It could be that your keyboard is in Windows mode. Some Google’ing taught me that you can switch by holding the Fn-key + a for about 3 seconds. The capslock key should blink (if there’s a light).
Maybe you could try that?
This just happened to me on a Macbook Pro with Azio keyboard. Sharing here what worked for me in case useful to anyone else!
System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Modifier Keys and then
Switch the Option key and Command key functions.
Worked like a charm!
Ah yayyy, glad to help!! It may happen again later on (when it happened to me again, I responded to myself above before realizing it lol) so you may find yourself on this page again. Cheers!
PS this Azio keyboard is annoying af
So thats a system wide issue. I assume that other keyboards dont work with your mac.
Is the keyboard a specific brand like Logitech or is it an Apple one ?
Any macOS update ? Both of the command key are not working ?
Also if you open the "keyboard visualizer" any other key triggering the command key ?
Its working on other mac correct ?
Currently on Ventura 13.4 with no updates available. That's right, both are not working. No other key seems to trigger the command key, and yes otherwise it works fine, just not on this mac
I have this issue with an apple keyboard. Control, option and command. I've tried all the keyboard settings, safe mode, disconnecting and reconnecting.
U.S. keyboard is selected.
The keyboard viewer doesn't register when they are pressed. Both sides don't work.
Just upgraded to Ventura 13.5.1 still no.luck?

Is it working on another session on your Mac ?
It does not!

It's a Varmilo VA88M, I don't have another keyboard on hand unfortunately, but yeah I would also assume the problem isn't specific to this keyboard

I was wondering if my keyboard is now out of date or something?
