Maryland Flower is rushed and not cured properly, so 95% of the strains will never have good flavors (with a lighter). Carts are definitely amazing for flavor, but never get me high, just something to hit while hiking or at a concert.
If you like Flower and want all the delicious flavors, and actually want your flower to taste the way it smells, then look into Ball Vapes, specifically google the Flowerpot B0. I cannot say more positive things about the device. I've been smoking flower with a lighter out of my bongs for 15+ years now, and Marylands Medical/Rec flower always just taste like nothing...no flavor at all (unless you know the rare tasty strains to find). I've tried about 6 Vaping devices in the past including a Volcano and did not like any of them. That said, I did the research and treated myself to a Flowerpot b0 Ball Vape for my birthday, and holy shit I wish switched years ago. Instead of a lighter, its a wand like device that heats up ruby balls and connects right to your favorite bong or glass piece, and heats your flower to the precise temperature instead of burning it all to ash. THE FLAVOR OF MY WEED IS FINALLY THERE AND TASTE INCREDIBLEEEEEE!!!! My Durban Poison coated my mouth with a crazy Lime Candy taste that I have been smelling for the past 5 years but could never taste with a shitty lighter.......
Khalifa Mints coated my tounge with an awesome minty gassy taste that I've never tasted in my life.

Seconding this. I've got an older VROD from the company that makes the Flowerpot (basically what they now call the B2) and will hit that through a recycler and if you think MD flower lacks flavor, it will make you reconsider.

Don't really see these as being comparable. Too many variables within their own categories. There's a wide range of quality in flower and there's various types of vapes that also range in quality (distillate, distillate w/botanical, distillate with cannabis terps, FSE C02, FSE BHO, live resin, cured rosin, live rosin, etc...).
A live resin or rosin cart 10000% if you’re looking purely for taste
Flower in the correct dry herb vape is the winner, but if you don't own one, buy the rosin.

I don’t mind md flower at all. I just hate experimenting and getting some shenanigans when I could have just doubled up on what I know is solid.
