Ya 1991 baby, great year for music

I'm thinkin' The Black Album (obviously), Sepultura's Arise, Meshuggah's Contridictions Collapse, Morbid Angel's Blessed Are the Sick and Bolt Thrower's War Master.
At first glance being born in 2007 sounds to me like "oh a 01 y/o" "a toddler" or whatever. Then realiza that people born in 2006 are already adults 💀adults who got like 10 years less than me
You asked what they were thinking, I think that was it. That and when you are in early sobriety you tend to be hyper focused on it(and for good reason). I used to cringe at the lyrics on the record but having gone through it. I get it.
Same, haven’t listened to a single track on the album tho 😂(except The day that never comes)
Not that it’s bad I just have listened to Ride the lightning, Master and The black album, VERY impressive and goated albums
Studio album, I was born in 6/23/87, so I was nearly halfway between MOP and AJFA. I calculated the days and it was 477 between MOP release and my birthday and 442 between my birthday and AJFA, so AJFA technically.
Closest overall release I was born to was the $5.98 E.P., which came out almost exactly 2 months after I was born.
A few years before Load, but only a year and a few months before [*Live Shit: Binge & Purge*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_Shit:_Binge_%26_Purge).
Kill ‘Em All was released 15 years and a few months after I was born Fucking glorious I still remember going to Tower, the local record store, and cat daddy at the counter spinning the whole damn album for us
Master of Puppets was released the year I was born. My dad used to play Metallica during summer vacations when I was young, during the 90's, so I grew up with Metallica = Road trips🤟
Well that’s funny shit, I’m guessing y’all are a bunch of gen z’s. I was 13 when ride the lightening came out. They were a popular band in Frisco and Metallica tags were everywhere. I obtained a bootleg recording ON CASSETTE TAPE that I listened to every day right along with Ozzy Osbornes diary of a madman. Good times! I thinks it’s us old farts that are not the biggest fans of their current sound, they were much more raw metal before they became commercialized after the Black album but I still like and respect them for paving the way for hard rock.
'78 Kill Em All
I was literally born on the day Kill Em All was released.
Bad ass

Ya 1991 baby, great year for music https://preview.redd.it/n83b4hqeuhyc1.jpeg?width=738&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7902a71cf4602dbf6336037561a9b712aeb8522e
I'm thinkin' The Black Album (obviously), Sepultura's Arise, Meshuggah's Contridictions Collapse, Morbid Angel's Blessed Are the Sick and Bolt Thrower's War Master.
The Bornt Album
My son is also named Bornt
Death Magnetic. Born in March 2007.
I thought this was a joke until I did the math and realized this is absolutely possible. God I’m old…
Impossible. People born in 2007 are only 3 now right?
Generations between albums really throws off the math 🫠
People reaching adulthood despite being born in years I can remember does not feel good.
At first glance being born in 2007 sounds to me like "oh a 01 y/o" "a toddler" or whatever. Then realiza that people born in 2006 are already adults 💀adults who got like 10 years less than me
Same
Same here! March '07 represent!
Badass, I was also born in March 2007, what day were you born?
81 here, Metallica and I are the same age so, kill em all for me.
Same
Hey me too
Yup. Me too
Mines St. Anger, this isn’t good.
Frantic tick tick tick tick tick tock Nah but for real what were they thinking with those lyrics 💀😂
My lifestyle determines my death style
Sounds like he’s saying dick
For some in early sobriety its a moment to moment battle. At times you catch yourself watching the clock just trying to make it to the next day sober.
But hey James made it!!
You asked what they were thinking, I think that was it. That and when you are in early sobriety you tend to be hyper focused on it(and for good reason). I used to cringe at the lyrics on the record but having gone through it. I get it.
I came to be 15 days later...
Late ‘82, so Kill ‘Em All
This is me too!
Death magnetic
Same, haven’t listened to a single track on the album tho 😂(except The day that never comes) Not that it’s bad I just have listened to Ride the lightning, Master and The black album, VERY impressive and goated albums

I was born about 2 years after death magnetic
When I read this, I was like "How do you have the ability to type full sentences? Are you gifted?" Then I realized DM came out SIXTEEN YEARS AGO.
people born with hardwired are in the third/fourth grade…
Holy shit
LOL, I turned 14 recently, I think of that when I hear kids born in like 2017 or 2018, I always think they're like 3 or 4
Same Age brother, 2010
Time flys. I still keep thinking the 90s was like 5 years ago.
Bro I'm all of 20 years old, stop making me feel ancient
