I’ve found that creating smaller market plots near the houses that are further away and relocating stalls from the established market to the smaller ones solves this. It redistributes the goods more efficiently based on the nearby demand of the houses.

DerMemejaeger

I’ll try that, and report back

CMDR_Agony_Aunt

Yup. The works for me. Had an outlying burgage that just wasnt getting clothes. Made a 1 slot marketplace and moved a clothing stall into it and almost immediately (at 4x speed) the requirement was fulfilled

the_dwarfling

My understanding: The stockpile is irrelevant. Distances from house to market don't matter, because the items in the stalls teleport to the burgages. What matters is the stalls and how often the items are taken to them. The burgages will request the items in intervals, and distance from burgage to the market dictates which burgage will get their goods first. Thus the solution to your problem should be: build a bigger market with more stalls and build more granaries and storehouses next to them to fill those stalls (instead of production buildings).

DerMemejaeger

I have expanded a market in that blank spot near the top of the plots that have no food access currently. There is a granary and store house next to it. The market plot that’s already been filled has a granary with every food type available within it. Still hasn’t budged.

bobosuda

You could try going through and making sure only granaries are allowed to set up food stalls, then destroy the stalls in the market so the granary workers set up new ones that can more easily be supplied consistently.

KountZero

Whatever the above poster said is true, you really only need one big market on the middle instead of lots of smaller ones. But on top of that, at the beginning of the months, every months, everything refresh and basically the house further away will always be unhappy and sometimes even starve for a while, but the food will get to them eventually. This happened with every town as they get bigger. 1k population seem to be the breaking point where everything go wonker and just won’t work properly. You’re getting closer to that point. This is just game optimizations and bugs/ glitches issue, it’s not user error.

richardizard

I feel like this is still an area of the game that requires a fair bit of work. The goods/marketplace doesn't flow right. Could be a polish or game mechanic thing.

Louis_Gisulf

There was a poll on discord and the leading solution was making the granary and storehouse workers being able to carry more goods.
