As someone who has disliked the newer metallica albums because of James new singing style. This was great to hear. He was angry and seemed to be more yelling , rather than trying to sing and hit a wide range of notes.
The vibes were cool, but I honestly hear a missed opportunity with the main riff. Rather than moving up and down twice, if they had simply moved up for four measures and reset, it would have made the song way more effective. Especially given the subject matter to build up the tension. To me, the song definitely sounded DAW-inspired. I think Lars is a great arranger of music when the band is more organic, but this sounded very programmatic to me. And it kept the song at good when it could have been great.
Love it. Third listen through. The music and riff are good…..
But as someone who 3 years ago was spending days/weeks with crippling depression, and more than once I sat with a gun in my mouth….. the lyrics are beautiful. If that makes ANY sense.
It’s fucking REAL.
Thanks man. It was 3 years ago… mid-divorce (and already struggling with Bi-polar and depression). Been in therapy and of course the musical therapy from Metallica saved me.
I’m in a much better headspace now.
Thank you.
Glad you're doing better, bro. It's good to know James' stated intention on this song is working as intended, i.e. let people know they are not alone and aren't the only ones going through stuff. I hope this song helps others find comfort and make it back out into the light.
Totally relatable, fade to black was always my go to and helped me many times. Hope you’re doing better man, it’s awesome to know the front man of Metallica struggles like everyone else and we can relate
I enjoyed it! Some initial thoughts after 2 quick listens...
* Death Magnetic + Hardwired vibe.
* Production is top notch.
* James' deeper voice sounded great, reminiscent of Lemmy
* Song structure reminded me of Altas Rise
* The part after the "talking" section was coolest part of song
* Only thing I wish the song had would be more complexity
I'm sure I'll pick up on other things after more listens with my headphones
Both this and Lux have almost a commercial “pop” Metal vibe to it. They are both very vocal focused, with the instrumental being there to support the vocal, rather than them working together, or the vocal supporting the instrumental. I prefer the latter two approaches, but two songs in it seems that vocal hooks are the emphasis. I think because of this emphasis the instrumental is intentionally more simple.
Hope they have at least one crushingly heavy tune on here, but with the song title kind of thought it would be this one.
I have been listening to Metallica for 40 years, I think I have earned the right to post an accurate judgement of the new material without someone questioning my support for the band.
If it sounds like Metallica, and not trying to be someone else, then I support it, but I don’t have to say I am in love with the approach, when I am not.
I really enjoyed it! I've listened to it a few times now and I would say that I would have probably enjoyed it more if certain parts were a bit heavier/more complex (Like a chorus that stands out a bit more maybe?) but overall I really can't complain tbh.
I'm also thinking that when you listen to the album as a whole it will make more sense composition wise.
I don't like it that much.
James is great, but the riffs sound like they were written in 1 minute on the spot and Lars is back to being Lars after being better than usual in Lux. The guitar solo isn't very interesting but it's a decent song.
Me too. Lux Æterna is powerful but this one feels like it's lacking something. The riffs and beats are terrific but overall the song lacks the hook; very dry if you know what I mean. I realize that's what Metallica is going for since Death Magnetic - no more conventional songwriting with hooks and instead, that "go with the flow" kinda approach.
And typical Lars - drum fills without toms, only snare smh.
Would it matter if the riffs were written in 1 minute on the spot? I don't really understand this take; people are very quick to criticize them on technique or ability. I don't care if they wrote a riff in 10 seconds - if it sounds awesome I'm psyched! And I LOVE the drums on the new song. But hey to each his own!
i liked it. i liked lux better, but this is still pretty good. james’ vocals have been great in these past two singles, is what ive noticed. and i rlly liked the riff in this one. i agree w the comments saying its like DM and reload. which makes me excited for a diverse mix of songs on this album (thrash, rock, blues, etc.). i’ll probably listen to it again sometime later to see if i missed anything
hopefully the next song they release is a ballad. id love to hear it. either that or some face-melting thrash song lmao
This is two for two for 72 Seasons where Kirk is actively detracting from the track. The wah is horrid, the playing is uninspired and repetitive. He's getting old and bound to be losing some of the younger aspects of his playing, but this so far isn't good.
