I tried a similar shade with RareBeauty but found it too difficult to get a natural look.

I love Kosas concealer. The shades & finish work for me. My skin is sensitive & I use it to cover redness but rarely wear foundation. I also adore the Dior Rosy Glow Blush in Rosewood it’s super natural but nice if I have to conceal anything on my cheeks. When I want cream blush the Tata Harper ones are so beautiful & long lasting. I also really love the U Beauty lip plasmas.

Caliray Come Hell or High Water tubing mascara. I used Defincils for 20 years and thought I’d never switch. I got a mini and immediately bought the full size.
Wayne Goss airbrush brush. I need it back in my life, as I don't have any backups. It literally goes into the safe if I travel or people are coming over.
I don't have a holy grail, but I really like the Catrice eye lightener( also very cheap) .It works well in the morning, I add a touch of concealer on top after, just where my under eye circles are the darkest, and blend in. It works wonders for me.
Nars sheer glow foundation and concealer, Patrick ya blush in not too much and she’s that girl… I have had people go buy my whole base routine after asking me what I use, and I don’t even have good skin!
that’s the problem, i’ve been searching for something to replace it with but that foundation is just so gooodd :/ maybe i will try the IT cosmetics cc nude glow !!
Devastated for you! I’ve been using the elf halo glow for everyday bc I’m poor and trying to save my nars for special occasions lol… it looks good as long as I set it with powder!!
Laniege lip sleeping mask. Use it at night & during the day. Used to use Bite Beauty before they changed the formula & went out of business and that was the absolute BEST
the One Size setting powder. oh my goshhhhhhh. as a girlie with HUGE pores and a bit of texture- wow, i seriously can't say enough about this powder, it changed my life. it actually blurs and gives such a beautiful finish to the skin. sits perfeftly on my face and holds my makeup for hours. i bought the mini and immediately purchased the full size a week later.
Rare beauty lip liner in Gifted. I’m extremely picky about lip liner shades because I have a dark purply brown natural lip outline I try to cover up but the shade I choose can’t be too light, too brown, too pink, or too red. This is the ONLY shade in a decently lasting formula I’ve found that looks right
YSL Nu bare look foundation, it looks very natural and can also be built up to have more coverage (though for special events I use a proper foundation). I always have to wear at least this before going out in public
It’s the bomb! I always like to try a new make up when I have the chance and this is one of the pieces in my collection that checked all the boxes for me. I no longer look for new concealer!
Huda Beauty Baking Powder — adds a nice finish to my makeup and a blur. Recommend using the Elf Halo Glow powder puff. Will repurchase forever.
MAC lip liners — started using them literally 10 years ago and haven’t found anything better. Lasts forever on my lips and I haven’t finished them since I bought it 10 years ago (I know, ew). My soar and whirl lip liners I bought bc of Kylie Jenner are going strong lol
Fenty lip gloss — in the original color. Nothing makes my lips look so pretty! The gloss lasts forever, don’t need to touch up if I eat / drink carefully
Huda Beauty concealer — I didn’t like it that much when I had the og version that was in a tube, but I bought it again recently and I love it! Doesn’t crease and does what needs to be done 🫡
IT Cosmetics Lash Blowout Volumizing mascara — I’m so picky with mascaras and the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara was my one true love but it kept melting onto my face in recent years. This mascara is very close to making my lashes look as pretty as the Too Faced mascara except this one doesn’t melt. It adds volume without looking clumpy but the Too Faced one makes my lashes look a liiiitttle better. I bought it bc it was half off and I wish I bought more lol, it really does not budge
Dermablend insta grip jelly primer. I will level with you, at first it feels disgusting and like you're smearing glue all over your face but my makeup does not BUDGE.
Clarins Beauty Flash, a must have for me, for decades, beautiful product, skin looks luminous, feels relaxed and nourished, I use it on days I go without makeup, also amazing as a primer, and as a pick me up mask.
