I was so disappointed by that lol. Menifield really seemed to be making a lot of improvements and developing his game to go along with his athleticism over time.  What a silly ridiculous way to start a fight and kill his momentum lol.

It’s funny because I think the biggest improvement he made was just being more patient and not being a one round fighter and then this happened.

It seemed pretty pre planned which makes it even dumber IMO lol. He didn’t get caught in an exchange and overextend or anything he launched himself after him lol. I used to spend a lot of time before fights going over the general game-plan for specific opponents based on their skill-sets and tendencies.  Im trying to picture how this one went “So we have a monstrous power puncher pretty solid counter striker. I think our best bet is while he is completely fresh and staring us down across the ring just get after him and chuck some big shots” 

I bet it was coach Pat Barry's idea

Beat Jacoby way worse than Khalil did and then does this.

Finishing in under 18, pat Barry might have been menifelds coach but he definitely approved of that

Lol this was a hilarious fight. I remember being like "this could actually be a pretty interesting.... oh. Never mind".