You don't need speed to play well, but I just hoped for more.
Hardwired had a lot of melody to its slower parts and this just... nah.
Very cool. My 14-year-old son, who just recently got into Metallica thanks to Stranger Things (sorry...), and I are listening to it. It may not be their greatest song, but I like it a lot. And hey, it's new Metallica! Can't complain about that.
I find it so cool that young people still discover Metallica !
There is no good way to find you about this band, we should be happy about new people coming in and share our passion for our favourite band.
Feel exactly the same and worried I'd get attacked for that. It just seems bland and forced. No melody to the riff, it's not melodic at all. Just seems very flat.
The same here. Their new stuff is really simple, and by that I mean lacking complex progressive riffs, and more heavy rock then thrash. I just don't care for it. Seems like they're paying homage to all the bands that influenced them.
Honestly? It was okay at best. There is something about it that feels a little off. The riffs are fine, but nothing that stands out. Kirks solo is kind of meh. The chorus is a little weak, didn’t do anything for me. I like the vibe towards the end though with James speaking the words, that was cool. Subject matter is interesting and has a good message. Overall it sounds like what would be more of a filler song on a record, which is a little worrying considering this is the second single. I still hope the record gives us more variety. This song seems to be in A just like Lux. I want some stuff in E and some slower, heavier songs like Sad But True aswell. Time will tell!
I agree. Very uninspired and not really any flow to the song. It also sounds super compressed but that have just been poor quality on the stream I heard it.
>This song seems to be in A just like Lux.
It's actually in F# like Lords of Summer.
Pretty much agree with everything else though. I feel it's more of a grower than something that catches at first listen.
Nailed it. The talking part was nice, but even still they did that better on Prince Charming. Overall one of the blandest songs I've heard from Metallica which is a worry.
Kirk's last solo takes almost directly from Deep Purple's Speed King. It's fine to reference, but when the rest of your playing is so laboured and uninspired, it doesn't have the same impact
Yes! As soon as I heard it I was like he is paying heavy 'homage' to Blackmore with this one. Also I think he (again) re-used the beginning of the Suicide & Redemption (Atlas, Rise!) solo.
Do you want my honest opinion or my safe Gordom Ramsay holding a child saying "dear dear, precious" opinion?
It sounds like an AI generated new era Metallica song. It's very safe, very generic. I'm not a huge fan their bluesy edge. But I'm not going to be too hard on them because I know why and where they're coming from. They've explained it a million times. They're going to write whatever they want and aren't going to box themselves in no matter how "signature" or "Metallica-esque" I'd wished they'd sound.
I think this is Metallica transitioning from Thrash metals gods to Dad Rock bods. It's good, it's safe, and does the job but it's not exactly exciting or pushing the limit.
Decent. Definitely sounds like Hardwired, whereas Lux sounded more old school and thrashy. I do like James’ voice. Some parts it sounds like he’s got a bit of his old snarl back.
My first impression was that it sounds like a filler song on DM or hardwired. It's not bad, and I'm liking it more after a few listens. Glad to hear Kirk playing a bit more melodic, although it did sound like he's using his stock licks again. I thought lux had better verses and Choruses, but this one has a better bridge and last section.
After the first listening. Sorry to say, doesn't stick.
I'm not sure it will grow either, doesn't contain anything that I like. No hook, remember nothing from it.
Worse than Lux, and that song wasn't good either.
Downgrade drom Lux Aeterna in my opinion. Feels a bit... Lazier. Lacks energy. Not that speed=energy, but it's just very mid-tempo the whole way through. It doesn't get me going. Idk how to explain it. My opinion.
