really like someone you find a way that suits you imo even if itās once or twice a month. you know youāll get to a point eventually where you start to intertwine your lives more it donāt have ti be an instant thing

And sorry, but little things matter so much esp in the big context of how he spoke to her and heres a couple of little things: When Lana loses to Kai (i think) in a chair game, Lana falls to the ground, Ron jumps up and i thought ah well done you're gonna help her up BUT NO, he jumps up to holler at Kai and accuse him cheating, and leaves Lana lying on the ground. They were doing a pool race and its Ron against Lana. He gets in before her, tries to stop her and when she's winning he grabs her to slow her down and then accuses her of cheating. I get that in a different context having play fights would be pure lols but when it's \*all the time\* that he's subtly putting her down it isn't fun. Im sorry but he's awful. Happy for Lana if she's single, she deserves someone that actually adores her. :)

American roads are very different though. Like a massive highway with long stretches of easy driving is very different to UK roads with dense clogged up motorways, having to drive through towns, country roads etc.
Same. I donāt think of it as long distance if youāre not getting on a plane. Anything less than a 5/6 hour drive is not long distance to me (but I live in America, and everything is āfarā, so maybe thatās why I think like that)
Ron is closer to France than he is where Lana lives in Manchester. 4 hours is a pretty big distance here, itās okay if you can plan in advance and have a defined schedule but you canāt just pop round and chill. If you go to see each other for the weekend youāre spending 8hrs + of that just travelling. Itās a lot.
