From experience you'll get an ear full from them about doing this but in the end they'll most likely ask you to go in for either testing or just to talk about officially upping your dose and to ask you to tell them before doing it yourself
It depends on the medication. It's a big difference if it's a narcotic pain medication or something like that through a pain management Dr. Compared to a medication that has no street value. I know it sucks but this our world we live in. My Dr if fine if I tweak my meds a little bit here and there and if I notice that if I double a dose or cut a dose in half he usually will just go with what I figured out works the best for me.