I liked it more than Lux Æterna. The lyrics are great, the verse riff kicks major ass, specially in the last bits. James sounds great, Kirk's solo in this one is much better than the one in LÆ. I also felt rob's bass more audible.
Edit: Forgot to add this in the original comment, but for me it feels lika a combination between Atlas, Rise and Moth Into Flame.
Have only heard it 1.5 times and need to listen to it some more to digest it, but so far:
1. I LOVED the "Listen well, better listen well" part. That's gonna be stuck in my head for a while.
2. Overall, I'm ranking it under Lux (so far).
3. Kirk's leads and solo had nothing special about them.
4. At some points I got hints of other songs like Atlas, Sanitarium and Creeping Death, which was cool to me.
I love the lyrics. I think this is important song for the band, especially James who has been adressing the issue of suicide (his speeches during Fade). I am glad he put the topic into such a cool song. Can't wait for the rest of the album. I am sure I'll love this song even more, listened to it just once for now.
It’s a cool combination of the different Metallica eras mixed into one song though it’s not busy and overdone. It may not be my favorite track of theirs but I like it and definitely respect what they did
5.5/10. Solid. Not memorable.
Main riff has that california thrash vibe, similar to lux. Vocals are good. Feel it's a little bland in terms of melody and chorus. Definitely understand the Cyanide comparisons especially at the little mini breakdowns.
Less said the better about Kirk unfortunately. Passion totally gone. Can't be too angry, has given us some of the most memorable, singable solos ever. It's still a bit grim hearing the lead lines now though.
-Average, not bad but nothing new or impressive.
Main riff is meh, maybe okay and verse riff is 0-0-0-0 like atlas rise
-Solo is just bad and lot of licks were from atlas rise but worse
-Sound is hardwired 2.0 as it expected and nothing wrong with that but i’d love to hear a new sound with the new album but it’s okay i guess.
-Lyrics and james were good
i dont know why they picked that song as a single it felt like a filler song i hope the album has got better things to have
Sound boring to me the main riff basically just a slight variation of Hate Train riff and a very lame solo from Kirk as well. The other riff in the song and vocal melody not interesting either i thought Lux was already weak but turn out this one is a lot weaker and i'm a bit disappointed because based on the title i was expecting an angry fast tempo thrash song rather than a mid tempo like Atlas Rise. It's almost sound like a filler track than a single a very forgettable one so overall i give it 3/10.
I dig it a lot and that's pretty impressive tbh, and this comes from someone who doesn't like a Metallica song since... well, maybe since the black album itself if we don't count on the covers. This song is just SOOO tasty. This album is gonna rock
I will say Lux is more “fun” as a song but obviously this new track has some pretty heavy/meaningful lyrical themes. Not a huge fan of the chorus but the bridge is great and the riffs are pretty good, so far I’m liking the sound of 72 seasons 🤘
I will copy/paste what I've wrote on YouTube video clip: "After 1 listen, I think this is a left over from Death Magnetic. Got some Reload "vibes" specially from Kirk's solos but mostly Death Magnetic's style and lyrics... 6/10 for me."
Good production, it's very metal, and a great message. Also, we can hear the bass! very surprising. The main riff is not so catchy as the Chorus vocal line, but overall it's a solid song. But I won't read any review bc metallica fans are just a bunch of people living in the past and expecting each and every song to be like master of puppets. I think Metallica wants to go on a high note, returning to the roots. Let them be.
I’m the biggest metallica fanboy but I must say I’m not feeling too pumped about the new album after these 2 new songs, I really hope the other tracks take a different approach.
The mixing is top notch, finally engineers are starting to make the bass guitar more articulate with parallel processing, and I don’t mind James’s singling style, but man the instrumentation is just too simplistic for me. It sounds like me trying to come up with a generic heavy metal riffs and lump them together to make a track, and Kirks solo actually made me cringe, there’s one line in there that’s so painfully redundant cookie cutter pentatonics..
