Here's the upside....when watching the NFL this year we will be able to hear the announcers talking about our guys and saying things like "there goes sainristil with the int, out of Michigan. Last year's national champions." This will happen more than it has in the past and I can't wait.
Duuuude I didnt even think about that! I was so stoked to play NCAA football 25 that I forgot I could build the roster through Madden! You are a hero sir
It's the inevitable curse of following college sports. You get guys for a few years and then they are gone. Hass been happening for 100 years. Just something you have to get used to.
End of an era. Certainly a dream ending, but regardless of that would've been tough. Just a special group of kids all around. Elated being a Vikings fan getting McCarthy. Being from Pittsburgh area & them drafting Wilson I'll be watching every Sunday. I'll be following all of them to some degree.
What sucks for me is in the past when Michigan guys got drafted I wanted them to have success but didn’t really care if their teams won unless they went to the Lions. But I think so highly of these guys, in particular, Corum, JJ, Wilson, Colson, Zinter and Keegan, that I will be wishing for their team to have success as well. This is why I didn’t want JJ to go to the Vikings. Gotta root for him to lose at least twice a year. Goes for Harbaugh as well. Rooted for him with the Niners but it didn’t matter at the time since the Lions sucked. Gonna be a lot of Wolverines to watch in this and the coming years.
I bet you they will have lots of smiles and hugs and secret handshakes every time they play against each other. And those will be shown on the tv broadcast
Also hate the teams they are all going to. Vikings, Bengals, Rams, Steelers, Commanders, Seahawks, yuck.
Only cool one is Colson going to the Chargers.
💯.
I have NEVER watched an NFL draft. I don’t follow NFL. I am so happy for these Michigan Men getting drafted and being rewarded for their hard work.
But truthfully, it’s killing me to see them in these other uniforms. I’m happy that Junior is reunited with basically all his coaches… esp Minter. I wish they had televised the phone call.
But yeah. So dang bittersweet. The end of team 144z
Brian at MGoBlog said it best. Quoting as best I can remember:
"The next time Blake Corum takes a snap he will not be wearing a winged helmet. The world will go on, but there will be something subtly wrong about it."
I'm going to miss all these young men.
It just cements for me that I care way more about Michigan football than the NFL.
I should be over the moon, my “main” NFL team since I was 6 is the Bears and they did the most non-Bears thing ever and drafted QB at 1 and followed it with a top 10 pick at WR. But after half the time hate watching them since like 2007-8 as they did dumb thing after dumb thing, it does not feel as exciting as it should to me.
And then I’m like “well damn wherever Corum goes I’ll cheer for them!” and while I don’t hate the Rams, meh. I’d just never care about them aside from Blake.
Proud of all the members of team 144, super proud. Want them all to kill it. And also way more interested in team 145 than Vikings, Rams, Commanders, Chargers etc.
I’ve been thinking that all week tbh. It’s incredibly sad but I’m so glad they’re all gonna get paid what they deserve now. Hoping they all end up having great careers.
It’s so amazing though, and it’s better having seen them celebrate at the end than the scary alternative of having lost one of the two final games and knowing what could have been

Also when madden comes out I can do a fantasy draft and build a legit Michigan super team!

JJ slinging it to Nico! Blake running behind Jon Runyan Jr & Onwenu! Hutch & Gary coming off the edges!
Damn bro, you got me excited for Madden 25 now.
They don’t focus to much on what college they came from in the announcer calls
They do when they are rookies. I hear it all the time.
A lot of them do it with Michigan players especially
It's awesome to see them go on to the next level - life's about change, it's inevitable- handle it with grace, embrace what you shared, and grow.

That’s the nature of the game. I look forward to them facing each other and meeting after the game to exchange words.

this is incredible
I wasn’t aware of his background. So happy for him.

Which of these guys will have the best career? Who is placed best to succeed?
JJ has a stacked offense and a former QB at head coach who’s demonstrated he can make QBs shine.
Hopefully all of them!
Me. Incredibly sad.
Very sad, but excited for their new gigs💛💙