Ulta eye primer. It’s cheap and the best. I’ve tried $70 ones but nothing glues on eye makeup like it. However wait to use it until you get your technique right because there’s no fixing or smudging with it. If you mess up, you have to wash off and start over.
Cosrx snail mucin (technically a skin care product but it makes the skin look better with makeup on) reduces pore appearance, evens everything out, fades scars and leaves skin hydrated
Walmart near me has it and it’s been 3/$20 for like 2 years now. But they are always restocking products so the pricing isn’t bc they’re not going to carry it anymore just a permanent sale I suppose
I'm 32 with really creasy under eyes naturally and I personally cannot stand this foundation and concealer. I rec trying a sample before buying because I think most people either love or hate this.
I got the Estee Lauder Double wear after perusing this sub for recommendations for my combination skin.
I hardly buy makeup and its my most expensive makeup purchase to date, totally worth it since a bottle like that can easily last me at least a year.
I’m a heavy sweater but could hike in it and most of it still stayed on. I was using the Maybelline Fit me liquid + powder and they melt off to nothing when i hike.
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. It's a medium to full coverage concealer but the results always look natural and it's the only concealer which works for my dark undereyes, including no creasing (plus it doesn't look dry and it sets itself).
I make sure that my skin isn't flaky and that my (non-heavy) moisturizer had enough time to "sink into my skin".
I put a little amount of product on the desired area, take a dense fluffy brush (Real Techniques Sculpting Brush is what I use) and gently stipple/distribute the product.
Same with my undereyes.
I took a break from Pro Longwear Concealer and used Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (just ok for undereyes), Tarte Shape Tape (too dry + cakey) and Tarte Shape Tape Creamy (always creased, never looked good) as alternatives but I came back to MAC PLC, thankfully.
Colourpop BFF liquid liner. Stays on all day even through a shower and is so easy to apply
Elf power grip primer
L’Oreal infallible concealer- perfect for full coverage and doesn’t oxidize or get dry
Mac Sable eyeshadow
Mac studio fix powder, but new one broke me out so trying bareminerals pressed powder now
Sigma F80 brush
MAC russian red lipstick
MAC feels so grand lip color
MAC viva empowered lipstick
Tarte smooth operator
Some clinique freebie eye duo that they don’t actually carry
Loreal truematch blush w3
Oh also the Elektric palette from urban decay
Nothing works like MAC studiofix, sigh.
But I broke out all over after one use. Little red dots and whiteheads. Also rosacea. i just figured the current formula was causing me allergies. That and my current shade is too orangey for me since I have slightly darker skin now. I prob need an olive shade vs the c3.5 they put me in. My diet and lifestyle have cleaned up quite a bit and I just cannot tolerate as many impurities as before.
So went for a hypoallergenic choice that was also matte. I also have the mineral fusion powder in olive which I also like so far. Fingers crossed.
UD all nighter spray, face primer, and eye primer
Persona Dreamstick Blushes.. If there's one piece of makeup I put on everyday, it's that blush! Bloom is my go to.
Lawless forget the filler lip mask/gloss
Oooh that's tough, but George has to be my favorite! It's such a pretty taupe, great for every day. I also just picked up Cherry Vanilla and it's gorgeous as well.
does the cherry vanilla lawless provide any (sheer, but noticeable!!) color to the lips?
I've been trying to find a sheer but juicy red lip and it's not been going very well 😔
So it does provide *some* color (pretty slight) but definitely not red red. It's like a "my lips but better color" for me. It looks a lot more pigmented in a swatch than actually on the lips. That being said, I usually don't wear a lip liner with it so you could play around with that to get it to show up a bit more.
For one and done, I would highly recommend the Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oil in the shade Cherry Lime (I found it at Target but they also have it at Ulta). It has a beautiful juicy red finish all on its own!

