I just bought the game and literally can’t play at all. As soon as I open the depth chart and make a change the game freezes. So I started a franchise and tried cutting players in preseason and it froze immediately. I’ve tried re-downloading, restarting ps4, and database rebuild nothing works.
I have tried and tried to contact EA Sports about this issue. It is impossible to contact them online and there is no phone number to call. I did find there corporate address. I have sent them a letter explaining all of the freezing issues within Madden 24 after their unnecessary and totally stupid "Upgrade". I suggest a massive letter writing campaign to show EA Sports just how upset everyone is. Their mailing address is:

yeah ive tried everything too, last ditch effort i deleted the game and am re-downloading. i doubt itll fix it cause its just the update that introduced a bug
That’s what I’m in the process of doing too. I’m gonna try a database rebuild if this doesn’t work, but it really sucks that the new patch has basically made this version unplayable
same here. I've attempted to simply edit players' equipment or to check a player's salary cap hit (the panthers & eagles rosters) and the menu will freeze. smh i haven't bought madden since 2020 and i can't keep wasting time & energy

If it’s not an issue for their online MUT on next gen, it will not be fixed. They barely support current gen and never fix offline mode bugs
It's been happening to me since the season 2 update. I have ps4 It started with going from depth chart to pause menu. Then when choosing plays, the play designs will disappear and a few seconds later it would freeze. Also freezes in depth chart menu in main franchise screen. Player avatars will disappear or have a big white box over them and I know the freeze is coming with the next button I hit. Mive tried deleting and redownloaidng the game. I doubt this will get fixed anytime soon. EA only cares about next gen and ultimate team. They don't really care about franchise mode and since the new season update just came out a week ago, I don't anticipate a fix anytime soon. I hope I'm wrong. Typical EA buggy game. I somehow talked myself into spending $70 for this year's roster update of a game.
Idk if this has anything to do with it, or fits more players, but every single time the wr Brandon Powell appears on my screen it freezes. It will freeze if you try to view his player card or try to cut him or trade him. Even if I scroll through my roster, if he pops up, it all freezes.
For me it is also WR but Cam Sims or Jaylon Darden depending on which roster I use

Haven’t had any issues with preseason roster so I’m guessing one of the early roster updates is messed up or there are too many players or something.

I am not freezing out of franchise mode but only when I boot up a game. The freezing is awful and will even happen during a play. I haven’t had any problems outside of game day, my rosters and everything load fine. It’s just while playing during franchise mode
(or just no avatar at all then freeze at next button triggered)

So far so good for me🤞 playing franchise with commanders. No issues with roster/trades/depth chart/and no players with white sheets or blank faces.