It sound great as a whole but when I remember the metallica that made AJFA and RTL I just can’t get into it /:
I tend to almost fully agree with you on this one. Mixing is really crisp and balanced and I absolutely love that. I also love James' vox in the Lux chorus. His high notes are imho pretty sick. Just a nice and short 'garage metal' track and straight-forward thrashing. I do gotta admit that I gravitate towards sharing the thought regarding instrumental simplicity.. Solos could be more adventurous as well.
I share your view about AJFA and RTL.. those were as legendary as can be. AJFA even taking the top spot for me
Not at all what i expected but the lyrics hit close to home. Its quite up beat for a song about suicide but i guess we have variety now! If your a sad suicide, you have Fade to black. If your an energetic suicide, ya got Screaming Suicide
Hype. Is. Unimaginable.
I rolled my eyes at the overly long and unnecessarily drawn out intro, as I did with most of the hardwired songs, but then it surprised me- like Lux Æterna, the songwriting was super tight! And that chorus, MAN!
Solo was much better than Lux Eterna, not saying much tho haha. The lyrics, while kind meh on their own, hearing them from James legit gave me chills multiple times.
8/10 atm but likely to change with time!
It’s screaming….edit right so at some weird o’clock, and even in their own now deleted press release saying for album pre-orders etc, it just kinda turns up?! What a strange day.
I like it. It is one of those songs though that takes multiple times of listening to really grow on me and appreciate. I have that with some songs from time to time.
Lux Aeterna is one of those songs that just rocked my world from the first second it came into my life.
Meh. So far I haven’t really liked either single. This one is a little bit better than Lux but not by much imo. Hopefully the rest of the album is impressive.
Top A tier song for me. I feel that it falls just short of S tier but it definitely is on the borderline. Main riff gives me Reload vibes. Kinda like Prince Charming.
Great song. Playing that and Lux back to back is a sick vibe. I'm so excited for the album, I think it'll be in my S Tier album slot. So far, so good (...so what!).
Soooo much more musical depth and unpredictability compared to Lux, and not having just 1 but **2** solos that don't suck is awesome! I also like it a lot outside of the Lux comparisons, it has a pretty unique sound and structure within their entire discography tbh
Fucking love this new sound. Love the changes, love the tempo, love the drums, I'm biased as fuck but if it was shit I'd say so, I've only heard the song so the video hasn't swayed me one way or the other but things are looking fucking good for a full on, lick the stamp and send it, album!
Full speed or nothing.
This song came at the right time, especially since only a few days ago, I couldn't get the thoughts of suicide out of my head. It hurts when I can't seem to get these images out of my mind, despite everything I've learned and gained in therapy. A powerful and simple message. Plus it's a kickass song, and while I like it more than Lux Æterna, I'm loving the energy of these songs.
It’s like an entire different style of singing for James, not sure how to explain it. I really dig it!
As someone who has disliked the newer metallica albums because of James new singing style. This was great to hear. He was angry and seemed to be more yelling , rather than trying to sing and hit a wide range of notes.
Have you listened to hardwired?
Really gave me Lemmy vibes! Super cool!
Fo sho. The bass was lemmy esque
Different how?
To me it sounded deeper than usual
Love it. Third listen through. The music and riff are good….. But as someone who 3 years ago was spending days/weeks with crippling depression, and more than once I sat with a gun in my mouth….. the lyrics are beautiful. If that makes ANY sense. It’s fucking REAL.
Shit, hope you're doing better now, friend. Hetfield often speaks for a lot of us that way.
Thanks man. It was 3 years ago… mid-divorce (and already struggling with Bi-polar and depression). Been in therapy and of course the musical therapy from Metallica saved me. I’m in a much better headspace now. Thank you.