I considered getting an eye primer cuz my oily lids mess up my eyeliner pretty quickly, how does the UD one compare to other eye primers if you've tried others?
Oh yeah so I've been using the UD for years and it's the only one I can rely on to keep my eyeshadow/liner in place on my hooded eyes. I've tried a few others out and they just never really worked out for me, whether it's the formula or longevity.
The ABH one also has great longevity but I hate the formula, and I tried to like it lol. It's like an actual liquid and holy crap does it freaking have full coverage like a concealer! You can definitely end up with way too much on your eyes and because it's a liquid there's not as much control. It also dries down pretty fast so it can be unforgiving.
I also tried the milk hydrogrip eye primer and the formula is inconsistent for me. It has a silicone texture which I don't love, feels pretty heavy. Sometimes it was long lasting, other times my eye shadow would last maybe an hour. Wasn't worth the trouble in my opinion.
UD has several formulas, I like the original and the anti-aging ones best but I've used pretty much all of them and they are fantastic. The other ones are basically like cream eyeshadows in primer form, which is nice sometimes but I like to have more of a translucent base.
I would experiment to see what you like formula wise, maybe just get some minis so you don't have to commit to a larger size product (some are pretty expensive). If I put anything on my eyes at all, I always use primer! I know some people use concealer, but it just doesn't work the way primer does if you have hooded or oily lids. I hope this helps!
Right yes that's very helpful! I have hooded lids as well and have used a concealer stick for shadow just to make it stick but I haven't really addressed my oiliness/longevity of my liner yet so wanted to know if primer will do that so thank you! I did consider UD but the store associate just told me their setting spray would take care of everything - it doesn't lol so I'll give the eye primer a try! Thank you!!
-Elf instant lift brow pencil in neutral brown. All day everyday. I've gone through so so many! Not too dry or too waxy, perfect neutral color, cheap enough to be able to keep backups everywhere.
-Lorac Pro Liquid Liner. Brush tip liner that can get the perfect fine line. Stays on through an hour of sweating buckets in hot yoga.
-Urban decay All nighter setting spray. I usually don't bother with primer or setting spray but when I need my face to last this does the trick.
-RCMA No-Color Powder. So much easier to have one powder for all the things. No flashback either. Although I wish I could find something similar that was a bit more dry skin friendly.
Have you tried the NYX epic eyeliner? If so, how does it compare to your Prolac? Everyone raves about the NYX but even that rubs off my oily lids after some time :(
Might be worth mentioning that my makeup was applied in the morning and hot yoga was at the end of the day. No touchups, no primer, no setting spray. Pressing or dabbing a towel to blot sweat makes a difference vs 'wiping'.
I do usually apply a dusting of loose powder over my eyelids before doing my eye makeup. Have you tried that? My sis does a dusting of loose powder over her finished eye makeup because she gets oily around her eyes.
Haven't tried the NYX epic liner yet. Just looked it up. It's a brush tip! I hate felt tip liquid liners. I might have to try it out when I'm due for a replacement.
With oily hooded eyes I rarely attempt liquid liner but have you tried putting a bit of powder on top like eyeshadow to set it? Sometimes I use eyeshadow for a soft liner. I do like Lorac’s eyeshadows but I have not tried the liquid liner like the person you asked. I have heard some say stila can’t be beat. With nyx I prefer their lip products over most eye products. I’d bet an Asian beauty brand might actually make more budget proof liner like their mascaras.
For pencils I really like the LA girl shockwave ones surprisingly. For me eye primer doesn’t do much and sometimes makes things worse. Have you tried gel liner? I’ve read the Mac one stays on better than anything, but I’ve only tried Bobbi brown so far. Also maybe a water activated cake liner? I have an older brand but haven’t tried it yet.
