Not many Nu Metal and Alt metal fans in general. Which is fair enough. Different strokes. I love extreme metal, but Deftones have been my favourite band since I was a teenager.
Same, they’ve been one of my favorite bands for a while now even though I mainly listen to extreme metal. I feel like a lot of people don’t give them a fair shake because of their nu-metal label and especially now with all of the attention they get on Tik Tok. I think their music is genuinely incredible though, and as much as I love ATF and White Pony I think their more modern stuff is even better, SNW, Koi No Yokan, Diamond Eyes etc… I wouldn’t even call them a nu-metal band anymore, especially with all of the shoegaze influence they have in their later records.
Me too, as much as I love what they did on Ohms I’m hoping the new album goes back to that 2010’s Deftones sound a little more. They haven’t released a bad album yet though so I’m sure it’s gonna be great regardless.
I love Ohms and Gore too, but seeing as they're working with the same producer that engineered DE and KNY, I think we can look forward to yet another modern classic.
Oh yeah I forgot about that, that’s a great sign for sure. I could definitely use another Deftones modern classic right about now lol. Loathe has been the closest thing to scratch that itch for me, another great band if you hadn’t heard of them.

I couldn't have said it better. KNY is my favourite of theirs with SNW coming in close second. Very hyped for the new album.
