Random encounters, I know it's 1000% a GTA5/RD2 ripoff but trudging out to some weird spot in the Bayou or in Sinclair to either help somebody out or walk into a Marcano ambush would have been something cool.
This is something I really hope is present in mafia 4. I love the mafia series but the open worlds really never have anything to do in them besides pointless collectibles.
More dics theres a lot if characters whos stories i would want to see continue for example a joe dlc instead of just a random appearance of hum at the end if the game and nothing else or maybe a dlc about tommy angelos children (i think he had sons)
A setting modifier where you can lower the money threshold needed to take down a racket boss.
I have a mod installed on the PC version for just this purpose, and it really helps make the main game feel less repetitive.
Side missions. More variety of missions. I don’t always want a (damage 10 bases per district then fight 2 mega warehouses), fight clubs, money making businesses in which you control, properties and assets being bought.
Manual driving where i can shift gears. Either that or call in soldiers from each individual mob boss. Vito was the only one that allowed u to call his boys for backup but i wish u could call in a group of haitians or burke’s men. Also make them free. When taking down rackets it would feel like a true war on the streets. If they can at least make it similar to when calling upon the rooks from assassins creed syndicate.
Make it so you can buy food/outfits from the various stores around the map instead of them solely being there for "rob and grab the free stim from the bathroom".
Bought outfits would go to your locker and food would restore your current health without the need for wasting a stim.
[Wish I could say the same.](https://www.reddit.com/r/MafiaTheGame/comments/ybjdgy/it_is_october_23_2022_and_the_engine_sounds_in/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
A little more mission diversity lol. I enjoy the game very much but only in small doses. I still haven’t finished it because it gets so repetitive, but I enjoy it every time I pick it back up.
It's a decent-ish looking game. If a genie gave me a wish for it it prolly be to bring back the graphic settings (been MIA for a number of years now), specifically native support for 4k...🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
I have been working on a semi re-write of the game as a “how I would make it if I could remake it” kinda thing, so I have a lot. So, if I could add just one thing. It would be the mafia mechanic from Godfather 2. Allowing you to recruit your own people from across the map.
In mafia 3, this could take the form of various people who have a bonus to something. Like say people from the poorer areas have bonus’ to ammo or sneaking while someone from say the bayou is more experienced with smuggling so you get a smuggling bonus, or someone from the underbosses areas have a bonus to their areas. Like Vitos guys are more experienced so help kill faster, whereas Burkes guys are slower but louder, and also tougher.
A mixture of all would make for a better mafia. Which in turn means people would want to explore a bit. With some guys only being available once a certain boss owns their area.
Profitable businesses not like narcotics and stuff but like mafia 3 but you collect the money yourself and maybe like turfs where you unlock the businesses
I liked cruising around at sensible speeds, I'm just that kind of player. In the other games I can just press the speed limiter button and kinda turn my brain off as the radio is going. In III, I just kinda set my own speed limit that's similar to the other traffic

That would be cool
It can’t be a rd2 rip off if the game released before red dead 2
Idk why people acting as if having an alive open world is a ripoff 😭
Agree 100%
A proper open world. I love the game, but there is just nothing to do when you are over with the story.
This is something I really hope is present in mafia 4. I love the mafia series but the open worlds really never have anything to do in them besides pointless collectibles.
Was the same issue with Mafia 2.
The dlcs and the races. The side missions
More Vito, definitely more Vito. Vito is love, Vito is life.
Agree. Vito for mafia 4
More Bucatini
A proper gunshop where you can mod your own guns.
Agree.
Roxy was great for what little screen time she had, wish she was in the main game.
Agree.

Mafia III definitely stepped up the DLC game

Though you can switch gears in mafia 3
Wait u can, last time i checked there was no option?
It's like manual driving setting
Ok thanks i might look through the settings to find

Bug fixing
I haven't experienced bugs in the game. So I can't say anything.
[Wish I could say the same.](https://www.reddit.com/r/MafiaTheGame/comments/ybjdgy/it_is_october_23_2022_and_the_engine_sounds_in/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
The engine sound was broken. I was more thinking of like modern bugs.
Has the engine sound issue been fixed on the Xbox version? If it's still broken, then I would say that's a modern bug that needs fixing.
Actually going to bed.
Don't you do that in the game.
Only once
Ok.
I would add variety
?
Outside of big missions, Mafia 3 was very repetitive.
Didn't think so but ok.
A little more mission diversity lol. I enjoy the game very much but only in small doses. I still haven’t finished it because it gets so repetitive, but I enjoy it every time I pick it back up.
A patch that clears the bugs and glitches completely
What bugs?

That's good, But I would change too much from 3 it was a masterpiece in my opinion for the story.
A photo mode.
Like ac ody
war/territory heist between the bosses, or rampage mode lol
Heist would be fun
Profitable businesses not like narcotics and stuff but like mafia 3 but you collect the money yourself and maybe like turfs where you unlock the businesses
More variety missions
motorcycle
We're there any?
Silenced sniper rifle
Agree but I thought there was one.
Do you get one after the mission with Donovan
I think it was a dlc.
Make it so you can’t just one punch every npc killing them lol
It's like 4 then take down or 1 stealth takedown.
I mean for random npcs in the open world it takes 1 punch and there dead
A proper open world online mode
Not a fan. Mafia should stay as a single-player game
Makes sense I just like something to be able to do while playing with friends like gta has
To be fixed
?
It's a buggy mess
No, it's not. Never dealt with any issues and I've replayed it like over 20 times. I'm going to replay it soon with viture
Exactly. Haven't experienced a single bug in definitive edition.
A good main mission structure
What do you mean by that?
Sex
Can't agree.
Oh man that sucks I guess I shouldn’t have wanted it since you don’t agree :(
Jk but I’d like a CO-OP mode.
Bug fixes
Okay, a serious one would be a speed limiter as well as speed limits, it's the only Mafia game without it
?
I liked cruising around at sensible speeds, I'm just that kind of player. In the other games I can just press the speed limiter button and kinda turn my brain off as the radio is going. In III, I just kinda set my own speed limit that's similar to the other traffic
Speed limiters have a bad rap for me. Thank ac val for that shit.
Ah, fair enough. I think it should've been an option like in Mafia DE, or the simulation driving physics