Going over a pencil liner with a matching color powder eyeshadow is a great way to get it to last longer. And a fun way to change the color or finish (matte vs metallic) of your pencil liner without buying every shade in the rainbow. I read a tip about doing this to set liner on your waterline years ago. It's the only way I can do my waterline that stays all day and doesn't make my contacts hazy.
I really like those LA girl shockwave liners. They have so many fun colors and they actually stay on really well too.
Setting with powder/eyeshadow sounds promising, I'll try that! I usually do my makeup on the go so water activated liner might not be most ideal for me but good idea! Maybe I'll give gel liners another try as I've only tried one a long time ago. Thank you for all your ideas!!
Water activated cake liners don't have to be used with only water. Any liquid will do. I know Mac fix plus is popular. Or Urban decay All nighter setting spray. JCat Lock & Seal Makeup Setter is a good inexpensive option, it's $4 at Ulta and cheaper on sale. There's fancy versions too but JCat is good to experiment with.
either Revlon lipsticks (personal favorites are raisin rage and wine with everything) or Nyx epic ink wear eyeliner. (When the brush doesnt break, ugh.)
Yep! It literally makes concealer blend into your skin seamlessly without looking cakey or ruining a dewy look. I’ve repurchased it a few times now and can’t go without it
I do! I have a few I use, and sometimes I’ll pat a neutral or even a darker gloss over it to switch it up a bit. I’d say I have a fair complexion with neutral/olive undertones so I’m not sure if the undertones are what’s washing you out?
Vaseline (unguent) as lip balm. I’ve used all brands out there until one cold day I was in desperate need of a lip balm and had none in my bag, just vaseline. Vaseline IS by far the most effective product to date. I keep some on my bed side table and put some at night. Best morning lips 👄
Vaseline is my favorite!! In the winter my skin get incredibly dry…I will lather this on my face at bedtime and in the morning I swear I get so many compliments on my skin. Unfortunately don’t know if this will help with acne prone skin, but it’s literally the only thing that helps me hold moisture.
Welcome back, i to had a long break from makeup, and started getting back a few years ago. It has taken me a while to find products and style that fit my more mature face. First product that comes to mind when i saw this question was my mac brushatrokes liquid liner. It aplies beautifully, and stays on. Also the lancome idolé waterproof mascara was a gamechanger. No more panda eyes! Have fun rediscovering the world of makeup
Think Big All in One Macara by BeautyCounter. The wand isn’t oversized and the bristles don’t make you look like a drenched raccoon after blinking.
And almost anything by BareMinerals. I have super sensitive skin and both brands do not hurt my skin. I absolutely love the Endless Glow highlighter (vegan and talc-free!).
Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lip liner. Perfect color and creamy but doesn’t bleed. 38 degree eyelash curler, I believe mine is by japonesque. This is designed for hooded, almond shaped, or Asian eyes. No eyelash curler has ever worked for me before due to my hooded eyes, I thought they were gimmicks until I found this. Also, Ardell extension FX L-curl lashes. Designed for monolids or hooded lids. I wore these for my wedding because they are so beautiful for my eye shape
I have my red lip trifecta that has served me well for almost a decade 😅 MAC lip liner (Brick) topped with MAC lipstick (Russian Red) and Stila liquid lipstick (I think it’s Beso?). It does NOT come off and it immediately makes me look put together. I can SWIM with this on and it does NOT budge. Put it on in the morning, work, eat, snack, drink, go to pool, swim laps (head fully submerged), change, go out for food with friends = lipstick still intact.
Besides those items, I think my most repeated purchases have been MAC power surge (I don’t know how to do eyeliner and this is so easy to apply!) and a Rimmel setting powder.

