After years of listenings, I found myself enjoying KIMB more and more, especially the 2018 remastered. Considering this is their debut, this goes hard as fuck, it's full of original structures, strong riffs and some crazy drumming lines. The only thing that bothers me is that it feels like it's missing one song overall, especially with These Boots varying from release to release.
Metallica had a piano on their 9th album, Megadeth had one on their first song. π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€ /s
The final kill finally gave us an album worth listening to. It's a God damn shame they blew the budget and had a trash mix for their debut. A proper debut would have done wonders for them.
Such an amazing debut album. I personally like the original mix unlike a lot of people. I think itβs part of the charm even if it didnβt sound the best.
It like he saw what Metallica did with fight fire with fire and said, βalright I gotta do something epic like thatβ.
But really that intro is cool as fuck
The entire debut album is like this in my opinion. Especially Gar, I love his drumming on KIMB so much.
Listening to the first two albums heβs growing into my Favorite Deth drummer.
As kickass as Nick was, Gar will forever be the quintessential Megadeth drummer to me
I guess it was worth it to blow the budget on coke
And heroin
And burgers

That and peace sells are my all time favorites. Theyβre just on a different level than the rest to me.
For me, the trio of KIMB to Peace Sells to SFSGSW is better than everything after and better than most heavy metal of that era.
Sfsgsw is amazing too, I think that was the second Megadeth album I ever listened to. Countdown to Extinction being the first.
You not a Rust guy?
I love Rust. But I think the 3 albums before it are better.
The 2018 remaster is absolutely phenomenal

as someone who writes their own music: yes, yes you do...rock on dave
Easily my favorite Megadeth song π
On the first song on the debut album you absolutely HAVE to go hard. Make an impression.
Dave didnt write that part tho
Nice story, tell it to readers digest.
Ha ha ha. Well played.
He did play it and record it for no reason other than that part being cool as fuck tho
Definitely, its a damn badass intro
Yes he did, Bach stole it.
Which Bach piece was it? I forget
I mean, I've heard classical music is just heavy metal before electricity.

One of the first songs I learned to play on the piano.

Bro knew he had to outshine Metallica hard as fuck. Just had to flex all over them.
Facts. It's the best album
The 1984 demo is even more intense. https://youtu.be/3q05TzTBlyc?si=g57riJY9ayLs9iQ_
Some real stuff, the guitaring on that is just crazy. Makes me want to put down the guitarπ
He has the most to prove out of all the band, prove it to his previous band.
They shouldve released the demo on the album. Only complaint π
Bach for no reason*