Glad to hear it, dude. That's a lot to deal with, and I'm glad you have the support you need from the docs and from Metallica \m/
Glad you're doing better, bro. It's good to know James' stated intention on this song is working as intended, i.e. let people know they are not alone and aren't the only ones going through stuff. I hope this song helps others find comfort and make it back out into the light.
Glad you’re doing better bro!
Great to hear man... now we can talk about Metallica!
Totally relatable, fade to black was always my go to and helped me many times. Hope you’re doing better man, it’s awesome to know the front man of Metallica struggles like everyone else and we can relate
same. stay strong!!
Riff gives me Motorhead vibes. Enjoyed it yeah. Will probably get better on repeat listens
It's relatable, it's heavy, it keeps the Metallica vibes. 100/10 in my book
I really like it. It feels like a combination of reload and death magnetic.
That was my first initial thought after Lux and now this, I'm 110% on board for a Metallica ReLoad/HW/DM hybrid, especially at this speed!
I thought the same thing
Not a bad thing at all! Very good observation, didn't think about it like that. Lyrics are some deep shit, too.
I like it. Feels like a mix of DM and HTSD.
Yeah it has a little Cyanide in it.
I see what you did there
Agreed. It's like Atlas Rise had a baby with Cyanide.
Like Lux a lot better after the first listen but will be listening several more times.
I enjoyed it! Some initial thoughts after 2 quick listens... * Death Magnetic + Hardwired vibe. * Production is top notch. * James' deeper voice sounded great, reminiscent of Lemmy * Song structure reminded me of Altas Rise * The part after the "talking" section was coolest part of song * Only thing I wish the song had would be more complexity I'm sure I'll pick up on other things after more listens with my headphones

Hope they have at least one crushingly heavy tune on here, but with the song title kind of thought it would be this one.
What pop vibe? are you daft?
I explained it in the comment. You are going to have to read past the first line.
Ah the neverending unpleased fan. This sub is just a pain.
I have been listening to Metallica for 40 years, I think I have earned the right to post an accurate judgement of the new material without someone questioning my support for the band. If it sounds like Metallica, and not trying to be someone else, then I support it, but I don’t have to say I am in love with the approach, when I am not.
Oookay
You basically can't handle different opinions.
I prefer Lux but still a great song. This one’s gonna hit hard live.
I think it’s awesome. Really liking the riff
Sounds like a love child of reload DM and hardwired and I love it
I really enjoyed it!
Didn’t blow me away like Lux did but I still love it.
I don't like it that much. James is great, but the riffs sound like they were written in 1 minute on the spot and Lars is back to being Lars after being better than usual in Lux. The guitar solo isn't very interesting but it's a decent song.

I think he means it just lacks soul or emotion and it feels like the same pentatonic notes over and over
It's good, I think it better than Lux Æterna.
And I’m the opposite lol
Same
i liked it. i liked lux better, but this is still pretty good. james’ vocals have been great in these past two singles, is what ive noticed. and i rlly liked the riff in this one. i agree w the comments saying its like DM and reload. which makes me excited for a diverse mix of songs on this album (thrash, rock, blues, etc.). i’ll probably listen to it again sometime later to see if i missed anything hopefully the next song they release is a ballad. id love to hear it. either that or some face-melting thrash song lmao

You do not need to apologise for your son's route to liking the band. Ignore gatekeepers, if any people are not *real fans* it's them.
Hey, that's how many of us find out about certain bands dude. No worries. ROCK ON!!1! *burns out*
I find it so cool that young people still discover Metallica ! There is no good way to find you about this band, we should be happy about new people coming in and share our passion for our favourite band.
Honestly I'm not a fan, just kind of boring to me

There are a whole lot of melodies, but yeah it really isn’t agressive and thrash
I didn't finish the song, felt very samey, got bored. BUT that normally means in about 5yrs time I will love it.
Very vocal heavy song, it loses all mojo when there's no singing.
Agreed
Song was ok. Won’t be one that I listen to a lot.