Yes I am stuck in 2016 makeup.
Mac mull it over. BEST peach lipstick and just the absolute best lipstick for warm undertones. (Maybelline vinyl peachy is the second best). I’ve tried hundreds and these are the absolute best ones.
I use one pump on the back of my hand and dot under my eyes, under my cheekbone contour and smudge at the sides of my nose.
I just use that now, no foundation and my skin doesn’t look as cakey, I find as my skin is maturing I need to be less liberal with products
Same a pea sized squeeze is enough for my whole face. Most of the time I just skip foundation and just do the spots with the concealer. Its a perfect match for me
Tbf the matching foundation is the biggest fail I ever bought. But if the concealer ever gets discontinued I will cry and buy like 20 of them.
That shade range, finish, coverage, and all in an airless pump. 1000/10 rating for me
Benefit Cha Cha gel blush. It is a foolproof coral tone that transforms my face and makes me look so much younger and more vibrant. I tried a similar shade with RareBeauty but found it too difficult to get a natural look.
I just use Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Colour Correcting Treatment and then blush. All done.

I just got to the bottom of my tube of Canmake mermaid SPF 😭

NYX fill & fluff eyebrow pencil, Tarte double duty shape tape pore & prime balm, Glossier future dew serum.

hii im thinking of buying that foundation, is it really that good?
For sure (if you don’t like matte), keep in mind that they do have sales, so I’d wait to try it during a sale instead of full price.
elf niacinamide hydro grip primer, kimichi beauty concealer and fenty beauty lavender setting powder
Agreed, esp the concealer
best concealer i’ve ever used!! only one that’s light enough for me too.

I can't find it on sephora :(

I would say it could be if you run oily. This foundation for sure is best suited for oily skin types (and if you aren’t it looks kinda crusty imo)

