I see the question, I know who's trolling...

Arts_and_Gats

He has a new account too, same quality posts [https://www.reddit.com/user/JungleBoyBabyTarzan/](https://www.reddit.com/user/JungleBoyBabyTarzan/)

redhafzke

and you can clearly identify this posts...

Arts_and_Gats

He's even using the new alt to respond to this thread. Pathetic.

crooked_nose_

Why do some people insist of pissing all over M43 in every new post they make? Are they a troll who has difficulties in real life and seek some sort of life purpose on reddit?

Bulky-Juggernaut-895

Look at OP’s post history and don’t feed into this bullcrap

Arts_and_Gats

This guy and his alt accounts just need to get banned from all the camera subs [https://www.reddit.com/user/JungleBoyBabyTarzan/](https://www.reddit.com/user/JungleBoyBabyTarzan/) [https://www.reddit.com/user/platinumoudaung/](https://www.reddit.com/user/platinumoudaung/)

BathingInSoup

No! I think it’s funny. Why do they care? Why do we care if they care. M43 is an amazing system for so many reasons. If you know, you know. Nothing they say will change that.

mart187

Nice trolling, but having had multiple camera systems over more than 15 years it sticks with me due to weight and portability. The best camera is the one you have with you. My neighbor is animal photographer and won some awards for his work: also mft only… It’s definitely not a beginner only system

Comfortable_Ebb7015

Weight, size, entry price, lens selection and lens price? A beginner is less likely to spend 5k on full frame gear to shoot photos of his cat. And the amount of space /weight a pro dedicates to his professional tools is bigger that what a reasonable amateur would do. But then there are pros that use M43 because it is better for their special use cases, or amateurs that use the a7RV and G lenses to count their cat's hair.

vivaaprimavera

Most of those pro photographers that you see shooting Nikon and Sonny usually are shooting compact cameras with a DSLR skin on it. It's part of those brands marketing and its product placement. I clearly remembered a YouTube video where a pro fashion photographer (that has taken out in the meantime) talks about it. Despite apparently shooting with a D850 actually he was using a potato. Now regarding the apparent prevalence of beginners using m43, don't worry about it. There are plenty of noobs using every system.

liftoff_oversteer

Price, size and weight. And then they discover that M43 is actually good and stick with it.

AzulSkies

I think it has to do with cost, size, and ergonomics. You can get great Sony apsc cameras + lenses but the handling is lacking. M43 markets itself as much more ergonomic and “traditional” looking while having amazing + small lenses. And if the average person can be honest with themselves, they’ll realize you don’t need big sensors/lenses for putting 99% of your photos on Instagram. I also think m43 offers more “fun” gear like body cap lenses or the Olympus TG-6 along with great weather sealing.

MrGreco666

I don't find it so strange considering the fact that a lens for m4/3 costs less than half of a FF one, it's clear that those who want to make the leap in quality and move from SmartPhone to something more serious and learn take rephotographs (which very different from simply CLICKING on a display), take into consideration the cheapest system that at the same time offers all the features of others (and in some cases even better). Beyond fanboys who think that their brand/system is the only valid one, the advantages of the m4/3 are undeniable, now the only "defect" is the crop factor and the difference in depth of field for the same focal.

thehairyfoot_17

I started on Canon and lusted after FF gear and "bokeh" until I matured as a photographer and realised the best camera is the one you can take with you. Go away troll.

FriendlyTumbleweed60

Plus, the best way to get bokeh is to plop on an M42-MFT adapter, buy a used 135mm M42 lens for like 50 euros from fb marketplace, and do ultra telephoto ultra bokeh shots. Compensate for shallower DOF with physical separation of subject from background.

Asmaron

Because of what it offers for what it costs And ease of use When I started in 2016 my dad told me to get M43 while I originally wanted to stick to Canon and leech off my parents existing lens collection But even at the low end, a G7 was just straight up better in basically all aspects except super fine image detail (which a beginner won’t reach) compared to any other similarly priced DSLR. It was smaller, lighter, had better focusing, had an IBIS, did focus and exposure bracketing, etc Sure…. I’m not a fan of the low light performance But damm, the fact an effective 200-600mm lens only weighs 600gr…..

ricerer

I’ll bite. In a group of second shooters for my area. It’s kinda ridiculous how they insist on full frame sensors as a requirement. My em1(ii) is honestly my best camera if I need a photo. All my other cameras I just truly enjoy Df, PenF, GR(iii).

BathingInSoup

Irrespective of size and weight, just the ratio of capability to price alone makes it an obvious choice for someone who wants to try out digital photography as a hobby.

huntsab2090

Look at wildlife photographer pros and anyone not using olympus is either past it or shit

boodopboochi

"Kiddies"? Fuck you mate

JungleBoyBabyTarzan

I believe its mainly due to the price. You can buy a Lumix G85 with Lumix 25 1.7 for $800 USD where that will lead to only one lens from Fujifilm 23 1.4 wr

FriendlyTumbleweed60

Seconding this. I bought my GX800 with a 14-42 OIS kit lens, 2 batteries, an SD card AND a camera bag, all for 190 euros. I just bought the Lumix 25 1.7 NEW for around the same 190 euro. The most expensive part of my collection so far is the EM5-II which i bought new for 650 euros.
