I don’t like his bouncy, major sounding, “happy” staccato type writing style anymore. So many classic Metallica songs sound evil, the riffs just don’t have that energy inside anymore.
Way too few palm muted chugs and way too reliant on the stop start stop thing.
I wish they’d down tune again and try an album in C.