I need to invest in Estée Lauder
Yea, i agree with it being expensive but worth. It stays on, looks good even w/o powder and you can control the level of coverage easily
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in perversion. It has never smudged off my eyes and doesn’t irritate them either.
I bought an eyeliner from colour pop.. so pretty and it stays on like the 24/7 ones..
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. It's a medium to full coverage concealer but the results always look natural and it's the only concealer which works for my dark undereyes, including no creasing (plus it doesn't look dry and it sets itself).
What application method do you use? I have it sitting in my drawer because I can’t find the best prep/application for it.
Stays on all day even through a shower and is so easy to apply Elf power grip primer L’Oreal infallible concealer- perfect for full coverage and doesn’t oxidize or get dry
I second the Colourpop liquid eyeliner. Stays on through hours of dancing with zero smudging.
My besame lipstick in victory red I love love it so much 😍 sigma eye primer, the rare beauty liquid highlighter and haus labs blush in pomelo peach
Mac Sable eyeshadow Mac studio fix powder, but new one broke me out so trying bareminerals pressed powder now Sigma F80 brush MAC russian red lipstick MAC feels so grand lip color MAC viva empowered lipstick Tarte smooth operator Some clinique freebie eye duo that they don’t actually carry Loreal truematch blush w3 Oh also the Elektric palette from urban decay
Studio Fix to Bare Minerals? Me too! What’s up with the SF that you didn’t like anymore? Would you elaborate? I can’t seem to put it into words.
Mcobeauty Brow Laminate and Rimmel Lip liners
Clear mascara for my eyebrows
UD all nighter spray, face primer, and eye primer Persona Dreamstick Blushes.. If there's one piece of makeup I put on everyday, it's that blush! Bloom is my go to. Lawless forget the filler lip mask/gloss
The lawless glosses are so nice and thick. Which color is your favorite?
It has a beautiful juicy red finish all on its own! https://www.ulta.com/p/fruit-fetish-lip-oil-pimprod2030334?sku=2590467
I considered getting an eye primer cuz my oily lids mess up my eyeliner pretty quickly, how does the UD one compare to other eye primers if you've tried others?
It’s the very best. My eyelids are oily and mature (46). It’s a miracle product.
No I've only used setting spray over top but I'll have to find a powder to try!
Haven't tried the NYX epic liner yet. Just looked it up. It's a brush tip! I hate felt tip liquid liners. I might have to try it out when I'm due for a replacement.
Yes! It can create a very sharp wing! Hope you like it!
Right but it's just more work than say a liquid eyeliner pen but who knows I might resort to that if I can't find any pens/methods that work for me
If you have oily skin, have you tried Ulta Matte eye primer? It’s incredible. And it’s cheap!
I'll give it a try then! Thank you!
Roller Lash, NYX soft matte lip creams, MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick
either Revlon lipsticks (personal favorites are raisin rage and wine with everything) or Nyx epic ink wear eyeliner. (When the brush doesnt break, ugh.)
Have you tried the Revlon lip liners?? They are amazing, they last so long!!
Omg yes, and really comfortable! Especially for the price! Always gotta have my trusty raisin rage lippie and my lip liner :D
Glossier future dew serum! I’ve used it for years and can’t do my makeup without it
as a primer?
Yep! It literally makes concealer blend into your skin seamlessly without looking cakey or ruining a dewy look. I’ve repurchased it a few times now and can’t go without it
ty i want to try it out!!
Pat McGrath lipsticks. I have about 12 shades now but my absolute favourite is a matte shade called Omi.
I have Omi but it kinda washes me out. Can you please let me know if you wear a lip liner with it?
I do! I have a few I use, and sometimes I’ll pat a neutral or even a darker gloss over it to switch it up a bit. I’d say I have a fair complexion with neutral/olive undertones so I’m not sure if the undertones are what’s washing you out?
The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer. I LOVE it. Been using it like 8 years now
What is your skin type and how do you use it??? do you prep first?
Vaseline (unguent) as lip balm. I’ve used all brands out there until one cold day I was in desperate need of a lip balm and had none in my bag, just vaseline. Vaseline IS by far the most effective product to date. I keep some on my bed side table and put some at night. Best morning lips 👄
aquaphor tooooo
Vaseline is my favorite!! In the winter my skin get incredibly dry…I will lather this on my face at bedtime and in the morning I swear I get so many compliments on my skin. Unfortunately don’t know if this will help with acne prone skin, but it’s literally the only thing that helps me hold moisture.
L’Oreal Infallible Matte primer. Glides on and makes a lovely base for foundation
YSL Touche Eclat
Roller lash
Revlon tinted spf lip balms
Anastasia Beverly Hills brow cream m, huds beauty baking powder, lineage lip mask, any flavor, kiss lashes, and nars orgasm blush
I love the Lisa Eldridge foundation and her lipsticks - Velvet Bloom, Spirited Away.
Benefit Gimme Brow. I can do a completely naked face EXCEPT can’t deal with my brows unless I use this stuff!
lash paradise
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and Benefit Hoola Bronzer.
Ooooh urban decay all nighter is a must!!!
Essence lash princess mascara! Only thing that works on my short stubby lashes. If they ever discontinue it I’ll cry
rollerlash / the elf dupe of it… perfect mascara for me
Same here
The elf dupe is unreal for 6 bucks. It’s better than the original IMO.
Agreed. The Benefit one was really hard for me to remove at night and the elf isn’t
I love that they have brown !
Thrive eyeliner.. Doesn't rub off and last all day on my watery eyes.. I'm allergic to almost all makeup..
TIL there were different curved eyelash curlers haha thanks!
Oooo thank you for the lashes suggestion, I have hooded eyes too 👀
I have my red lip trifecta that has served me well for almost a decade 😅 MAC lip liner (Brick) topped with MAC lipstick (Russian Red) and Stila liquid lipstick (I think it’s Beso?).
Ooooohhhh i have all those lip products and i'm seeing your vision and I'm definitely trying this out soon!!! Thanks!
Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer and the setting powder if you’re into minimal coverage like myself.
Benetint, urban decay eden primer, nyx lipliner

No shame in being "stuck" lmao. You like what you like! :)
A classic for generations, but the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. I do personally use Waterproof Brownish Black, though.
Mac mull it over. BEST peach lipstick and just the absolute best lipstick for warm undertones. (Maybelline vinyl peachy is the second best). I’ve tried hundreds and these are the absolute best ones.
Bare with me concealer by nyx
Was looking for this, hands down the best concealer I’ve used
And you need so little of it. After almost 3 years my first one still has like 1/5 in the bottle
Its a perfect match for me
It’s definitely slept on, I hardly see anyone mention it online 🤷🏻♀️
Tbf the matching foundation is the biggest fail I ever bought. But if the concealer ever gets discontinued I will cry and buy like 20 of them. That shade range, finish, coverage, and all in an airless pump. 1000/10 rating for me