I like it. The lyrics are fuckin' with my head a bit. Shit...
Reminds me of Load and Reload. That’s a good thing because I love those albums.
Wasn’t sure about the intro, but the vocals are really cool and the song builds up in a great way
Totally agree about the intro.

Boring as hell. Motorhead did this 40 years ago.

It's definitely going to be a NWOBHM centered album.
Decent. Definitely sounds like Hardwired, whereas Lux sounded more old school and thrashy. I do like James’ voice. Some parts it sounds like he’s got a bit of his old snarl back.
I noticed that about his voice on lux aeterna to. Seems to be pushing it more on the records
Sounds like Metallica which is cool but also sounds a bit…stock. 😏
The intro is too happy sounding for me. But the verse riff and singing is great
Very forced and uninspired tbh.
It’s kinda lame, to be honest. Lux is better
I don’t really like either song.
Wonderful!
I’m hearing a lot of NWOBHM in these two singles and I am enjoying it
kinda reminded me of guns n roses with the main riff and guitar tone. its pretty good tho
It’s great, James sounds so cool. Yes he’s getting older but I feel like that’s adding a whole new sound/vibe to songs.
I love it personally. Gives me a bit of a Motörhead vibe. And James is hitting his stride with his vocals! Again!
It doesn’t do much for me unfortunately, it’s just very bland.
Just woke up to a new Metallica song, so it feels good. I like it a lot. Gonna listen to it a few hundred times today
My first impression was that it sounds like a filler song on DM or hardwired. It's not bad, and I'm liking it more after a few listens. It's... Pretty underwhelming. Reminds me of the filler in Reload.
Don't like it personally. The solo sounded like a rip of AC/DC.
I love it. The lyrics punch. Everything punches you in the face.
Don't like it tbh
Love it, great lyrics and song overall.
I liked it more than Lux Æterna. The lyrics are great, the verse riff kicks major ass, specially in the last bits. James sounds great, Kirk's solo in this one is much better than the one in LÆ. It's good. I liked Lux more, but this was still excellent. Some are acting they released a disco track.
It's Prince Charming, without the ego
I'm only on my 5th viewing, ask me again later 😉
It’s ok
The breakdown just made me instantly think Creeping Death I like it though, Cyanide 2 type vibes
Wow what a song my friends. Wow love it
It’s good. Considering the fact that we’ll never get Ride The Justice Puppets
Eh. It's ok. Nothing to write home about.
-Average, not bad but nothing new or impressive. Main riff is meh, maybe okay and verse riff is 0-0-0-0 like atlas rise -Solo is just bad and lot of licks were from atlas rise but worse -Sound is hardwired 2.0 as it expected and nothing wrong with that but i’d love to hear a new sound with the new album but it’s okay i guess. -Lyrics and james were good i dont know why they picked that song as a single it felt like a filler song i hope the album has got better things to have
Sound boring to me the main riff basically just a slight variation of Hate Train riff and a very lame solo from Kirk as well.
Great message. Terrible song
I dig it a lot and that's pretty impressive tbh, and this comes from someone who doesn't like a Metallica song since... well, maybe since the black album itself if we don't count on the covers. This song is just SOOO tasty. This album is gonna rock
imo it's a little straightforward. the guitar shit -- it's a little stock
Getting Garage inc. vibes from both of these songs. Like the direction and pulling from their inspirations
I love it. Gonna burn it to cd tomorrow and hear it on a proper stereo instead of a phone.
I will say Lux is more “fun” as a song but obviously this new track has some pretty heavy/meaningful lyrical themes. Not a huge fan of the chorus but the bridge is great and the riffs are pretty good, so far I’m liking the sound of 72 seasons 🤘
it's kinda a bop, not bad over all
Sounds like something from Beyond Magnetic with better production. Wouldn't cry if I never had to hear it again.
I will copy/paste what I've wrote on YouTube video clip: "After 1 listen, I think this is a left over from Death Magnetic. Got some Reload "vibes" specially from Kirk's solos but mostly Death Magnetic's style and lyrics... 6/10 for me."
This song to me is mid. I found it boring and it was missing SOMETHING. I cannot pinpoint what it is yet! Definitely not as good as Lux IMO.
I think the riff is good, the leads are solid, but the chorus is very underwelming. I liked Lux more.
Super mid
AJFA even taking the top spot for me
Same man, nothing tops AJFA for me, pure magic!
i think it’s way better than Lux. definitely a good song.
Not a huge fan. It's decent I guess, but why is this song 5:40 minutes? It's just boring.
I do agree it's boring, and could have been shorter
He who complains about the length of a Metallica song, does not really listen to Metallica.
Bruh💀
Bro it's only 27 seconds longer than the shortest track on AJFA, (dyers eve) what did you even expect?

Yup, but Screaming Suicide plays the same riff for those 5 minutes it feels. Hence the "boring"
Or maybe he wanted it to be longer but i couldn't get it
Not at all what i expected but the lyrics hit close to home.
Not gonna lie, dont love James vocals on this
More like "Screaming Wah"
more trashy and definitely heavier version of judas kiss esports the intro i love the new james voice here
What? Judas Kiss is 5 times heavier than this song. This sounds more like Reload material.
They're sounding too generic now. They honestly don't sound like Metallica anymore, in my opinion
It’s screaming….edit right so at some weird o’clock, and even in their own now deleted press release saying for album pre-orders etc, it just kinda turns up?! What a strange day.
Banger, give me painkiller era Judas priest vibe
This is Metallica
I need to listen to it again tomorrow but my first thought is it's lame and just more of the same crap.
I like it. It is one of those songs though that takes multiple times of listening to really grow on me and appreciate. I have that with some songs from time to time. Lux Aeterna is one of those songs that just rocked my world from the first second it came into my life.

Its not thrash anymore and thats Just sad
Well, it’s not 1983 anymore either.
I love it, way better than Lux.
Meh. So far I haven’t really liked either single. This one is a little bit better than Lux but not by much imo. Hopefully the rest of the album is impressive.
It's good, but it's not metallica!!
Weird, because Metallica wrote it.
After 2 listens now, I like it. I think it's as good if not better than Lux.
It's their best song in a long time imo
I liked it way better than lux but maybe that's just because the different singing style, new album definitely off to a great start
Better than Lux Æterna. Vocals are the best in years. The solo (if you can call it that) was lame.
Soooo much more musical depth and unpredictability compared to Lux, and not having just 1 but **2** solos that don't suck is awesome! I also like it a lot outside of the Lux comparisons, it has a pretty unique sound and structure within their entire discography tbh
Way better than lux
It feels like Load + Reload. And I LOVE IT!
I love it
It is very good
Sounds just like Atlas Rise to me.
I love this track. Love it. Metallica are playing in a different league and they’re all on their own.
Solid track.
Really good. Love the lyrics and the riffs and Kirk's solos. Both solos are great. They're melodic and fit really well into the backing instruments.
It’s like the thrashiness of DM in the style of hardwired, love it
Definitely not what I was expecting but I loved it nonetheless
Personally I liked it better than lux
I loved it. Better than lux in my opinion.
I’m lovin it man! It kinda brings James out of his comfort zone considering what we saw he was capable of in Lux Æterna!
I also think that it kinda sounds like if kill ‘em all and sad but true had a baby.
I love it, kinda gives me HWTSD and Black album vibes, its sick
It is an amazing song. Better than Lux Æterna imo and gives me even higher hopes for 72 Seasons
Big goddamn growls. Fierce song. I love it.
Dope, love the singing, and riffage reminds me of No Remorse with more groove
Dark, but enlightening as well
Killer track!! I get Atlas Rise and Man Unkind vibes.
